“The Grateful Table is a great example of how the Town of Canton is recovering from the storms and the Mill closure. I work on a project to establish a new nonprofit business here, and our board of directors loves holding our weekly meetings at the Grateful Table. It usually bustles with customers from all walks of life in Canton including parents, artists, and other entrepreneurs. This is the best place in Canton to meet wonderful people!”

“I usually order to go when I am too lazy to make a home-cooked meal. The food is good, generous, and well worth the price. I like different restaurants for different reasons. This falls into my "guilty pleasures/greasy spoon" category of restaurant, not because its a dive but because it is simple, decent, southern comfort style food. Don't go for Michelin Star or for fusion foods, but when you want something comforting like grandma would have made it. I give it a 5 star rating not just for its food, but the heart and spirit of the owners and employees. I have seen from behind the scenes, more than once, how this restaurant helps people and the community-for example with food for flood victims and fundraisers for local schools. Their compassion alone makes it a business worth supporting, the tasty fried country steaks, okra, rolls and desert are just the icing on the cake.”

“Been seeing this place grow from food trailer to brick and motar , saw how he stepped up and helped the community when Helen hit , I am a lover of bbq and travel for it I saw this place on Facebook several years ago ,i drove up from South Carolina to try the bbq and Brisket , both was fantastic and the Mustard bbq sauce suprised me how good it was , I highly recommend this place the restaurant very clean and staff super friendly and helpful!”

“Food cook exactly the way it should be. Great service. ALL the staff were so pleasant and friendly. The banter back and forth between them was absolutely entertaining and made us smile. I have ate at multiple waffle houses in multiple states for years and this one is my favorite by far. A lot of the others act like you are an interruption in their day. No smiles no greetings and you constantly have to ask for refills. Not the case at the one in Canton. We will be stopping in there again on our travels through the state.”

“So happy I found papertown coffee. I am a huge coffee lover, was great! When I was heading home I grabbed a McDonald's coffee ended up pouring that out driving 15 min out of the way to go get 2 coffees for the ride home !!”

“Great taste, lots of flavors. I ordered the French Toast Shake and the Banana Peanut Butter flavor shake. Both are tasty. The Banana Peanut butter taste, however, did not have any peanut butter flavor to me. It tasted like banana ice cream. My husband really loved the French toast shake, although, it tasted more like cinnamon than anything else. I'm definitely going back. Also, they are nutritious!”

“Lengua and carnada were good. Best we've had so far in Haywood. Salsa was good with a little kick. Chicken enchiladas were good too. Margaritas were good, not too sweet from syrup. Our server was nice and running his but off. Overall good experience. Place was packed when we got there around 7:15 on a Tuesday.”

“Stopped here while traveling through the area. Tried the new barbecue brisket sandwich, and although it tasted good, whoever made it made a huge mess of it. My husband went inside to get it, and carried it outside in the bag, and when I opened the box, there was barbecue sauce all over the inside of the box which made the bun a sticky mess. Also, the fried onions were mainly in the box instead of on the sandwich. The potato cakes were nice and hot and fresh, so that helped a bit. The sandwich tasted fine, but was very hard to eat because it was such a mess.”

I was very impressed with the Dinner. Very tasty and fresh, lots of shrimp, and they gave More than adequate shrimp sauce for my
Entrée.
