We had a 6:30 reservation and the server was kind enough to tell they were running out of Oyster and a main course dish which I thought was strange since the restaurant was just starting to get busy. We had four people, and all had appetizers and a main course. Three of us ordered their Lamb Chops that were severed almost the way we order them in terms of temperature. Three of us switches a vegetable that went with the Lamb main course. There was a $3.50 substitution charge for each. I ordered the Raw Oysters, which was $18, there were very fresh but only came with a small paper thimble of ketchup not a homemade sauce or fresh horseradish, and no oyster crackers. I asked for horseradish and some crackers, and they charged us $1.50 for extra crackers. Our bill before server tip was $300. You would think they would not nickel and dime us for changing a vegetable or crackers. Not a good policy. By the way this is a very small restaurant that is very noisy.“

I thought the sesame chicken and the garlic chicken were both really good. The pork lo mein was a really healthy amount of shredded pork in it. Can't remember the last time I was impressed with pork lo mein.“

“Specials were listed at front window. I tried the enchilada suizas-really tasty. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. The food was all very good and the drinks were refilled without direction. My waiter was great. The robot was fun and the service was speedy.“

“We have been wanting to visit The Blind Pelican for a while, and finally took the plunge for my husband’s birthday. This trip will absolutely not be our last. The place was packed on a Tuesday night (it’s not a huge space, especially in the winter when outside seating isn’t available, so plan accordingly). Our wait time was exactly what the hostess promised, and service was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. All staff were phenomenal and checked on us while we were waiting as well as once we were seated. The staff aren’t overly attentive, which we love (they checked on us enough to be helpful but otherwise just let us enjoy our meal). We obviously HAD to try the crazy fun bloody mary’s. They were delicious - exceptional bloody mary’s, and all of the food on top was perfectly cooked and a joy to eat. I had the Taco Tuesday special - lobster tacos with a mango salsa that made me do a happy dance, and my husband had the steak and scallops. Everything was so good and worth the price, in my opinion. Quality seafood can be pricey in central NC, but worth it! The bloody mary’s are obviously a novelty item - but the quality was so outstanding that I would actually order one again (which is saying a lot as I figured it would be a one and done). I can’t wait to go back and try all of the other items on their menu - including some fun drinks & apps we didn’t have room to try this time. If you’re on the fence, just go! You will be glad you did!“

“We are in town for my sons baseball tournament and this is the first place we stopped to eat. When I tell you it was some of the BEST food we’ve ever had! We had Jerk shrimp, whiting, catfish, jumbo shrimp, fried okra, mac and cheese that tasted just like your Mamas ❤️ The best two things were the collard greens and the honey cornbread! The cornbread melts in your MOUTH. Service was great as well!“

“I have visited this restaurant probably about 10 times and not once have I ever got a bad experience. The service has always been welcoming and hospitable, plus there large selection in meat and even appetizers. I find the portions to be just the right amount so you can allow your stomach to experience the different food without having to call quits after 3 dishes. This place is certainly a hidden gem in the Cary area and I recommend to come here with friends or even by yourself!“

Dishes that can be spicy are typically spicy without having to ask. They use real peppers and are not shy. Service is fast and professional.“

“I forgot I had been here about four years ago until I walked in. Got the half chicken, black beans and rice, rice, plantains. Portions were quite large and the sauces were great. It takes a little while to prepare so not really a place to go if you're in a hurry but the lady working there was great and everything tasted as good as I remembered it. Also if you've never had Inca Cola they sell it, you should give it a try. Used to only be able to get it in Peru.“

“They literally made this one of the most special birthday’s ever for my boyfriend!!! Best service, best food, best table in the house!! It was absolutely amazing! We walked in and they delivered his favorite drink to him like requested. The raw oyster appetizer was incredible, calamari was fresh and delicious, crab dip was super (and we’re from Maryland and are picky with crab ? dip). The steaks were cooked perfectly (Pittsburgh style, medium rare) and the dessert was incredible! Cannot thank the team enough!!“
