“Drove to STL to visit the Laumeier Sculpture Park. Stopped by Mellow Mushroom for some food before the drive home. SO happy we did, we never heard of Mellow Mushroom but it quickly became one of my new favorite Pizza places. Such a cool ambiance! We got the Maui wowie and the funky Q chicken! 10/10 also; amazing crust!“

“We came in for a Father's Day gift. Met up with Stephen at the Bourbon and Brews festival hosted by the STL Bourbon Society and was interrsted in the bourbon tasting experience.

We came in on a Sunday and got to experience something so many bourbon enthusiasts rarely get to: tasting and then trying to blend your favorites together.

The first 1hr or so was spent sampling 20 different bourbons, wheats, ryes, and single malt /Barley. The staff was attentive and awesome to interact with. As we tasted our way through the bourbons we ordered the chacuturrie (sp?) Board. The meats and cheese came from a local store and all from MO, and were delicious. Personal favs were the jalepeno & honey cheddar and the cajun sausage.

The last 2 hrs was spent with Stephen and Zach, trying to get our blends to match what we wanted. A lot of trial and error but their knowledge on which whiskey inparted which flavor/heat/abv was impressive. 1st blend too earthy? Zach knew which bourbon was the culprit and how to adjust, and kept at it to get you the blend you wanted.

The end of this 5hr experience (we're on the slow side and took our time) was a bottle that was unique, an experience that left us thinking of when we could come back, and as a bourbon fan; a better understanding of how challenging it is to create a great blend.

For the price of $140/person we had a personalized tasting, a custom bottle ( we picked the name of our bottle), this is an experience everyone should try; especially if you're diving into the bourbon scene.

“One of the better mid size venues to see a show. We've been multiple times over the last 10 years and have never had a bad experience. They have the right amount of security to make everyone feel safe but not so much that it impacts the experience if the show gets a little rowdy. With that being said the demeanor of the crowd as far as the shows I've been to has been great. I've yet to see any fights or groups of people getting blackout drunk. For me the acoustics of the old building have been wonderful and the set up of the stage gives a good view for most of the patrons. Certain shows will fill the building so it's always best to get there early. Also total gold star move that they have multiple water stations with cups on each floor.“

“A cool little dive bar with pinball machines. On a Sunday night they seem to have some league whereby people play them all night so normal patrons can’t use them. It’s a pretty cool place though, and if you can find a night where you can play pinball or just listen to the jukebox, I’d definitely recommend it. Tiny chef is excellent also and they sell food at a window inside the bar.“

“This place is so, so cool. My cousin took me out for dinner and I had never even heard of this spot. Wow, it’s such a beautiful and moody spot full of charm!! We had to wait 15 minutes for a booth but I didn’t mind because this place serves LOOKS. The decor was awesome! Everything from the stellar service, crispy and lacey smash burgers and gorgeous dining room(s) made me realize why this spot is always recommended to me. We were very happy with our food and it was under $50 for two people! Check out Golden Hoosier, you won’t regret it.“

“Stopped by for a chill night and was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was actually pretty decent—crispy crust, good flavor, and hit the spot. The pool tables were a nice bonus and kept things fun without feeling too crowded.

“We've been here a few times and it's been consistently excellent on all fronts. Maybe the most European vibe of any spot in STL. I prefer branzino (and most fish) grilled whole, but the butterflied version they serve is still outstanding and a better fit for St. Louis tastes (I love STL, but for some reason many folks even struggle with bone-in chicken here). This time I had Vincenzu's Sicilian sausage (complete with Sicilian spelling of his name!), which was excellent. They also had a wonderful Sicilian white wine (nerello mascalese, never saw it in the US). I don't we've ever encountered a misfire. Oh, and the host is very charming and helpful!“

“Everything about Robin was above expectations! Traveled in from Chicago, and before I arrived to St Louis, the team was able to help me secure a reservation. Upon arriving to Robin, the dining experience and service was impeccable. The vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant was perfection and truly allowed for a beautiful dining experience. Tables are well spaced, and the noise level that typically generates from other diners was basically non-existant. Drinks were top-notch, and whoever curated the drink menu should also get high praise. We ordered the snacks and bread to go along with the tasting menu. The snack bites started the food journey on the right food. My dining partner and I bother ordered the bread, and we probably could have gotten away with just one order. Every dish that we ordered from the tasting menu qas perfection. Standouts were the venison tartar, trout, chicken and short rib. I went here on Saturday January 16th for a celebration of life memorial service for my best friend. It's a very small place, very clean and nice located in a residential quaint neighborhood. The prices for drinks are very reasonable. I would recommend going here and will be going back.“

“Great pinball bar!! The selection of pinball games is excellent. Bartender was a little to boisterous, but still nice. We went on a Saturday night, it was dead... let me tell you why. Karaoke, and it was HORRIBLE. Not that having karaoke is horrible, it's the few people that were there that couldn't sing. You could tell it was a few regulars and that's what is keeping more people from coming. We left because it was so bad. Will definitely be back though when no karaoke is going on“

In discussing further of no tip, she advised me not to come back in if I’m not playing the music that makes HER happy if not expecting for it to be turned off or for anger to go to other patrons which made me feel discriminated and responsible for others bad times. In drinking my drink in an almost empty bar, NOW, I’m taking seats up and mich as before amassing people around her to bully. This isn’t right and MEG SHOULD BE FIRED but at the very least a case is coming as she informed me her and the owner talk often and hertreatment is of the bar. As Meg stated if I want different treatment don’t come on her shift vs trying to make things right. My biggest fear is retaliation for speaking out CONTINUALLY on the same issue and we are still here and I AM BANNNED. So another reason this is public bc of the fear she put in me that her and the owner are so close that my claims will mean nothing!“
