“Our wait to get a table was a long one as the place was packed… and it was totally worth it! We’ve been staying on Hatteras Island for about a dozen years and we’ve hit a lot of local restaurants in search of excellent seafood. Dinky’s tops the chart. Genuinely fantastic food AND staff. I have a feeling this will be an annual stop from here on out.“

“This was our first visit to Sonny's and we made a return trip later in the week. Recommended by locals at the marina and backed up by other good reviews. We stopped for lunch due to limited options on a Monday but don't let that keep you, food was good, prices were reasonable and staff was friendly. Lunch menu was no extensive but dinner menu had more options. Not sure if this is a seasonal choice but there was still something for everyone.“

“The Breakwater is a must visit on all our trips to Hatteras! The food is excellent, service top-notch, and the view the absolute best of any restaurant in Hatteras! It's good fun to sit on the deck listening to live music and watching the comings and goings of Hatteras Harbor. Don't miss this great spot!“

“My family and I were on vacation staying just down the road from Buxton Munch. We were all in the mood for fish tacos, and found this place by accident. It’s one of the best accidents we found. We all ordered the fish tacos and were amazed by the amount of food and the freshness of every ingredient. The owner and the staff were super friendly, which made lunch that much more enjoyable. If I lived down the street from this place, I would probably eat here once a week. I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed!“

“While at the OBX for our annual family vacation, we visited the CC for dinner. Always the best! The raw oysters were the best we ever had and the mignonette sauce excellent. Bring back the scallop puffs! See you next summer!“

“Avon’s Froggy Dog is always a must when we’re in the OBX. The food is amazing, the service is fast and cheerful, and Liza makes the BEST Bloody Mary on the island. Go for the Sunday Brunch - you’ll be glad you did!“
