“I had heard that the mermaid cafe was a nice little restaurant for the Lake Caroline neighborhood where you could get a nice hamburger. I was pleasantly surprised at my culinary experience. I had some of the best red fish that I have ever had and my friend said the same about the fillet. The only thing that exceeded the food was the courtesy from the staff. Highly recommend it“

I’ve had it with shrimp and also the combo, and every single time it has been nothing short of phenomenal. “Wes and I visit Georgia Blue often. Our doctor’s offices are right by it so it’s convenient for us. We’ve met some special friends there throughout the years. We’ve had just about everything on the menu. Our favorites are Wings, Duck Wontons, Nachos, Turnip Green Bites, fried pickles with sweet chili and blue cheese for dipping(blue cheese for everything lol), crab claws, dynamite shrimp, fried crawfish tails, chicken tenders, the house salad with Jenn’s Vin, the burgers and many more. The service is always great and the cocktails are wonderful. The shrimp tacos are one of our favorites. They’re spicy but so good(pictured).“

“Came in for lunch. Was seat immediately and asked for beverage choice and given the options verbally. Which I like. My drink was given to me within 20 seconds of me being seated. I ordered the sushi & tempura lunch combo and a sweet tea. The food came out very fast and was cooked and presented very well.“

“My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch and we had Steven who has to be the best employee person in the building. His service and communication is off the charts. We didn’t mind waiting for our food which did take a while to come out to say it was slow but he kept us updated. I highly recommend him“

The food is delicious every single time but the service is often very slow especially if you sit outside.I wouldn’t recommend sitting outside because there is a sewer issue in a nearby ditch that smells terrible. It definitely turns into a party spot at night and especially on the weekends.“

“The restaurant is very cozy. Yia Yia and Papou always come out of the kitchen and greet their guests. They truly treat you like family. I came alone today. Usually come here with my husband. I started with a cup of soup of the day, had the roasted chicken with lemon potatoes as entree, and finished with a slice of lemoncello cake with coffee. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 30 yrs. Dined all of this wonderful country. Yia Yai’s has become one of my top 5 places to dine. Service is impeccable and the cuisine is so authentic and on point. It’s cold outside so it was a hard decision to make over choosing the roasted chicken or the Moussaka that has a hint of cinnamon in the sauce. Sat in the back booth and throughly enjoyed my lunch. “Went here for the first time today. It’s very common to find restaurants that are aesthetically pleasing; however, it’s rare to find one that also has good food and this place definitely has both. As soon as you walk in it’s so cute, the staff is very sweet and the place is very clean. The menu has a lot of options for meat and non meat eaters. If you don’t like raw fish, you’re good, they have plenty of cooked options too. Everything was seasoned perfectly and fresh. 1000/10 would recommend and I will be coming back!❤️“

Jawon at the Ridgeland location recently waited our table and did an exceptional job with providing good recommendations and sharing his great personality. The Chicken Parm is always my go to, and they also provide a great drink menu. We are big fans of the Amerigo's chain and hope that it continues to uphold to the standards it has set! Great work.“

Service was quick and friendly (our kids were actually happy, which says a lot). The outdoor seating has TVs for the games, so it’s basically the ideal low-stress dinner spot for parents trying to survive the weekend.

It’s a little pricey for what it is, but you can taste the quality. Worth it when you want that “we’re not cooking tonight” kind of night.“

The price was reasonable — about $45 for two appetizers, one soft drink, two generous meal plates including rice and vegetables, one Turkish coffee, and two baklavas. Very good value! I was greeted promptly and offered a seat at the bar, and while I didn't order any special drinks, the bartender was very nice and made sure I had enough water to drink.
