“We had a wonderful experience here! The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. There’s lovely seating both inside and outside, perfect for any weather. The food was absolutely delicious — we had the burger and steak, while the kids enjoyed fried chicken with chips. Everything had that warm, homemade taste that made it feel extra special. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a touch of historic charm in the surroundings.
After dinner, we headed downstairs to the pub, walked through a little tunnel, and discovered a fantastic live Irish music session. A truly memorable evening — great food, great people, and great vibes. Highly recommended!“

“June and Aree are our "go-to" caterers for all of our events over the past two years. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, and they are just such nice people. They have always made our receptions wonderful. I highly recommend them. They have multiple food options, but we prefer their Thai food catering.“

“Having been stationed here 25 years ago as a 95C in the old DB, South Gate was a place I frequented. Now that they turned the old visitation room into a diner I had to check it out! Was not disappointed, the food was pretty good. Limited menu was still pretty appealing.“

“The food is excellent! You have to get a pretzel or house made chips w/ranch with your meal!! The bartender Leslie makes fun drinks (alcohol AND non-alcohol). Definitely worth stopping by. Especially on game day! They have a free raffle with really cool (not cheap) prizes!! Go chiefs!!“

“My friends and I came into Weston, Missouri for a Roaring 20's murder mystery on 11/24/23. Before that; however, we decided to book a reservation at Avalon Cafe. From the appetizer to the dessert, I can say that I left with quite a wonderful impression of this place. The staff is far above amazing, as they were bright, cheerful, kind, and much more that I can describe. I hope to be celebrating big events here from here on out. Anywhere from my yearly wedding anniversary, to special nights out with friends, and many other occasions. As this has now become my most favorite and cherished restaurant. Thank you Avalon Cafe staff for making my experience the best one I've ever had.“
