“I don’t understand why this place doesn’t have 5 stars across the board. The place is perfect! Presentation, flavor, service, all is perfect! We had a variety of different plates tonight. I have never had a disappointment with anything here. However, when asked what my favorite tastes were, I have to say the scallops, which was a special, or the shrimp scampi, (an hors d’oeuvre) were at a tie. Both perfectly cooked and the scampi with the sauce and the bread is incredible! We also had Mac n cheese, onion rings and fries as a side. Normally I don’t get these items, as I never would at another restaurant, but here, you know it’s going to be great with our next few meals! The halibut and the vodka past were also both perfect! I really don’t know how else I can describe it. We ended it with a Tavern Sundae as well as espresso. The sundae was again, something I would never order, (I’m not a dessert person) but it was served with chocolate, vanilla, strawberry ice cream, homemade whip cream, hot fudge and a variety of toppings. Sounds basic, but with multiple people, it was the perfect way to end meal! Drinks, cocktails are great and creative (or classic) and the wine list is a perfect pairing to any meal you have. Service is always a plus for me and every time I have been, they always deliver! Well done!!“

“I’ve come here for dinner several times. It’s great for a date night with my husband or for birthday dinner with the family. I’ve truly enjoyed everything we’ve ordered.“

“On the day I went, a jazz quartet played, and I was able to hear better music than the jazz bar I waited two hours for in New York. The play time is long, the sound value is good, and the sound is loud enough.
For food, I ordered a shrimp sandwich with beer, and although the raw onion and butter were strong, it was delicious.
However, there were only 4 to 6 tables of customers, the piano had its back to the customers so they could not see the piano playing, the customers were eating and talking rather than concentrating on the performance, and so the customers were guided to the back rather than in front of the performer. I think it would be a shame from the artist's perspective.
It was like a gift to me before leaving the United States. There is no separate music fee. I would go here even if I only had $20 in my pocket. It was great to enjoy jazz alone.“

I enjoyed the Alabama Slammer beverage We had the seafood artichoke dip and alligator bites for appetizers I enjoyed the parmesan encrusted red snapper, green beans, and mashed potatoes Banana pudding cheesecake Everything was delicious The restaurant staff were friendly, especially our server Hana- she was truly astonishing and sweet. “We wanted Italian food and we decided to go on the hill to Zia‘s. We ordered pasta dishes, which was extremely nice portion size. The bread was delicious when you dip it in olive oil. I also had the French martini which was delicious. I think if you have a taste for Italian food pasta, you couldn’t find a better place.“

They have their set menu and they have mastered every single dish! From the arroz con pollo seasoned to perfection, to the seafood ceviche your tastebuds will be dancing with delight! After taking our Grandchildren for pics with Santa, we stopped at Charlie Gitto's and were WOWED by Melissa and her teammates. Our four grandkids; ages 13 to 1, were all treated with respect, acknowledged and included, and able to see for themselves what kind of great service they should both provide in their future careers and expect from the providers they choose. The food was great, (veal, steak, seafood pasta, calamari, mocktails and cocktails, apps to dessert all was wow.) The table was perfect for our needs. The kids weren't trapped in a booth so if they needed they could have gone to restroom... but they were never bored or impatient. Everything was timed perfectly. Our Middle fella could watch the kitchen while he anticipated his dessert. Melissa coordinated the food runners, bussers etc all while making sure we had all we needed for a wow evening. Seriously.. management... listen.. I don't know her but If I thought I could hire Melissa away... I'd try. Do what you need to keep her and people will keep coming back. My wife and our grandchildren were all very happy to have a dinner we won't forget. Bottom line... the kids talked more about dinner than they did about Santa. “Two couples meeting to celebrate a retirement. Service and food were top notch. He walked us through the menu, suggesting meal pairings. Severs never hovered, but swept in when needed. Three of four steaks were about perfect. The 4th was quickly resolved with no issue. Lobster maccaroni and cheese and roasted Brussel sprouts were very good.“

“As we hear story after story of COVID outbreaks happening in beef and chicken slaughterhouses, might I recommend trying this outstanding commercial seafood supplier who ships right to your door? They could use the business while restaurants finish getting back on their feet.“

My wife got pork chops, which was great. Twice baked potatoes were great. The salad was good. Toasted ravioli was just ok. Desert cheesecake was good. apple pie was good.
Wish they had booths, not a big fan of tables will for sure go back.

Kid-friendliness: I would say it's a place not to bring small kids that don't listen.“

“Found this place on google and decided to check it out. Employees were very welcoming and friendly! Food was absolutely amazing! My boys (7,10) had chicken nuggets and fries and they both said they were the best fries and nuggets they’ve ever had! My husband ordered the red beans and rice, gumbo and green beans and smoked turkey. He enjoyed all three! I’m ashamed I’ve never had green beans with turkey before today. Absolutely recommend that as a side!! I had a fried shrimp po boy and our server recommended some kind of spicy sauce that they have and it did not disappoint! “The Mad Crab is the Best. The fist time I came here was for my 41st birthday my dinner party was huge. I had a ball this is my Favorite restaurant now . I love the crab legs & shrimp boil with the shabang /triple threat sauce medium. It was seasoned to perfection.“

“It is my daughter’s 16th birthday today and we made a reservation at their sister restaurant Bristol’s awhile back. It’s her favorite place to go because of the fried cauliflower. We got a call today and they had a fire so they couldn’t open but graciously made us a reservation at j Gilbert’s. My son got sick so I had to stay home but they called me and said they made her the fried cauliflower that she loves at Bristol’s tonight at j Gilbert’s!! We did the 3 course special we ordered the NY strip. It was wonderful the compound butter put it over the top. Cooked perfectly MR. The parm potato where so fluffy and flavorful. The vegetables was asparagus tender crisp it was a little bland compared to the rest of the meal but still very good. To back up we both ordered salad as the starter
I had the ceaser and was one the best i have had
My wife had the mixed greens and it had lot of extras on it. She loved it. Desert was take home. I ordered the bread pudding it was fantastic. My wife ate half. She ordered the cheesecake and it was good.
The bread was interesting and kinda 🤔 and the perfectly cooked asparagus being bland are the only negative

“Love, love, love them! I haven't been into the restaurant yet but I'm a certified "regular" on Postmates 😅 As a former sushi chef, I truly appreciate the consistent quality and presentation. It can sometimes be hard to find sushi that's made the way it deserves but they certainly do it here 🍣 ❤️ The only thing that would make it better is if they had boba tea🧋 but I can't complain! 😌“

This had the charm and finesse that is often missed in the new LOUD places. This place was packed but still quiet and the perfect setting for a romantic dinner. Not cheap but well worth the money.“

It had a great crust and fork tender with great flavor. NOTHING was bad. Service matches the flavor. Food came fast, and the waitress made our dinner a great experience.
