“Walking into what looks from the outside to be a tiny, intimate place, the expectation was high. Dark interior is elegant and the drink and food menu seemed quite good. That is until the food arrived. While salad was very good with fresh ingredients, everything else, from spaghetti with meatballs, deviled eggs, to calamari, they were with overcooked, lacked flavor, or simply wrong. Pasta should be more al dente while meatballs should be, well, meatballs instead of weirdly shaped salty ground beef. Deviled eggs shouldn’t taste chalky (that said, it was better as a cold leftover). And calamari would’ve been a better dish as grilled, not deep fried fast food. Given its excellent service and classy ambiance, let’s hope they figure out how to enhance their food situation.“

“The chicken parm sandwich and Italian steak parm sandwich-both delicious. Did some shopping as well- some authentic Italian ingredients and premade for those of us not as gifted!! Fun place to eat in.“

“When my wife said she brought home “car wash lasagna” I was skeptical to say the least. Hands down the best lasagna I’ve ever had, I’m only mad I hadn’t heard of this place sooner.“

“If I had to describe Lazia in one word it would simply be “Phenomenal”. In 2025 my husband and I had a small wedding at the Crossroads Hotel and an intimate dinner for friends and family in the private dining room. Our friends and family still rave about the amazing food and hospitality and we have never stopped recommending this place to anyone we meet who asks for recommendations in the area. My husband and I have been craving to come back here ever since that day and our 1 year anniversary sparked the perfect occasion. We have had nothing but great experiences with this hotel and this restaurant. From the moment you check in at reception to taking that final delectable bite, the experience is top notch. I have worked in restaurants in the Kansas City metro for more than a decade and can truly say that Lazia takes the cake. The dedication that is put into each detail is commendable and makes the experience worth every penny. The chicken parm is simple but delicious and the braised pork shoulder with polenta melts in your mouth. The Carpaccio is one of a kind and my life was changed by the hazelnut tiramisu. But I wouldn’t do this review justice without pointing out the reason we have come back to this restaurant and that reason is the team that most graciously hosted us and in particular, one team member named Stu. When we first came Lazia, we met Stu when we had our wedding dinner in the private room. The way he spoke about each dish was truly heart warming. We had never been to a restaurant and met someone who spoke so passionately about their job. He truly made our wedding dinner and our experience once again one year later on our anniversary. We were shocked to learn that he is in fact not the Chef, but just a man who truly believes in the food he is presenting and the team he is a part of. Not only was was the team first rate from the hostess to our service team and management, but it would not have been complete without Stu. Although we came back to this restaurant for our love of good food and 5 star wine, what solidified our return was our memory of Stu and how he truly made our small wedding feel like the most important event of the weekend. If we had one request it would simply be this, give Stu a raise and ensure you keep this man in your employ because he is the phenomenal finish to what is already and exquisite experience.“

“The food was delicious, but I really wanted to make a point to leave a review about our server. From the very beginning, Tayla was attentive and kind. She made sure to give great descriptions of the food, but the real icing on the cake was how much she went above and beyond. We brought in a cake from the bakery, and the host offered to keep it in the fridge for us. Tayla brought out the cake for us to take pictures and sing happy birthday, and then took it to the back to cut it. The cake was butterfly themed, and she cut out my mom's piece to look like a butterfly. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough, but highly recommend asking for Tayla.“

“Usually great food, and we est here often. However, last week we were 100% dissatisfied! First, the entire meal was late, they had to substitute knots for garlic bread, waited forever and the calzone had literally one piece of meat about 1"x1.5" and what looked like a mozzarella stick for cheese. The meal was gross, late, over cooked and not what we ordered or paid for. So disappointed. Since it is a long drive we regularly make I doubt we will be returning. $34 meal wasted.“

But backstory, my mom just passed away a week and a half ago and we’ve been on the struggle bus and our server was so incredibly kind to us and there was a magician they hired walking around doing tricks for tables. “Ordered this from uber eats. OMG!!!!! Everything was soooo good! Huge portions! Cooked to perfection! Idk where the photos that are on here from before came from but please disregard that other ones because this was perfect! I am a huge critic and I honestly thought I was going to be disappointed because I looked at the gogole review photos after I placed my order....and I am absolutely impressed. The quality and value here are unmatched. A certain burrito bowl and kids choice taco meal with chips and guac and a large queso cost the same to deliver as two catfish combos, a chicken strip combo and three drinks a shake and a chicken leg and mashed potatoes and gravy. The okra covered the entire bottom of the container, my daughter's chicken strip side, cheese fries came in it's own container and it was FULL. It took the driver 17 minutes to get here and the fish was still hot and the breading was still crispy e to enjoy. They didn't forget the sauces either! Also, they have strawberry Fanta.... bonus points. Again. I can't say enough. You have got to try this place.“
