“The Bean Flower is hands down the best boba shop in the triangle, and I love putting money in the pocket for a born and bred Durham biz owner- a real person not a corporation. CC and her team worked really hard on this menu, and it shows. The specials are really unique and delicious (chai nog, corn milk, and the malted orange hot chocolate have been standouts). But the main reason I go is for the chai. It's really authentic, sweet, spicy, and delicious.

I can tell that CC and her team are genuinely community driven and I'm so glad we have this spot in Durham.“

“I love Boxcar! It’s such a fun night out. They have a great selection of drinks and games and the outdoor seating is expansive when it is nice outside. They sometimes have live entertainment too - accidentally showed up during a drag show which was a fun surprise! One of the Guitar Hero guitars doesn’t really work well though… so might want to put up a sign so people don’t get frustrated 😅“

“A true rock club. What a great venue! Having grown up in the DC/metro Maryland area and having been a regular at The Black Cat, 9:30 Club, 8x10 and Ottobar - this place gets it! Its a perfect combination of dark, raw with an amazing sound system and the perfect size. Cool layout with the ability to get out of the performance area and into a more casual space if you need to. The service is consistently great, with all the beer tenders serving with a personable touch. I also love the glass jug for group and work events since you can easily rent the atrium space out. I found my community here through run club on Tuesdays, Trivia on Wednesdays, and many other events.“

The food was delicious (even thought they had run out of the rice and beans we were excited to try - just a great reason to go back!) The man behind the counter was incredibly kind and apologetic. He told me about a few other options and mentioned there was one sandwich left in the case. I grabbed it—and it was excellent!

I wish I had asked his name. He had brown hair and a beard and was wearing a green and black shirt. Whoever he is, he was absolutely the best. Customer service like that really makes a difference.

“Let me tell you chef ??!!!!! My daughter was there about 2 weeks ago for a college tour. She came home telling us about Vittles at the Park. She is a picky eater and she talked about was the Cajun Catfish. Here we are 2 wks latter, with other family members and we all were thoroughly pleased with those at the front counter to everything we ate. I had the flounder combo with 2 sides (collards and candied yams). I opened up my dinner and I know I wasn’t going to finish it all because there were 3 nice size pieces of fish. I started eating before you know it all was gone. That’s how good the food was. When we’re back in town we will definitely be back & we have more family members accompanying us as well.“
