“We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. “I have been a customer of Salt N Smoke for the past 4 years and always have had a wonderful experience, however this recent time with a nightmare to say the least... I ordered on 1/12/2022 around 8:45 PM via a Call-In on a Debit Card. What I ordered was (2) Bestie 2 Combos, one with Sweet Ribs and Smoked Wings sides were Sweet Potato Chips and Mac n Cheese, the 2nd Bestie 2 Combie was Ribs, Smoked wings and for the sides it was the Fries and the Mac N Cheese. Total for the Order was $41.72 Charged to VISA Debit Card Ending In (4360) I recently moved away to Iowa in the past 1 year so anytime I come into town in Saint Charles to see my parents which is often I always get Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles, MO I wish I could get it from Delmar if it was closer because I have never had a bad experience at that location ever, however Saint Charles is a different story. When I got to my parents I noticed all of the food was cold, not even slightly warm, I was really confused on how that was possible because I arrived at Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles before my order was finished. I ended up warming up both dinners because I did not want to waste food but still could not get myself to finish the meal mainly because there was something very wrong with the chicken almost like it was spoiled, my girlfriend was trying to be polite and ate everything to her regret, 1 day later she told me she had the worse stomach pain she has ever felt and it was so bad where we had to rush her to the E.R Hospital at Great River Health Center in Fort Madison, IA where we currently reside. After waiting 2 hours, doing blood tests and urine samples the doctor came to the conclusion that my girlfriend had gotten "Gastritis" which is a bad stomach inflammation which the doctor recommended it was caused from the poultry at the BBQ place she ate which was Salt N Smoke on Saint Charles... Tried to write them via Email no response, they will be hearing from my attorney.“

“The salmon was cooked very, very well, but could have used more seasoning. The rib appetizer came with the meal. It had good flavor, but was tough, maybe that’s St. Louis style(?) The server/bartender was great, but he needed more help. The girl that came in to ‘help’ was mostly talking to one customer while he handled the rest of the place, bar and tables. The cheesecake was delicious!“

“We went here and got the ribs, chicken, greens, sweet potato’s and the sweet tea. Everything was so yummy! One thing to also add is that everyone was so nice!! We where going to stop by on our way back to the airport but we where running late and didn’t have time
I would 10/10 recommend to anyone in St.louis.
The cashier was so nice and gave us free samples of the sweet tea and asked if we wanted to change the sweetnes and when the kitchen gave us green beans instead of collared greens she gave us both with no added price. Everyone including customers helped us when we were struggling with the ordering screen.“

“We've been going to Lester's for years. My whole family. The food is AMAZING. The service knows us by name. The BBQ brisket salad with onion rings on top with ranch and barbecue sauce is YUMMY! I recommend Lester's. My whole family loves the place. Top notch!“

“One bite mannnnnn. I'm one bite in and writing this review. When I say this food is ridiculously good. Rib tips straight out of a dream. I've never had more tender than this. Sauce just A1. And it don't stop there. The baked beans???? 🔥🔥🔥 The potatoe salad??? Like your grandma's. I wish I could leave 10 stars.
And for the bougie people, this is not a corporate joint. Don't come here expecting what you'd expect at a chain establishment. Appreciate your local business and how it helps humanize and bring together the community it serves. Embrace the atmosphere just as we do the Chinese places on ever other corner. “i have been there several times and always call ahead for a table in the bar area. i love the bartender my drinks are always fast and taste good , i alway love the bands because it is a older group of peeps ,like me , but they are loud ,sit in the bar at the high tops and you can see all the bands and the peeps dancing and the girl bartending i think is jamie is so friendly“

“Not up to usual standards. Apparently due to lack of servers like many restaurants at this time. Over an hour to receive our salads. Our order was taken in the first 10 minutes, but was taken by another server about 45 minutes later. Food was acceptable, but not up to previous visits. I would continue to recommend this establishment. I would assume this was an exception. I did find it odd that the servers may no attempt to offer dessert or some other form of compensation. They both were clearly aware of the delay.“

“I came to visit St Louis and saw a video of this place on TikTok, and we got the oxtails with cabbage and yams which are so tasty the meat is very tender. My wife got the rib tips, Mac and yams and the Mac was amazing very cheesy. Definitely the place to check out“
