We shared the red Thai curry steamed PEI mussels - an interesting riff on the typical PEI mussels appetizer - though not as spicy as I had hoped - I'll ask about that next time. Modest wine list but we selected a cabernet we both enjoyed. Service was engaging and competent - all-in-all, a good meal and a good time.”

“We met a friend here on our way back from the midwest. This was our halfway point. The kitchen closed before we arrived, but the staff let my friend order before it closed so we could have a meal ready for us upon arrival. The staff was super friendly and made meal suggestions. The food was delicious!!! As were the drinks. The staff was so nice and accommodated all our needs. We tried appetizers, main dishes, and dessert as well. I wanted my belly to expand just so I could eat more. Loved the decor and atmosphere. Will come here again when passing through Nashville!!!”

“This has recently become one of my favorite plant based spots in Nashville after trying them at Hunters Station last weekend, then having my boyfriend go back later that night and the next day to grab us food. The fish sandwich tastes exactly like fish and the cheesy potatoes compliment it to well. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they open up on a more consistent basis but for now I’m ok with stalking their insta page to see where their going to be. 10/10”

“A trip back to the golden age of nightclubs. A real prohibition/film noir vibe. Top flight warm and friendly service from bar and waiting staff. Bar manager Rhys is right across the whole operation. Also really knowledgeable about the cultural history of the venue - which has been rocking it since 1948. Incredible music from sax player / Nat King Cole voiced Derek Williams, plus singers Laura Mayo and Dianne Sherrill fronting a superb jazz combo led by a highly charismatic pianist. The burlesque show is end to end class with elegance and humour balanced perfectly by co producers Jonny Gowow (musical director) and Tessa Mendoza (hostess / lead dancer). Food also of equally high standard. The prime rib is a near religious experience!”

“Quite simply, the best chicken I have ever eaten! I was visiting Nashville, and had to try hot chicken. I heard this place is top notch, so I waited in like like everyone else. The line moves quick, but expect to wait about 30-45 minutes. Let me tell you though, what a wait it was worth.I got the half birdy (which I recommend wholeheartedly) and it was phenomenal. So juicy and tender. The spice level was just right, snd the price was very fair. I’m already missing this place now that I am home.Job well done! Simply sensational and now I see what the hype was about!”

There’s not a chance you’ll find something better by the time you get to whatever back up restaurant you pick.Big Al’s Deli is small and feels like you’re with family the moment you step through the door. You’re greeted and treated like you just got home. The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is friendlier than you’ll find anywhere outside of grandma’s kitchen, and the food takes you to a different place and time where everything just feels right.Get the catfish. Listen to what the waitress suggests you try, and enjoy an experience unlike any other.”

“Was visiting a friend in Nashville who had this place on his list of must-try restaurants. I knew it had to be good. Counter service ordering is at the outside window. Lots of outdoor seating and a good amount of inside seating as well. Our tacos were delicious. I ordered the fried fish taco and the spicy carne (my personal fave from the experience). We stopped here for a quick casual dinner before other stops in the night and were not disappointed at all. Good price point, great eats, and easy to please even the picky eaters in our party.”

From crafted cocktails, crispy avocado rice, bacon wrapped dates, lamb that melted in your mouth, so much of the newly crafted autumn menu that we were able to enjoy, plus staff that made us feel like we were the most important people in the room (we are talking especially about you, Ally!). She had the Nachos which were piled high and she liked them. I ordered the vegan cheese plate to share and the seasonal pot pie. Noah was the chef that day and he put his foot in it on Friday! My friend had to thank him and let him know how well he did. The pot pie had sweet potatoes on it which I was not expecting because it was a little too sweet for me BUT I had leftovers and it tasted better the next day! Fury was our waitress and she was so fun and attentive! She was down for our respectful shenanigans. The place is casual and designed like most places modern causal places. Open, open bench sitting in one side and a chair on the other.”

“How adorable is a secret garden theme bar! We came here to celebrate my birthday with a group of 12 and it was excellent. The T&R team was so accommodating, our food was delicious (get the taco platter for a group!) and our drinks were fabulous. Kat, our server, took excellent care of us and had fantastic recommendations for everyone. We also tried the adorable Secret Garden specialty batch cocktail drink (basically a flower bouquet!!!) and it was tasty and so fun to share. I know the themes change every so often, but I can't wait to see what they'll do next up here. Would recommend for a fun celebration with a group, girls night or a romantic evening! We requested an indoor spot because it's still cool outside, but I wish it was a few weeks later because the outdoor patio looks so inviting! I think we'll have to come back!”

We had the chicken kadai, butter chicken, and the daal makhani (which if you've never had, do yourself a favor and get it from here!). The garlic naan was also great. My husband doesn’t even like sauce and he loved the sauce that came on it. The pickles were almost too close to the taste of cucumber (hate cucumber) but they were good too!The fries were okay. Nothing to write home about. Not sure why people like these pencil sized fries. The seasoning was okay as well. I like Zaxby’s fries better.The cheese curd appetizer was very good and the manager came to check on the taste of those. Forgot to take a pic of those because we were hungry.The burger meals were $15 each and appetizer was $11. Not terrible prices for these times.They allow dogs, it seems. So that is cool. The place was packed but we got seated pretty fast. It got even busier as we left. Overall, you must go in to try the burger or the onsite brewery (which I did not try, but not my thing to spend tons on beer).”

“We just returned from a fun long weekend in Nashville. Eating at Cafe Roze for dinner was our culinary high light. Their chili eggplant dish was unbelievable. What I wouldn’t do for that recipe…and the talent to prepare it to perfection. I wanted to continue vegetarian so I ordered the simple pasta - also done to perfection. Others at our table had the paprika chicken, wedge salad with salmon and vegetarian dinner bowl. All raved about their dish and ate every bite. This is a very special cafe. Small intimate and lovely - but the food is the star. The noise level was not crazy loud either which we appreciated. Best restaurant in Nashville by a mile.”

They put us in a room with 3 tables set up for 4 each and one real long table for about twenty, The table behind us was so loud as was their waiter, we couldn't carry on a conversation Our guests were people from outside America and we would have liked to have been able to enjoy a nice meal and conversation with them. When did Urban Grub become a zoo? I can't believe the little regard shown the 3 separate tables as looking at all of our faces the dining experience was totally unacceptable . Whoever arranged for small parties to be sharing space with an obnoxiously loud party needs more training. Our waiter was good only because neither of us could hear each other and had to continually repeat our request because he couldn't hear us. When he could hear us he was very attentive and an excellent server This experience should NEVER occur in a fine dining establishment as the Urban Grub is known for.UPDATE: Husband and I returned for my birthday as I trust the oysters being shipped almost daily to Urban Grub. We spoke with Jeremiah and he apologized profusely for the situation unfortunately exposed to on our last visit. He advised if we are ever unhappy with our dining experience there to let him and/or the hostess know immediately. This time around our experience was as it has been in the past...great. They were very attentive. It wasn’t particularly busy when we were there and Charlie and Bro could have easily been sitting down playing on their phones. Instead, they were cleaning. It was spic and span in the dining area!!! They were cleaning and changing out the bbq sauce bottles, wiping all of the tables, chairs, vacuuming a mopping the rugs, wiping off the chairs and booths. Really utilizing their down time. And that’s not very common to see these days, sadly. I had to brag on them in person, but also wanted to write a review also because many times the focus is always on the bad, so I am very happy to share a great review for a restaurant that was all around great today and especially to call out Charlie and Bri that were so hospitable and working so very hard! But on a serious note, I highly doubt that’s possible when you cross that threshold into Hugh’s world ?So let’s get into this food…now I very rarely get order remorse but my cousin ordered a chili dog that looked like something straight out of a 1990s backyard bbq fever dream. I must’ve been staring a tad too hard because giant glob of chili was just hanging on the precipice of her bun and my reaction was akin to trying to stop an inevitable head on collision.Luckily my number was called shortly afterwards so I could prepare for my own personal bliss. Of course I had to get another “Barnyard” special (chicken sandwich w/ beef patty + bacon) Now I’ve had a barnyard from every location but this location has the recipe DOWN!! See, the Barnyard will put you in the dirt if you’re not careful. It’s a lot if you’re not used to taking on the whole farm in one go, so I’d suggest just cutting it down the middle and saving the rest for later. But I’m convinced the crew here might be part Incredible Hulk, because they smashed that patty with the a level of perfection that both retained the juiciness of the beef yet not overshadowing the chicken. Although the same amount of meat as usual, the meticulous mashing made for a slightly less intimidating meal and I finished the whole thing and didn’t feel overly stuffed afterwards…I mean I’m still awake enough to write this review so that says a lot.The chicken was seasoned to perfection…like I could have legit just eaten the chicken alone. I mean no condiments, no bun, No Nothin’ just chicken. And I know that’s grammatically incorrect but this level of flavor kinda knocks the sense right out of you.I hardly make it to that side of town often but please believe, I just found the perfect excuse!! “This place is so nice. We got here around 9pm but stayed until the closed. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and the Miso eggs and they were both delicious. We talked to the bartender Brandon and the server Peter. We had a nice chat about small town living and moving to the big city. Even though he has people at the bar he made the experience so personal. At the end of the night we meet the cook (who made the eggs) Devon and told him how amazing the eggs were. The drinks were beautifully made and would recommend the Crocodile tears and the Southern gothic. Both strong drinks but beautiful balance and great body.”

“We just returned from a fun long weekend in Nashville. Eating at Cafe Roze for dinner was our culinary high light. Their chili eggplant dish was unbelievable. What I wouldn’t do for that recipe…and the talent to prepare it to perfection. I wanted to continue vegetarian so I ordered the simple pasta - also done to perfection. Others at our table had the paprika chicken, wedge salad with salmon and vegetarian dinner bowl. All raved about their dish and ate every bite. This is a very special cafe. Small intimate and lovely - but the food is the star. The noise level was not crazy loud either which we appreciated. Best restaurant in Nashville by a mile.”

“Husband and I did bar dining on a Sunday with 815 reservations, great staff to patron ratio and we never were waiting on anything or felt like we were being ignored. Complementary valet with the hotel is included, I could see how if it were a busier evening or you did the prefixe dinner how you can go over that time and possibly end up paying, but we did not have an issue. Mushroom soup to start with was absolutely delicious and beautiful presentation. Husband had tile fish entrée and I had pork medallions which were both definitely tasty, but both a little over salted and the spice rub on the outside of the pork was a little over powering, but still a tasty flavor. Very delicious whiskey sour and Manhattan cocktails. No dress code is enforced but everyone seemed to have business casual/cocktail attire on, but there was only about eight other people in the restaurant. Saw several people around us getting oysters and caviar, so definitely would go here if that is your thing”

“I may have had the best meal of my 55-year life! I had the scallops (off-menu special) and my husband had the pork chops. What an amazing explosion of flavors in both dishes! Lobster bisque was subtle (not too salty) and rich - so good! And the service was off the charts fantastic! Props to Max and Andrew! Delicious wines and great live music, which wasn't too loud. We could still talk easily. The only cons were the Brussels sprouts, which are brought out as a complementary extra, but they were just steamed and lightly seasoned. I like Brussels sprouts, but these were simply not great (like why bother?). And the seating was not super comfortable. Bench seat was hard - per my husband - and my chair was really low and the table had a large pedestal bottom, so between those two and my long legs, I had to sit sideways. But it won't stop us from coming back. The restaurant itself is beautiful! Excellent meal and lovely evening!”

“As one would expect, Martin's feature a number of smoked meats. This being true barbeque, pulled pork is featured, but they also have turkey, chicken, fried catfish, and chopped brisket along with a number of freshly prepared sides. They've likewise appropriately taken a stand an have a single sauce at the tables. It's a vinegar based sauce, as God intended, but heavy on the sugar, which is unique to middle Tennessee as far as I know (vinegar based sans sugar being a low country South and North Carolina thing). It's very good, of a little different. They do have ketchup, but it's clearly for the fries, not the meat. Atmosphere is great, with a lot of areas to explore. We actually were there during the eclipse, which was cool, too.”

The rabbit rolls are incredible. Really any of their bread is a must order. The cherry glazed tuna was a stat in itself. We complimented it with the spiced tomato polenta which was very nice.For our mains, we had the half roast chicken and the ribeye. The chicken is one you’d ask for as your last meal. Tommy’s attention to detail is incredible. He was not happy with our steak and had it redone. It gave us more time with the chicken and the steak was worth the wait. The flavor the wood fire gives it is one of the best flavors ever. If you haven’t been here you need to try it for date night.Bonus: the live music is very good and not an intrusion to your dinner experience.”

I had breakfast and given that I’m a foodie and I make a really incredible breakfast, I would eat here seven days a week; the staff is lovely and the food is sublime - make a reservation or you’re not going to get in. I have seen that line 60 deep and that’s no exaggeration. I have never seen a new restaurant get such a huge following in such a short period of time - if you have a reservation, make sure you arrive early because parking around there can be very difficult and challenging and if you’re coming from a hotel just Uber instead of driving your car, this restaurant is utterly outstanding”

A lot of times, I like to help myself when wait staff is busy. You order at the counter when you come in. You're given an order number for your table and your glass for your beverage. Find yourself a table and your food is brought to you and you help yourself to your beverage. I haven't ordered anything from the bar, so I can't help there.”

Eric helped create a drink catered to my taste preferences which was impressive seeing that this bar did not have a menu for cocktails but had their employees asked what your drink preferences were instead and made a cocktail based on what you liked which I thought was so cool! Very memorable and Eric also gave me some great suggestions on what to do as a tourist visiting the city. The experience overall felt very personable and inclusive. I will most definitely be back here the next time I visit Nashville.”

The chips and green salsa are very tasty. Order the house made green hot sauce. It seems to be a Jalapeño Avocado sauce and is fabulous as an accompaniment to anything on the menu. The regular guacamole is kind of a miss as it lacks zest. Needs salt and lime. The second visit was this last week. I ordered beef fajitas which were perfectly tender and tasty, served with a ramekin of butter to pour over the entire sizzling platter. Absolutely wonderful. The house made flour tortillas were perfect. One knock on the place. The service... Oh MY !!! All 3 servers were parked at the end of the bar with their faces buried in their smart phones. Each of the 3 servers were oblivious to the floor. None were scanning the dining room to see if any of their guests needed anything at all. I could only get the lady to return to my table after trying in vain to get anyone's attention, when the cook came out of the kitchen to go to the bathroom, HE saw me waving and told them that I evidently wanted something. The boss needs to know this so the boss can straighten this out immediately. I will visit again, but if this disengaged service happens again, it will be my last visit. Five stars for food, 2 stars for aloof service. The servers can easily do better if they just simply pay attention. When we left, one of the male waiters was standing at the host stand clearly playing a video game on his phone. Nope.”

NOT because the food wasn’t good or because service was bad, but it’s just… $$$ WAY TOO PRICEY! $$$… For example, my last visit, party of 4, nearly paid $100!* Ordered a soda, received a 12oz can, NO free refill = $2I can literally go to walmart, which is the across the street & purchase a 2L bottle for that price.I did however see a soda fountain machine, not sure why they gave us cans. Maybe the machine was new & not set up yet or broken or something else, I don’t know.* Juice drinks $7* (solo) Wrap $11/$12. To add fries/drinks it’s $6, which is no different from if I were to purchase them separately. Aren’t combos suppose to be cheaper?* Specialty Plates, depending on the plate, it’s $19/$22/$25. NO salad or soup or drink included. Adding them can make the price sky rocket to almost $30/$35.* Bowl $16/$17, NO drink- There’s NO combo price offerings. Everything is sold separately, which just adds on to the price you have to already pay.My suggestion is to make combo offerings for ALL meal options.Wrap Combo = Wrap, Fries, & DrinkPlate Combo = Plate, Soup or Salad, & drinkBowl Combo = bowl, & drink”

Ornbread out of curiosity, and it was deeeelicious!!!... .I Ordered from the doordash app, but actually went for pickup. I just scanned the QR code once entering the building and it will tell you what Locker to pick your food. The app was very much so accurate on times.”
“My food was hot and ready when I arrived for pick up. We ordered the pepperoni magnifico, the Works magnifico style, and wings. Wings had no seasoning but a nice size and fresh. Pizzas had plenty of toppings and were good. Great Job Marco's. Also the Young Lady was there by herself and still did a great job.”
“A trip back to the golden age of nightclubs. A real prohibition/film noir vibe. Top flight warm and friendly service from bar and waiting staff. Bar manager Rhys is right across the whole operation. Also really knowledgeable about the cultural history of the venue - which has been rocking it since 1948. Incredible music from sax player / Nat King Cole voiced Derek Williams, plus singers Laura Mayo and Dianne Sherrill fronting a superb jazz combo led by a highly charismatic pianist. The burlesque show is end to end class with elegance and humour balanced perfectly by co producers Jonny Gowow (musical director) and Tessa Mendoza (hostess / lead dancer). Food also of equally high standard. The prime rib is a near religious experience!”
