“I had heard that the mermaid cafe was a nice little restaurant for the Lake Caroline neighborhood where you could get a nice hamburger. I was pleasantly surprised at my culinary experience. I had some of the best red fish that I have ever had and my friend said the same about the fillet. The only thing that exceeded the food was the courtesy from the staff. Highly recommend it“

“Wes and I visit Georgia Blue often. Our doctor’s offices are right by it so it’s convenient for us. We’ve met some special friends there throughout the years. We’ve had just about everything on the menu. Our favorites are Wings, Duck Wontons, Nachos, Turnip Green Bites, fried pickles with sweet chili and blue cheese for dipping(blue cheese for everything lol), crab claws, dynamite shrimp, fried crawfish tails, chicken tenders, the house salad with Jenn’s Vin, the burgers and many more. The service is always great and the cocktails are wonderful. The shrimp tacos are one of our favorites. They’re spicy but so good(pictured).“

“My parents, husband and myself stopped in for breakfast. We had a terrific experience. The coffee was delicious and piping hot. The biscuits were huge and quite popular at our table. We as good southern cooks can make a biscuit to be proud of and these impressed us. The scrambled eggs were perfectly fluffy and not dry. The grits were creamy and delicious. Our service was wonderful as well. A great place to eat a yummy breakfast with the people you love!“

“My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch and we had Steven who has to be the best employee person in the building. His service and communication is off the charts. We didn’t mind waiting for our food which did take a while to come out to say it was slow but he kept us updated. I highly recommend him“

The food is delicious every single time but the service is often very slow especially if you sit outside.I wouldn’t recommend sitting outside because there is a sewer issue in a nearby ditch that smells terrible. It definitely turns into a party spot at night and especially on the weekends.“

I started with a cup of soup of the day, had the roasted chicken with lemon potatoes as entree, and finished with a slice of lemoncello cake with coffee. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 30 yrs. Dined all of this wonderful country. Yia Yai’s has become one of my top 5 places to dine. Service is impeccable and the cuisine is so authentic and on point. “Went here for the first time today. It’s very common to find restaurants that are aesthetically pleasing; however, it’s rare to find one that also has good food and this place definitely has both. As soon as you walk in it’s so cute, the staff is very sweet and the place is very clean. The menu has a lot of options for meat and non meat eaters. If you don’t like raw fish, you’re good, they have plenty of cooked options too. Everything was seasoned perfectly and fresh. 1000/10 would recommend and I will be coming back!❤️“

Service was quick and friendly (our kids were actually happy, which says a lot). The outdoor seating has TVs for the games, so it’s basically the ideal low-stress dinner spot for parents trying to survive the weekend.

It’s a little pricey for what it is, but you can taste the quality. Worth it when you want that “we’re not cooking tonight” kind of night.“

The price was reasonable — about $45 for two appetizers, one soft drink, two generous meal plates including rice and vegetables, one Turkish coffee, and two baklavas. Very good value! I was greeted promptly and offered a seat at the bar, and while I didn't order any special drinks, the bartender was very nice and made sure I had enough water to drink.

“Been meaning to try this place for a long time now and finally did today. Im so glad we did, the food was amazing! Much more authentic than alot of other Thai places we’ve tried. Everything we tried was great. Can not wait to go back and try some other stuff, everything sounded so good it was hard to make a choice. Now beware if ur nota big fan of spicey make sure u go mild or medium, I LOVE super spicey and almost go the Lao hot level, the waitress was surprised and said ARE YOU SURE?! Haha so i decided to take it down a level to Thai hot. Im glad i did because even the thai hot was spicier than any other thai places ive tried. And she said that Lao hot is at least 2xs hotter 🥵🔥 i cant even imagine how hot that woulda been. Thai hot was plenty spicey for even me. It’s a litter pricey but in my opinion it is well worth it with hoe great the food was. Definitely will be going back, may just be my new favorite!“
