“Lonnie's Reno Club serves up fantastic jazz with great food and a positive vibe. The staff is super friendly, and the food is top-notch. Trust me, you won't find an experience like this anywhere, and Lonnie's talent is unmatched. Definitely worth going – you won't be let down. We have been 4 times and will be back again soon. Every time is such a different experience. I really can't say enough great things about this show, it is my favorite and I have been to a lot of shows :)“
“We had only been to Rockhille Grilel once before and didn't have a great experience. Buuuut, we decided to give it another try during their Happy Hour. I got their Bruschetta and it was the BEST I've ever eaten and so delightfully plated. Simple, yet classic. Our server, Trevor was EXCELLENT. The Rockhill Grille will DEFINITELY be on our, "regular" list“
“We (Me, wife, and daughter) were there for lunch. My wife and I shared The Pig Flatbread and ordered my daughter fries and chicken tenders. We flatbread was delicious! My daughter normally doesn’t eat anything from a restaurant except fries or bread. We tried the chicken tenders just in case she changed her mind. She tried the chicken along with their housemade ketchup, which she typically rejects sauce, and she loved it. We ordered drinks and they were good too. The chef/owner greeted us at the end which was a nice end to lunch. Our waiter and hostess were great as well. Overall, it was a five star experience!“
“Absolutely love Brewers Kitchen. Staff is extremely friendly, local beer selection is fantastic and the food is nothing short of amazing. Ive had just about every thing on the menu in the last 6 months of visiting and have never been disappointed. Their house made Honey Mustard is exceptional and wish I could buy gallons of it for back home it's that good. The food really is the star of the show, you can tell nothing is frozen and everything is fresh and made to order. If you want the best burger in KC, you need to come in to Brewers Kitchen.“
“In the city's heart lies a gem where cuisine is elevated to art. The restaurant, with its modern, clean lines, exudes confidence and sophistication, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. Our journey here was remarkable, thanks to the kitchen's inventive use of ingredients, turning each dish into a visually stunning and deliciously surprising masterpiece. The service was another highlight, with attentive staff enhancing our enjoyment and making us feel part of the restaurant's family. A special mention goes to our second night at the Chef's counter, where friendly banter and culinary insights enriched our meal. This isn't just a place to eat; it's where food becomes an experience, blending taste, presentation, and warmth into something unforgettable. If you're looking for a vegetarian meal that will impress and delight, this restaurant is your destination.“
“The other BK as we call it. Love it. We had brunch this morning and it was wonderful. Our server Paul was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Been here for dinner several times and it's always great. Will definitely be back for brunch! Sorry I forgot to take photos of our food at restaurant. I'm posting what's left of my delicious breakfast sandwich. Husband had an omelette.Btw be careful what ketchup you choose. They have 3 different flavors.“
“A local favorite, always fresh, always delicious, small friendly vibes, incredible cocktails, what more can I say? Breakfast and lunch are bubbly and full of incredible options for all dietary restrictions. Vegan turmeric tofu scramble is both vegan and gluten free. Dinner vibes are moody with lots of candlelight. House made pasta and gnocchi, to die for, crab cakes and chicken livers are always raved about. Local beers and spirits, including NA options, served by knowledgable and friendly bartenders. For nearly twenty years Room 39 has served delightful experiences.“
“I had the duck and a sake flight. It was delicious and the flight was super interesting. My husband had the salmon. The menu is more set up for sharing, but the 2 dishes we had were full servings. It's also farm table seating. Meaning long tables they sit multiple parties at.Service was wonderful. Atmosphere was stunning.Highly recommend reservations. We got the brownie dessert, this wasn't my favorite and really expensive for $15. The video is of the creme Brule (not the brownie)“
“Food was so delicious, as was my beverage. Service was fantastic. We were so hungry that we neglected to take photos. Would highly recommend this place. A bit pricey, but also not terrible. One negative was it was cold and I was freezing.“
“A nostalgic environment. The menu is limited, but the food is excellent. Note that the menu slightly changes from week to week, or month to month or seasonly. So check their website. The artwork at the 21c was beautiful. And the TV was showing silent movies from the past. An excellent restaurant for dinner. We'll definitely be back.“
“The atmosphere is great, the food was amazing, and cocktails were delicious! We ordered four dishes to share between two of us which was filling (they recommend 4 to 5). The food did take longer than expected to come out, but their customer service is unmatched!Dietary restrictions: They ask when you sit down if you have any dietary restrictions. They then mark the menu with which dishes to avoid.“
“We visited Blade & Timber for the first time (None of us had ever thrown an ax before) to celebrate our daughter's 17th birthday. The service was excellent. Food was great. But our coach Winston went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having the best experience possible! We can't wait for our next visit!!“
“Good Mac and cheese place. We got the BBQ Mac which was of course super good. The BBB Mac which had SO MUCH bacon, it was a bit sweeter but still really good especially with all the bacon. And we got the fried Mac bites. Those were decent. Breading was super good on the and super crispy.Place is small with limited seating. Defiantly designed for the corporate clientele in the area. Self serv kiosk to order and looked to be one person behind making the food. He was supper apologetic of the wait (we didn’t wait long. Maybe 10 min). Nice little quick bite but better as take out instead of sitting to eat.“
“The food is a tad pricey for my personal budget but it is always very good and fresh. Their servers are very nice (Cy in particular) I come here with friends to play pool often, and it's never too busy when we go. This place is always clean and pretty cozy!I recommend their bread pudding.Parking: They have an okay sized parking lot, I usually don't have issues with it being full.“
“We were staying at the Hampton Inn downtown and were looking for a good restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. The city market area has about a dozen restaurants to choose from, so we chose this one. It was an excellent choice. The restaurant is very bright due to having a lot of windows, as well as many light fixtures inside. We started with the shrimp toast appetizer, and it was outstanding. It contained toasted pieces of baguette covered in gold shrimp, moray, chives, Sriracha, nuox Cham cauliflower, and sesame crunch. I could just eat that dish again for my dinner. For entrees, we had the Bahn MI sandwich and the grilled quail. The Bahn MI consisted of pork meatballs, bacon pate, pickled vegetables, chili aioli, banana ketchup, chili oil and cilantro. It was very flavorful but a little spicy. My husband had the grilled quail. He loved it. It was accompanied by ginger-lime fried rice. We would definitely return.“
“For our last meal in KC we booked The Farmhouse for breakfast. Located nearby City Market it is a wonderful and very busy farm to table place. I ordered the brisket tamale with eggs, Cotija cheese, and microgreens. It was fantastic. I never get fresh tamale as back east and this was a joy to eat. Every bite was fantastic. My Daughter got the lemon ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon. She loved it. The coffee was good and string a d the service was exceptional. If I'm in KC again this is a definite. Put it on your bucket list“
“Elise at Toms Town was amazing. She gave a great tour and the tasting with her was so fun. She has us addicted to the double oak Bourbon! If you do not drink bourbon, you can still enjoy the tour. Loved looking around and enjoyed the video of all the history that this distillery has. The food was an added bonus!“
“Very relaxed atmosphere and older crowd.. drinks are very very reasonable and you get a good quality drink for what you pay When I leave the house that's normally where I go and then back home again not because there isn't anywhere else to go here in Kansas City Kansas which there is it's just that I prefer this place.. you will find friendly, smiling people just ready to two step, enjoy, the night and make it home safely. That's my experience on a Friday night.“
“The whole experience was fantastic!!! We keep coming back here for chillin’ and special occasions with friends and family! The staffs are friendly and helpful. The food is great and lots of selection for drinks - affordable price! Highly recommended!❤️“
“RUN, do not walk, to this establishment. Let me tell you something... If you come to KC and don't eat here, you are doing yourself an INJUSTICE!!! I thought the Smash Burger was the best thing I had ever put in my mouth and then I tried the S'mores and TRANSCENDED from my body. Moody country rustic vibe beautifully and successfully done. The service was personable and not overdone and every cocktail tasted like it was hand rafted specifically for me. I will fly back here for this restaurant alone. This place looks like something you would see on Instagram and be like, "I'm visiting that city just to go there."Parking: Several spots immediately next to and around the building.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get into the restaurant.“
“Hands down a vibe of its own. Love everything about it! My tab was about 60$ for 3 drinks and 2 plates. I ordered the chips and queso and the chicken tenders. And some Tito’s and club sodas. The pricing isn’t bad and the staff was super nice! Definitely going back!“
“Concur, this is a friendly, even historic, watering hole in one of the original grand downtown hotels of KCMO. And thank goodness they didn't mess with the original woodwork and theme of the place. The neon sign outside is precious and should never be allowed to be messed with! Whether you're here to watch (or catch) a game or just hanging out with some pals for a nightcap, hard to beat this small venue away from the huge crowds some places downtown are seeking. I can keep coming back here just fine.“
“If you are a biker, stay away. The owner tells the help not to serve you. Turned about 50 of us away so we went to twin peaks. Greeted w open arms. This isn't the first time we've tried going there on the bikes both times we were asked to not be served, loudly across the bar“
“Talor and Rebecca were such great severs! The Cabernet pared so well with the kc strip and. Frites (I got salad) but then I switched to the espresso martini which paired so well with the fudge stuffed peanut butter cookie! Pairings patter and the staff were great!“
“My husband and I, and some dear friends, thoroughly enjoyed the 10 course meal with wine pairings, in the Tasting Room. It was the most amazing experience!! The food and cocktail/wine pairings were glorious and the experience was perfect! We will be back! Thank you for such an wonderful evening!“
“Atmosphere is 10/10. You can hear yourself think but it’s busy enough that the “vibe” is there. Didn’t have the greatest experience with my first plate but the waitress was incredible that she offered to replace my entire meal with another one. AMAZING staff and atmosphere. And GREAT gnocchi pork shoulder dish.“
“Lovely Saturday night date night at Charisse. This was my first time here and the location and ambiance is very nice and quaint. The service was efficient as well. The prime rib was our favorite and extremely flavorful! We will be adding this to our list of nice date night places for sure!“
“11/10. Incredible experience from start to finish. Food: Phenomenal. The ingredients are mainly locally sourced and the menu is Missouri farm-to-table concept essentially - SO well executed. The menu is elevated, unique & cool, yet *totally* accessible to those who may be less adventurous eaters, etc. Perfect balance. Appetizers: we had the Housemade rolls & chili butter, the smoked ricotta spread topped w/ sweet cherry & red pepper jelly w/ fried saltine crackers (my fav!), and the country ham and rice arancini - all amazing. Entrees: We had the pasta with house made Ricotta cappelletti braised Rabbit (we ordered a half-size portion, might have been my fav dish of the night!), rainbow trout, Pickled chicken thighs & tenderloins, and Pork chop. All were PERFECT, our table was raving. The cocktail menu: Delicious, we all had different house specialty cocktails and loved them all.Service: Knocked it out of the park. They were very busy and had a minor delayed start to service, and without prompting they came to our table with several beautiful, complimentary appetizers “for our trouble” for the initially slightly delayed service which was SO generous, extremely classy and unexpected. ❤️ Their waitstaff was so knowledgeable, attentive/above and beyond, and just lovely.Price: SO reasonable for the level of fine dining, quality, and portions they serve. Yes, you can get a pricey (but exquisite looking) dry-aged steak & expensive bottle of wine if you’re looking for a $$$ experience, but you can have an absolutely accessibly-priced upscale dinner here as well, easily.Highly Recommend this place for any special occasion, date night, dinner with friends, or just anytime you want a guaranteed amazing meal. Thank you to the Chef, and their whole staff! We will be back for sure.“
