If you're looking for quiet, request the side room - with limited tables of 2/4, you can avoid noisier larger groups. The filet medallions were perfect and do not resist the apple pie with cinnamon ice cream!“

“The Ugly isn't ugly, it's quite beautiful.

This is a neat bar near the tracks & Chamber by Wooden Robot. If you aren't looking for it, it's actually quite easy to miss.

Inside, there's old time bar mirrors & decor which fit the bar perfectly. The bartenders are quick & do a solid job.

There's option of different types of ugly cocktails but let's be honest, the $2 Narragansett is the best deal in Charlotte. The cocktails are affordable for Charlotte which gives them an edge over many other options nearby.

I'd recommend coming down, getting a gansett & a shot, & enjoy your time chatting with the locals.

“I had quite a spectacular time here at Eddie V's! I am give the place a solid 5 stars because of the excellent service, food, and atmosphere. The Bone-In Strip steak I had at Eddie V's was better than any of the steaks I had at Steak 48, Oak, or Capital Grille. I was impressed as they got it perfect to Medium-Rare, whereas the steak I had at Capital Grille was overcooked. The flavor was phenomenal and I never enjoyed a steak this much.

The only reason I am downgrading the food is the sides. I was not a fan of the Truffle Mac & Cheese which was watery/soupy and appeared that they didn't properly thicken the cream sauce. The Brussel Sprouts were pretty good but not really anything more exceptional than other Brussel Sprouts I have had. They do give you a lot but nothing is cheap at this restaurant. My steak was an exceptional deal though, as the same steak would cost more at Steak 48. The Lobster Bisque soup I did think was good and had some actually lobster pieces in it unlike the one I had at Capital Grille.

My Smoked Old Fashioned was really good and at $21 was not a bad deal considering they use Basil Haydn. In contrast to Whiskey cocktails I had at Steak 48, this restaurant has much higher quality cocktails and does drinks other steakhouses won't do.

I really loved the jazz music! My only complaint is that the band and their drum set is way too close to the bar so it makes it really hard to talk or hear. I guess that is just a limitation of the location and it would not stop me from going back on to enjoy the music although I may sit on the other side of the bar away from the band. They also have a dance floor and the place can get a bit lively on a weekend.

If you are looking for a fun and lively experience with fine dining I definitely would advise checking out Eddie V's. I have yet to try their seafood and maybe some of their other sides like the Poached Lobster mashed potatoes would be better, so I will look forward to coming back again and trying different things.“

Peoffesional and communicative. They open qr 7 am to unload. We had a 7 am appointment and came early. They took about 45 minutes to clean the dock and within a few minutes unloaded the few pallets we had.

“We went to Dressler’s tonight for my husband’s Birthday. We had never been but wanted to try it since we loved their old Dogwood concept. Michelle was our waitress and truly made the evening so special. She was so knowledgeable around the menu and so attentive and fun. The food was exceptional. I had the waygu flank special and he had the 16oz ribeye. The shrimp appetizer was a great way to start and the apple crisp was a perfect ending to the meal. We were so excited to see the manager from the old Dogwood concept working there. She is so great too. Thank you for having such an amazing space that can make nights so memorable.“

“I attended Danceteria on the first Friday. DJ EBONY played the best R&B and house music songs. We danced and sang to songs that are not really played alot in Charlotte. I loved the fact that there was not any trap and / or mumble music that sometimes brings an unfavorable crowd. This was strictly for the real grown and mature crowd. I wish the time slot was longer. The food and service was also good. I like how it's remodeled. The decor and technology is great.
However, I came there on Saturday night after a memorial service with friends and it was a totally different crowd and music. The smell of weed coming in the door from the patio was very strong on the inside. We all thought they were smoking inside ! Me, my in and out of town friends and family did not like that at all. We didn't stay long because of the weed smell. That brought down the quality in my opinion. Something should be done about that. Everyone doesn't want to be subjected to Marijuana smelling up the place !“
