“My boyfriend and I loved it here! Our server, Yeli, was quick and friendly. We got half priced appetizers, calamari was seasoned well and yummy! We also got the cheese curds, and as someone who was born and raised in Wisconsin I can proudly say they were DELICIOUS! The chicken in my chicken fettuccine was perfectly cooked and seasoned, some of the best chicken I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The noodles were so rich and buttery. We will be sure to come back! ❤“

He also teaches you about the history of jazz in kansas city and really about how each song came to be. This was a genuinely a fun time that I wish would have lasted longer. “I just want to say what a GREAT experience I've had dining at Hemma Hemma! I've been there twice so far, and have been consistently impressed.

This past week, I joined a friend for lunch, and we both want to formally thank Dana at the front counter for being so welcoming, gracious and helpful. I accidentally knocked over the menu holder, and she reassured me that it was fine and happens frequently. My friend and I split the bill for our order, and she cheerfully rang up each of our portions separately. She guided us through some of the menu options which was much appreciated as there were some new items since my last visit.

The food here is FANTASTIC!! I can't remember what I ordered on my first visit (but I do remember that it was delicious!); this week, I had the Brookside Buiddha Bowl, which was AMAZING! Even the presentation was wonderful (see attached photo)! All the ingredients were delicious, and the flavors melded beautifully, and it was so satisfying; it kept me fueled and focused during a long afternoon at work. My friend had the Pickle Chicken Bacon Ranch salad and said it was mouth-wateringly fabulous.

The weather was nice enough to sit in the outside patio, which is well-appointed (even a free water station); the first time I was here, I ate indoors and the dining area is light, airy, and expansive, with plenty of room between tables and quiet enough to chat.

Having such a healthy, delicious restaurant in the neighborhood is marvelous, and I'm already planning my next trip back to Hemma Hemma! Thank you all SO much!“

“The food & service were impeccable. The noise level was a detraction. It was hard to hear my husband when he was speaking, due to a large group of people at an adjacent table. We had to lean toward each other to hear when one of us was talking. Otherwise, it was a good experience.“

Pancakes are great. Cheesecake brulee was amazing. Pretzel good. Fire shrimp great. Ribeye cooked perfect medium but didn't have a great sear.

“The Fold is the best new restaurant in the crossroads the perfect date night spot! It’s moody and elegant, delightfully unique and welcoming. Perfect atmosphere for a special occasion or just to try something fun and new! (Not to mention the whole menu is gluten free!) love this place so much it is a must see downtown!“

Our server, Lauren, was top-notch: attentive to every need, full of great recommendations, and wonderfully warm and engaging.
Head chef Megan was just as lovely—so friendly and welcoming, and incredibly talented. Every dish we tried was fantastic. The manager checked in with us to ensure that we were having a good experience.

The chicken wings were a delicious surprise—an unexpectedly refined take on a familiar favorite. The mushrooms in the fried rice were to die for, and the sushi rolls were amazing. We can’t say enough good things about the food.

The atmosphere made the evening even more special, with pottery, exposed wood, great music, and even a bathroom that felt like an experience of its own. I wanted to move in. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you.“

“I have lived in the KC area all of my life, not sure how I never knew of this place. Really cool little farm to table restaurant. I went with 2 of my nephews today and we loved it. I had the Steak and Eggs Benedict and it was perfect. My nephews had the Salmon Scramble and the Huevos Burrito, and they both said they were great. We will be back.

Today was my second trip here and it was as good as it was the first time, but I had to get the steak and eggs benedict again. I went with my sister and her husband and three kids and all of them loved it. And I will say Adam was one of the best servers I've ever had.“

“We did the 4:30 distillery tour and it was really fun! There is not much walking and an elevator available for those that need it. Our tour guide was very interesting and he did a great job of teaching us about Tom Pendergast and also about the liquors that they distill. You can start with a drink in their bar and carry it with you throughout the tour if you like!“

“We chose to dine at Grand Street - Plaza on a recent Tuesday due to good experiences in past years, close to KC Rep theatre where we were going afterwards, and convenient, free parking. Though their normal parking lot is torn up, we had the choice of attached parking garage (very convenient after entrance is found) or parking on the other side of the building. We enjoyed house salads, the trout and salmon main dishes, and house drinks (happy hour prices). The lady who served us did a great job.“

We could see the city life below from our corner room, but most of the noise was completely blocked out! The hotel bar and the terrace bar were both amazing! And breakfast at the hotel was to die for! We will definitely be staying again!“

“Staying at the Hilton Presidents Hotel in downtown Kansas City we stopped by the Drum Room located on property and accessed via hotel lobby or its side entrance. Good and atmosphere were so good we ate there 2 times. Started with Fried Goat Cheese and Beet Salad and finished with the KC Beach Burger with garlic fries and Meatball Farfalle pasta dish. All were amazing and didn’t venture far on our second visit and skipped the salad as the 3 items were way too much on the first evening. Second evening we shared a bottle of Sav Blanc from N.Z. Amazing.“
