“An amazing place! Delicious food and fun drinks. Think tapas- you order a bunch and share each. They course them out to you. A bit cramped if youre sitting in the tables for two, youre pretty close to the tables next to you. But its so yummy its worth it!“

“Most everything was great! The calamari was well made. The Korean Philly my husband ordered was super super yummy!!! I got the twisted chicken Alfredo and was super underwhelmed, the chicken tasted like frozen bag of pre grilled chicken I get at Walmart and the sauce was severely lacking and just bland. I feel like they could have really done something good with how it was described and it just was not good. It was a shame considering we came in town and only got one night to get good food and that’s what I ended up with. Service was good a bit slow but the place was packed so that is part expected.“

“Lonnie McFadden is an exceptional performer— he seamlessly intertwines moving renditions of jazz classics with KC jazz history and the most soulful tap dancing I have ever seen. We had to leave early this evening and were unhappy we had to miss the last half hour because he and his excellent band delivered a first rate jazz club experience. We will definitely return!“

“Kenny, our server was so awesome. He honestly made the experience along with the other teammates as well who brought out our food! When I walked in, even the host knew who I was with already, which made me feel very warm!!! I'm so glad I had my birthday experience here and I would recommend others going as well. The crab apple sushi roll was so good and I loved the sake cocktail along with the margarita cocktail. The scallops were phenomenal as well overall I enjoyed my whole experience 10 out of 10 and I will be back!!!!“

“Amazing, from the minute you site down you get the beast tasting, fresh baked bread. I had the Cauliflower appetizer to start . And then the crab cake. Finished with best creme brulie.

The menu changes everyday so. I had what you may not get to have.

“We did the distillery tour followed by the Mad Hatter speakeasy pop up. The tour was quite enjoyable and our guide Tony was awesome! There was a great selection of cocktails at the Mad Hatter and we enjoyed them all. Would recommend both the tour and the speakeasy.“

“My wife and I’ve been coming to the drum room for decades. We really love this fun hotel bar with a ton of history. Our latest adventure transpired on Easter weekend 2026.

We encountered a lovely bartender by the name of Jennifer, who was super kind and helped us do a little tasting of some different spirits we were interested in.

And she crafted our usual cocktails deftly. She even gave us a tip on how to get into another restaurant that we wanted to snag a reservation for.

Jennifer’s great service was appreciated and very well regarded by my wife and me.

“Brunch for wife and teen daughter was spot on. Quality of ingredients comes through. For example, breakfast sausage in the breakfast sandwich was light and herby. Wife's French toast was outstanding.

We ordered the ricotta and the calamari. Both were very good. The atmosphere was less than pleasant. We had a table behind us that thought every single person in the restaurant wanted to hear every word of their conversation. Clean restaurants. Great views of the city.“

It was the perfect spot for our guests to go while the ballroom was being transitioned into our reception! “We stopped by here before seeing a show at The Music Hall. It was great because it was within walking distance and we could make a reservation. I have been to the Drum Room countless times and had no idea about the restaurant in the hotel! We decided to split the grilled peach salad, the fried goat cheese salad and a side of fries. These salads were so good! I feel like you don't often hear people rave about salads after visiting a restaurant but these were both great. I would totally order them again. Our waitress was super nice and even let us know right when we sat down that they were short staffed and that she was also helping with room service. I always appreciate when staff is up front about situations like that because it helps customers understand and manage expectations. Our drinks were rather strong and we both had a hard time finishing them, but overall we had a good experience!“

“I grabbed lunch at the bar before work. The bartender was fast, friendly and attentive. I ordered a plain chicken and cheese quesadilla and a plain cheeseburger with house made chips on the side. Everything was fantastic! The quesadilla really hit the spot and the crema on the side was excellent! I’ll definitely eat here again if I stay at the Crowne Plaza when I’m back in town.“

“Small menu but quality food. Boulevard Burger was outstanding, as were the hand cut fries. The Boulevard Old Fashioned was fantastic. We sat at the bar. All of the staff was friendly and kind. Great food though a little pricey. The burger was $20 but we thought it was worth it.“

“We always enjoy visiting Bar Central before theater performances at the Music Hall, and appreciate being able to make a reservation. HOWEVER, this past Saturday, when we arrived, there was no host/ess, just a sign to seat ourselves. The bar was packed but there was one table for four available so we didn't have a problem. We're hoping this was a one-time thing and reservations will be possible in the future. Thank you.“

“Nice spot to grab a pizza and a beer when we were staying at the motel next door before an early morning flight. The service was great, and the pizza rolls and Caribbean jerk wings were delicious. A perfect, easy stop the night before traveling.“

“The dining area felt cozy and a bit luxurious. The ribeye with steak fries and green beans was delicious but it was pretty pricey. On the bright side, service was attentive and friendly since they went out of their way to refill water glasses even when it's not even close to empty.“
