“I returned to Bristol for my birthday along with 3 friends who had never dined there. Our server was Calvin and he was outstanding. His cocktail recommendation for the smoked Old Fashion and a signature mocktail were spot on. 3 of us had the mixed grilll and another had the Maple Plank Salmon. Every bite of the food was delcious. I cannot wait to return - maybe for brunch next time!“

Staff recommended the Cajun butter with garlic parmesan which was a big hit with the group. “Love gulf shores! Went tonight to the St. Peter’s location and had a yummy dinner. The host was a young man and did a great job and our waitress was lovely and on top of it! Two elderly women came in a the younger of the two was extremely rude and entitled to the host (the young man). Rudely demanding a different table each time he tried to seat them. I just wanted to point out how well he handled it and that he stayed professional and kept a smile on his face the whole time. He deserves kudos. I told her on the way out to tone down her entitlement and not to be so rude to staff and she spiraled. Not shocking. I’m not a fan of treating those in the service industry rudely. Again he handled it very well. Good job to him!“

“The Capital Grill in Clayton was outstanding. The ladies at the front desk greeted us warmly and say us right away and wished us a happy anniversary. The young man that Brough out our waters and bread was friendly and also wished us a happy anniversary. Our waiter was dinner friendly and brought us champagne, and also wished us a happy anniversary. The manager came by to check on us during the meal and sent drinks out to us. The meal was incredible and was highlighted by my wagyu filet. I've never had a better steak in my life. At the end of a marvelous dinner the waiter brought out some complimentary dessert. I am a big believer that it's the little things that make an experience become great over just good. The Capital Grill has great food and excellent service, but on top of that they do all the little things right. It's something that you remember and tell others. We would highly recommend.“

“I got lucky and nabbed a last minute reservation for my birthday. This is truly my favorite restaurant! The food as always was exceptional. The only thing that was lacking was our waitress seemed a little put off being there. She was timely and attentive, but really not very friendly. This has not been the case on any other visit to your restaurant.“

“My husband had a birthday so his Mom and I decided to go to Kreis to celebrate. From beginning to end service was impeccable and the food was as good as you would expect from an institution that's been around since 1948. The highlights for my husband was the perfectly prepared prime rib, the wedge salad, and he enjoyed the on the house amaretto cheese cake with a festive sparkler. For his Mom and me, the filet medallions with mushroom red wine sauce were delicious and I particularly loved the apple strudel. I wish I could remember the name of our server with the slicked back brown hair because he deserves am extra shout out, but everyone there was pleasant and extremely efficient. I highly recommend!“

We got a call today and they had a fire so they couldn’t open but graciously made us a reservation at j Gilbert’s. My son got sick so I had to stay home but they called me and said they made her the fried cauliflower that she loves at Bristol’s tonight at j Gilbert’s!! Wish if they took pre-orders the lines are usually so long and sometimes not easy to wait when the temperatures are not the perfect conditions. Can we get a little more fries? We were welcomed by Mrs. Kathy herself, with that beautiful Smile, Charming personality, and Professionalism. Very clean restaurant, while our food was being prepared we were able to adore all the pictures of mrs. Cathy featured with so many celebrities all over the walls of the restaurant, along with other wall memorabilia’s The presentation of the Cajun Shrimp Pasta,and the Fish and Shrimp Combo both are must try dishes, and soooo delicious! From the first taste to the last bite left a lasting impression. I/we will definitely be back to try more of Mrs. CATHY’S amazing dishes and the Banana Pudding, and Strawberry Cakes.
