“Authentic decor...right down to the kerosene lanterns on the tables. Why? Because there are no lights in that dining room. It reminded me of a pub I visited in the UK.
For starters, we tried their Egg Rolls; which are stuffed with corned beef and coleslaw. Scotch Eggs...my first time ever trying them. Very good. Fried pickles...I mean; why not? Also, very good.
Our entrees were chicken-fried-chicken with garlic mashed potatoes. Very tender and juicy. I got traditional fish n chips. Cod fillets tender and crunchy. Put some malt vinegar on it all and it will take you to the top.
Dessert consisted of a slice of their carrot cake. A must have after a good meal like that.“

“June and Aree are our "go-to" caterers for all of our events over the past two years. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, and they are just such nice people. They have always made our receptions wonderful. I highly recommend them. They have multiple food options, but we prefer their Thai food catering.“

“Very friendly staff and the BEST food we have had! The Honey Chicken was literally to die for, perfectly done.My husband had the Salmon which he orders about every where we go and said it was perfect! B I L had the Mac and cheese with short rib he said he gets that every time because it’s so good. S I L had the pork chop and the same as above. I can’t forget to mention the shrooms Delish! Can’t wait to go back and enjoy their outside dining and bar, it looked amazing even snow covered! Thank you Jason! Our family get together now has a new go to ❤️👍“

“Having been stationed here 25 years ago as a 95C in the old DB, South Gate was a place I frequented. Now that they turned the old visitation room into a diner I had to check it out! Was not disappointed, the food was pretty good. Limited menu was still pretty appealing.“

“The waitress was friendly and attentive. Service was fast and the food was good. What impressed us the most was the cleanliness of the restaurant. My husband worked as a service technician for 35 years repairing restaurant equipment. He said this was the cleanest Waffle House he had ever been in. Our only complaint is that there was cold air blowing on us as we were eating, making our food cold. (It was cold outside.)“

“What a great place especially if you like sports. Went to check out a wedding venue and found this place afterwards. Had a little wait as it gets pretty busy. Waitress was great. We tried some appetizers and they were all yummy. I liked the wings and kegs the best. My Roast Beef plate was so good. Pile it on Garlic toast .. The mash potatoes and brown gravy and green beans were so good. Everyone loved what they got.. Can't wait to return.“

“My friends and I came into Weston, Missouri for a Roaring 20's murder mystery on 11/24/23. Before that; however, we decided to book a reservation at Avalon Cafe. From the appetizer to the dessert, I can say that I left with quite a wonderful impression of this place. The staff is far above amazing, as they were bright, cheerful, kind, and much more that I can describe. I hope to be celebrating big events here from here on out. Anywhere from my yearly wedding anniversary, to special nights out with friends, and many other occasions. As this has now become my most favorite and cherished restaurant. Thank you Avalon Cafe staff for making my experience the best one I've ever had.“
