“Rolling Thunder was chosen for my granddaughter’s wedding reception on June 22, 2024. I have to admit I was skeptical when I first heard we were having a “food truck” cater her wedding reception. I couldn’t have been more wrong! The food was absolutely amazing and Adam was heaven to work with, even finding room in his refrigerator and freezer for some unexpected chilling we needed to do. If he could come to California, I would be hiring him repeatedly throughout the year. If you are in southern Oregon, so yourself a favor and give Adam a call for your next event! “Waited a very long time to place our order while the person behind the counter packaged up to go orders with her back to us. When she finally took our order it felt like we were inconveniencing her by placing the orders. She took the first person's order then I had to interrupt her ringing it up to tell her I also wanted to order, then again to tell her I wanted a drink. It was clear we who were physically present at the counter were interrupting her other work.“

“Hi I am the general manager whom this young lady is speaking on. I would like to first began by saying I am food safety certified and is very aware of cross contamination. I can't believe if this was the case why didn't you just say sir are you going to change your gloves? I am very professional and it is my desire to serve the public safe food. I am a little disturbed that someone would take a shoe tie this far. We always use tongs when handling food and change gloves regularly when handling raw food in the back kitchen. “There fish are usually cooked and tastes delicious. The last two times I had it , it was not so good. The fish tasted fishy I don’t know where they getting the fish from now but it not good. I usually eat fish from them every Friday. I had big bones buffalo 3 weeks ago and last I had catfish steak and fillet. I just don’t buy 1 plate . I buy 3-4 plates. “Parking: Parking was can of a problem leaving, many people had came in with many others, so I couldn't get out the parking lot maybe 10 minutes or a lil less, no parking spaces, just parking on a lot so some people parked were they probably could not even knowing they may possibly be blocking others.“

“Heard very mixed reviews about this place but my daughter really wanted crab legs for her birthday. One waitress handled the entire restaurant with ease. She was personable and attentive. The food was the best boil I’ve had aside from what we get in Florida on the coast! Will definitely be back next time we are in the Memphis area“

“Easter Brunch was not quite as advertised. Blueberry bread for table was only one piece for two of us to share. We purchased mimosas, but complementary champagne was advertised. The brunch offerings were fair. Perhaps the price should be increased to offer a better brunch experience. We were considering attending the Mother's Day brunch before today's experience. Now we will need to think about it. Our server, Carleigh, was outstanding! She did everything she could to make our experience a pleasant one.“

Update Feb 2025: Chef Charles and Emily our server were absolutely so kindly accommodating about my food allergies and the food was the best it's ever been as was the service. Can't wait to go back to try more options.

Update June 2025: Unfortunately neither the service nor the food allergy accommodation was good. The server said he talked to the chef who said I could only eat one thing on the menu (the gnocchi) which was solidly average. Our server must have had way more than his share of tables. Everybody else in our group had delicious food options and enjoyed themselves so that was a good thing.“

“The salmon was amazing! My friend loved the black bean salsa that came with it. Green beans weren't as done as I prefer. Caesar salad was delicious (substituted for one side). My husband said the stuffed veal was a little tough though good flavor. Our server, Joy, was very polite and efficient. Overall a good dining experience for the money, especially if you take advantage of early bird menu, 4-6pm. Best to make a reservation.“

“We held our son’s rehearsal dinner here & every single thing was perfection! Not one complaint about the food, drinks, apps, desserts, or service. Pork chops, chicken Marsala, red fish, bread pudding (wow), key lime pie! Fantastic drink/ wine list. Jordyn will take care of you if you need to plan a party. She’s awesome! Great atmosphere, also. “Food here is always amazing. Owners and staff are also always amazing. I’ve often seen the owners at the counter taking orders and running food! The seasoning on most of the menu is called “Piri piri” seasoning. Which is Swahili for “pepper pepper” so its obviously slightly spicy. I saw a less than good review from a person saying they were upset the food was a little spicy. So if it says “piri piri” just know that there will be some kick. Give it a google guys. If you don’t want it just let them know! They can withhold the seasoning! Don’t leave bad reviews on good food because you didn’t research. it’s meant to be similar to other South African cuisine in the Memphis area (in my opinion) if you’ve been to bonefish or similar. But very healthy! Grilled fish, grilled chicken, and grilled veggies are the majority of the menu. I’ve seen lots of business lunches and body builders when I’ve been there for lunch or dinner. The appetizer called “humdinger shrimp” is to die for. It’s fried shrimp tossed in a spicy aoili served over (what I think) is an aisan slaw. It’s my favorite. If you’re not interested in any of that then I would suggest asking for maybe a blackened salmon or tilapia over a Caesar salad or even a blackened salmon or tilapia in a Caesar wrap. The vibe inside the restaurant is similar to an upscale Mcalisters. You order at the counter and you can watch the staff cook your food through the glass windows. You get a number for your table and when your food is ready they bring it out. There is a self service drink counter also and several dessert options. I recommend the strawberry cake ❤️“

“I had dinner here last night with my fiance. The food was great as always. The highlight was that our experience and time felt very personable from our waiter. We never got his name but we learned that he’s from California. He truly made our night because he was happy to be there and conversing with us.. very personable, kind, and just on top of everything. “They get 5 stars for serving chicharron (pork fat) tacos, which I love but don’t get at many places because it has to be cooked and seasoned well. If you want some different more complex flavor come here. Everything from their Al Pastor meat to their salsas are nothing like I’ve had at any other taqueria. The people were super nice and you can tell it’s a hidden gems. They give you 3 tortillas (fresh not homemade but fresh) and lots of meat.“

“In 2023, 2024 good food! The buffet is a good selection. Cabbage firm but not crunchy, hot wing, fried chicken wings, potatoes, teriyaki chicken is real good, other Asian dishes I don't know the names, but overall, good food to me! I'd recommend anyone try it out and it's easy on the wallet!“
