“Well, always loved it, went all the time. Unfortunately pricing has turned it into a once in a while trip…. Geez. Pricing is nuts.“

“Hidden Gem! My waitress Niyah was amazing. Very professional and gave great entree recommendations. I ordered the choice cut Ribeye with mashed potatoes , sautéed mushrooms, bottle of wine and Apple pie with ice cream! Everything was delicious and I will visit again soon.“

“I celebrated my birthday at Carolinas oyster bar last night. The hostess advised a table for two wait time was about an hour. I said okay, she responded back do you want to be added to the wait list? I said okay. She said she didn’t know if I wanted to wait! As we waited we had drinks at the bar, the bartender made a strawberry lemon drop, the best! Calamari and oysters for appetizers. I also ordered a lobster and shrimp roll! It was so delicious second bite I had three pieces of a lobster shell! Anthony was our waiter, I called him over he was in shock and said let me get my manager. Manager came over, I showed him the three pieces of the shell. He said that’s a possibility when they take the lobster out of the shell. No apology was provided, no offer to compensate the experience I had. I didn’t request a manager the waiter thought his manager would resolve the matter. Even though the manager offered to get me something else. I was nervous to get another meal especially when I run a risk for this to happen again. He said happy birthday enjoy your night. The managers response lacked empathy, poor customer service, I don’t care you will not be the first or last customer that this will happen to. In the back of my mind I wondered if I was a different race besides black would his response be the same?! The food was a ten even though I wasn’t able to eat and enjoy the lobster roll.“

“The Ugly isn't ugly, it's quite beautiful.

This is a neat bar near the tracks & Chamber by Wooden Robot. If you aren't looking for it, it's actually quite easy to miss.

Inside, there's old time bar mirrors & decor which fit the bar perfectly. The bartenders are quick & do a solid job.

There's option of different types of ugly cocktails but let's be honest, the $2 Narragansett is the best deal in Charlotte. The cocktails are affordable for Charlotte which gives them an edge over many other options nearby.

I'd recommend coming down, getting a gansett & a shot, & enjoy your time chatting with the locals.

“Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Anju. We started with the seafood pancake which was actually more of a waffle. I prefer the traditional pancake but the waffle was good too. Next we split two entrees. We went with the bulgogi of course because it’s a classic. Also tried the spicy stir fried squid off the pop up menu. Loved this surf and turf combination. The cheesecake was the perfect ending. Great service too!“

“I went here with my lady and we got the specials as advertised online. The food is seasoned very well and it tastes great. With the crab legs cluster special specifically, you need to get at least 2 clusters for an adult to have a good amount. The clusters are small so if you want to get a good amount, you might need to ask the cashier about how many clusters come in a seafood platter vs. how much come with the special. The pictures do not give you a good visual. The special is a lot less than what’s expected.

Parking: The parking lot is small and filled with potholes. Be careful when entering.“

If you're looking for ambiance, decor, and the foo foo things THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE! If you're looking for good fried seafood (croaker, flounder, catfish, snapper?) and plenty and I mean PLENTY of it then this is your place.

The only thing I didn’t like was that all the lemonades were mixed with other flavors. I could not get just a plain lemonade. I tried the Purple Rain - tasted like lemonade/grape. I honestly did not like it. 8/10“

The grilled shrimp was great, drinks were cheap but delicious, but our server Jasmine was the highlight and the reason we will be coming back. We are of mature age so the crowd was different from we are used to, but Jasmine made us feel super comfortable and like we were the only people in the room. Top tier service, we will be back!“
