She made sure that we had everything we needed at just the right time without interfering with our lunch conversation. “Evangeline’s has a classic Central West End vibe, with charming patio seating, a modern New Orleans–style interior, great Cajun food, and live music. Our table enjoyed gumbo, shrimp and grits, and beans-and-rice dishes, along with excellent wine. We were there on a Thursday, when ambient noise was lower, so the music was a little loud for our table conversation, but we took dessert to go and thoroughly devoured that too. Great local restaurant!“

“We wanted Italian food and we decided to go on the hill to Zia‘s. We ordered pasta dishes, which was extremely nice portion size. The bread was delicious when you dip it in olive oil. I also had the French martini which was delicious. I think if you have a taste for Italian food pasta, you couldn’t find a better place.“

“Best filet I’ve had at a restaurant in years—perfectly cooked and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The au poivre sauce was rich and dreamy. Warm, crusty bread with their butter-olive oil combo started things off right. Shrimp scampi was spot-on. Fries with the steak were crisp and addictive, especially with the aioli and ketchup. Sat at the bar—service was good, just needed a touch more attention. Overall, killer meal. I’ll be back.

After taking our Grandchildren for pics with Santa, we stopped at Charlie Gitto's and were WOWED by Melissa and her teammates. Our four grandkids; ages 13 to 1, were all treated with respect, acknowledged and included, and able to see for themselves what kind of great service they should both provide in their future careers and expect from the providers they choose. The food was great, (veal, steak, seafood pasta, calamari, mocktails and cocktails, apps to dessert all was wow.) The table was perfect for our needs. The kids weren't trapped in a booth so if they needed they could have gone to restroom... but they were never bored or impatient. Everything was timed perfectly. Our Middle fella could watch the kitchen while he anticipated his dessert. Melissa coordinated the food runners, bussers etc all while making sure we had all we needed for a wow evening. Seriously.. management... listen.. I don't know her but If I thought I could hire Melissa away... I'd try. Do what you need to keep her and people will keep coming back. My wife and our grandchildren were all very happy to have a dinner we won't forget. Bottom line... the kids talked more about dinner than they did about Santa. “Very good gizzards and wings! Nice crispy cooked fully gizzards! I stopped eating gizzards years ago because of London and Sons failure to hold good food after the passing of the throan, no one had gizzards like them. But after being introduced to Hooks recently , this is the place for good fried tasty food! Check them out in the little plaza!“

“It is my daughter’s 16th birthday today and we made a reservation at their sister restaurant Bristol’s awhile back. It’s her favorite place to go because of the fried cauliflower. We got a call today and they had a fire so they couldn’t open but graciously made us a reservation at j Gilbert’s. My son got sick so I had to stay home but they called me and said they made her the fried cauliflower that she loves at Bristol’s tonight at j Gilbert’s!! My family said everyone is being so nice and definitely made my daughters night!! Thank you so much for all you did to make her 16th so special!! You guys are amazing!! I can’t thank you enough!!!“

“I walked this entire strip of the airport looking for a soup. Found the chowder here hit the spot. It was piping hot and flavorful. I also ordered hush puppies that were better than the chowder. Chowder $9, hush puppies $11, and sprite $6. $27 for this meal was a little much but expected at the airport. Next time I would just drink water.“

“We reserved the big room for a family party of 24. Our servers, Rachel and Harrison did a fabulous job! They were patient (we're a loud bunch!), checked on us without being a nuisance, and accommodated some late-comers with adding onto the end of one of the big tables. The food was fresh, delicious and brought out hot (not lukewarm)! Some of our party even ordered dessert! Xavier did a great job of bussing the table and grabbing extra drinks, etc. Considering how many people we had, I felt like it was a good deal price-wise as well.

“I was leary about trying Kay's out because it was almost lunch time. I took a chance and I'm so happy I did! I got the Lobster fried rice and garlic parm wings and fries. It was delicious! The rice was moist (the Lobster was a lil over cooked) but it was still good. The wings and fries were yummy! There was no wait when I arrived. Customer service was great, I waited maybe 25 minutes. It was worth the wait really happy I stopped by!“

Some people were waiting (not sure for how long) my reservation was for 6:45 and we were sat exactly then at a table that was in a great spot. It didn't feel like they scrambled to find a table like some other places. It felt like they actually held a table for me.“

It can sometimes be hard to find sushi that's made the way it deserves but they certainly do it here 🍣 ❤️ The only thing that would make it better is if they had boba tea🧋 but I can't complain! 😌“

“Whole duck was delicious. First time visiting and will be back. Didn't have a chance to try anything else because it was the day of thanksgiving and the kitchen was closed to their other items and all I wanted was a whole duck anyway but will go back to try other items of the menu. Duck EXCELLENT!“
