She also told us to go check out the antique horse drawn hearse in the funeral home. Will definitely be going back when we get the chance!”

“The Latin American Quetzal Restaurant is superior when it comes to serving red snapper! It was perfectly cooked in the Huachinango style (deep fried without a batter). It was served with rice, beans, avocado, cactus salad, pickled onions, jalapeno salsa, and lime. This was all served on two big platters. The red snapper was huge and it sat on a sizzling hot iron plate. I could not believe the quality and amount of food they served for only $23.99! They also make their own aqua frescas. I had a mix of their mango and passion fruit aqua frescas mixed together. It was delicious! I would also like to say that the service there was very good and attentive. There is no question that I will be coming back again!”

Was offered outdoor or bar seating, chose the bar, but was it wasn’t what I expected. Noticed most of the other people coming in had to sit at the bar also. On a good note the food was delicious! 🤤 Service was excellent as well. They had plenty of staff on hand.”

“The pho and Japanese items are excellent. The waitress overheard we were celebrating my wife’s birthday and brought out a huge neon happy birthday sign. At the end of the meal she brought an onion with a sparkler in it and sang happy birthday. I feel like she truly cared about making it special. We love the food and are so glad they’re in downtown Concord.”

“My Husband received a gift card for his birthday for Texas Roadhouse. Not a place we frequent, but it’s nice to mix it up now and then, right? Because we had the gift card, I signed up for their rewards and received a free appetizer coupon. The day we went (today) I received a promotional email that if you purchase a digital GC for $30+, you’ll receive a $5 bonus GC for free. So, we went with $60 in gift cards and a free appetizer coupon. We visited around 3:15pm, it was quite busy, hostess was propping the door open and taking names and phone numbers to add to the waitlist. Took our name and phone number, stated we’d receive a text message when we were up to be seated, and told us about 10 minutes or so, no problem. The couple in front of us was also waiting outside (over 90 degrees today), they received their text message and went inside. We sat outside for about 10 more minutes, seeing multiple people walking in and not coming back out (we were the only 2 people sitting outside still waiting). We went inside to see if there was any room to at least sit in the A/C, there was. Two sets of two people came in and were told to follow one of the hostess to a seat. Wait, what? They weren’t on the waitlist, I hadn’t received a text message, and they’re being seated from walking in after we had been waiting for about 20 minutes at this point. My Husband goes up to the hostess (there was 1 behind the counter) and about 4/5 standing around up front as well and stated that we’ve been on the waitlist for almost 20 minutes and people are being sat before us. She said she could seat us now. No apology for the inconvenience, but actually the opposite. The hostess behind the counter turned her head and either looked, mouthed, rolled her eyes… something to the other hostess because she smirked at her after she turned her head (the one who took my name and phone number) and off we went. On our way to the table the hostess had the audacity to ask how we were doing, yes the one that took my name and phone number. Luckily, my Husband was in front of me and said we were good. No we absolutely were not. Had she asked me, I would have told her how we were. Not good. You could at least sincerely apologize and I would have understood that things happen. So, why the heck am I still recommending this place? Charly. Our server Charly was absolutely top tier and saved the butts of her co-workers incompetency. She was friendly, attentive, and a great server! I had more Diet Coke on the table as soon as I was about to finish my first one… that is when you know you have a GREAT server (one of many reasons). So, thankfully Charly turned our experience from absolutely never coming back to we’d ask to be in her section again if we returned. All in all, hostess’ need more training on how to apologize when they make a mistake (and to not turn your head annoyed with your customers when YOU messed up), while Charly needs a promotion and a raise.”

“The Great Wolf Lodge Concord provides a fun, fabulous time for everyone! This Mimi of two received the request for a Howling birthday (turning 6) weekend after her sister’s Howling birthday (turned 8) weekend in August. The staff is friendly, professional, helpful, and ready to assist from before you arrive to the end of your stay. They don’t fail to make the kiddos feel special, welcomed, and wanted! That means a lot to things grandma since the kids are the reason we come! Our room has always been clean. And while there may be some areas that the hotel needs to update, staff is always available to ensure that even with the large crowds the property’s cleanliness is maintained. (To the best of my memory, each time we return, those things that needed replacing in the prior visit have been replaced.) Birthday packages are set up in the room between 4 and 6 PM. It is always a pleasant surprise. Either way! From the banner on the door to the birthday cake and balloons, the one cream cone, and of course the arcade card, it’s a special treat, indeed. Speaking of Birthday packages, we , personally, do not do the package that includes pizza because the pizza is not to our liking, but that’s OK because Concord, NC has a wide variety of restaurant options to suit our fancy. The restaurant within the hotel offers a Buffet for breakfast that we do choose to eat. It’s convenient way to get the kids fed so they can start their fun. There’s an ice cream shop, a gift shop that has a big wall of candy, coffee shop, donuts, an arcade, bowling, a quest—so many fun things to do under one roof! The resort is rather pricey, but if you plan ahead, or keep an eye out in your email as a member, you will find times that you can book your rooms quite inexpensively. Saving on the room means more cash in your budget for other activities within the resort or outside of it. My grands having been here multiple times don’t always have to do the quest or the arcade. Sometimes they’re just as happy to enjoy the water park and get an ice cream cone. Overall, if you play your cards (timing) right, the resort offers a big bang value for your buck!”

“Went for lunch today. Had a 5 minute wait to be seated which was pretty fast. Ordered our food. I also had soup with my meal but they had no silverware. The waitress brought a pack of plastic utensils. She eventually brought metal silverware .. For some reason they have become pretty stingy with condiments. They had bottled ketchup on tables except a few so she brought us packets instead of a bottle. The wood chairs are pretty hard to sit in. Some of them look like the front legs are shorter than the back legs. Other than that everything was ok..”

We initiated longer conversation, and appreciated the owners taking time to share fascinating stories about their personal lives and business. “I love nothing Bundt cakes. I go to multiple locations. I own the lunchbox, that gives you a special for every visit. All of the other locations the special is buy 3 get 1 free. The Concord location was the only one that you had to buy 4 get one free. I went about 3 weeks ago and was told that the special changed to buy 3 get 1 free. I was excited. I then visited 2 weeks later and was told that they did not honor the lunchbox anymore. I asked to speak to someone else. The first employee told me the manager told them to tell everyone that and if they got pushback to go ahead and honor the lunchbox. Shady customer service. When the second employee came out they said I could do the buy 3 get 1 free or the buy 4 get 1 free whichever one I wanted. The cakes are always delicious when I come to this store and it is close to my house. However I wish the manager valued loyalty and delivered better customer service.”

I was pleasantly surprised that the service was exceptional. The food was also exceptional. We had omelettes with home fries. The home fries were out of this world. Best place for breakfast I've ever been to. We are going back next week.”

I had a taste for fish and chips and checked out the reviews here! On arrival, you order from the till on the left as you enter! They have menus there too!

I asked the chap at the counter about the fish batter and he explained it was a dry batter and yes deep fried!

I had the flounder (sandwich) combo with the chips (French Fries) and a soda! (Tartare sauce on the side).

The fish and chips were made fresh while I waited and I chose to dine in! The atmosphere was very friendly and Lisa came over to chat as I finished my meal - which was very nice!

The fish sandwich was very tasty - nice batter and not at all greasy! The chips were decent too - and they had malt vinegar - yay! (You have to ask for it as they don't have it on the table - likewise ketchup/hot sauce)!

I shall definitely be telling my friends about this shop - and will most certainly be returning!”

“It's been a few years since I left a review for this business so I decided to update my review from before. Juamoto is the place to go for raw vegan food in the Charlotte/Concord area. Customer service, check, Food, even better than it was (and i don't know how that's possible), Vibe check. My daughter is not a raw vegan fan and she loved the raw cheesecake. Also the wrap he made me was so good and filling. I was able to have it for lunch, dinner and still have a little bit left over. Well worth the money. And honestly, you know a good raw vegan restaurant when the owner is glowing and gorgeous. If you go to a raw vegan restaurant and the owner has bad skin and a bad attitude? yeah, don't eat there.”

“Today was the first for my sons and I ever visiting a cat cafe. We had heard about it a few years back and I've been wanting to go ever since. We live in a small town approximately 4 hours from Charlotte and came down for a few days. This was a must do. It was even better than we expected. The staff were very nice and the facility was really clean. I had a smoothie which was delicious and my sons had iced coffee and hot chocolate. They both loved the drinks. The cats were amazing! We love cats anyway and have five of our own, so we enjoyed the time with these so much! My sons are both teenagers and they loved it every bit as much as I did, so much that my oldest asked if we could go back again tomorrow so we made another reservation....two in fact, so we could stay for 2 hours. This is an absolute MUST for anyone who likes cats.”

The shredded beef was awesome - perfectly seasoned and perfect texture. Green and red hot sauces were spot on. Fresh radish and lime accompaniment were perfect. Soup was piping hot and delicious. OMG THE FRIES!
They were hand made, and looked like what my grandmother would make. Crispy and tasty too, not mushy or undercooked.
I am coming back for breakfast, because a neighboring table had biscuits and gravy, and they were MAN SIZED biscuits and gravy. I may have to bring my own to go box though, because they have the coated cardboard boxes and I am not 100% sure that it would survive my drive.”

“It was my first time trying this place, a little difficult to find, but we were able to locate it. Very kind ladies; definitely a lot to manage when a rush is coming in and there are only two of them working. That didn’t stop them from being friendly and creating beautiful desserts. We got the Oreo and Mint rolled ice creams.”
