Also, the bathroom is extremely old so always looks dirty. I only saw one bathroom and that was for both men and women. That is unusual for a restaurant.“

“I don’t normally write reviews for restaurants but after visiting Prime, I just had to let others know. First, the restaurant was clean and beautiful inside and out. The staff was friendly and attentive. The line to order was out the door. I guess that should have been my first clue that the service and food was going to be out of this world. They offered cold water to us while we waited in line. This was me and my family’s first time trying this restaurant and they were so patient and answered all our questions on meat and the best options. (Yes, we were those people holding up the line. Sorry!) The young men cutting and preparing the meat were knowledgeable and super nice. I ended up purchasing several items (Brisket, Ribs, House Made Sausage, and Turkey Breast). All I can say is if you are within 100 miles of this place you must make the trip! Your stomach will love you for it!“

“This was my first visit to the Raleigh location on May 28, 2025 with two out of town guests. three diff dishes were ordered..brisket, St. Louis rubbed ribs and burnt ends. The brisket and burnt ends were amazing. The ribs however were dry and tough. The meat certainly did not fall off the bone. I would not recommend the ribs based on this experience.“

“FIVE STARS to RH Rooftop Restaurant in Raleigh! Excellent food, superior service, and a beautifully decorated rooftop restaurant in Midtown Raleigh's North Hills district. Tonight's dinner choice was the classic Caesar Romaine salad with Parmigiano Reggiano, croutons, (to die for) blackened salmon, and the best ever truffle fries. All six persons enjoyed their dinner selections and the comfortable atmosphere. Wait staff was superb. Valet parking is a bonus if you need the service and underground parking is a breeze. Midtown Raleigh is definitely the hot spot in the Capital City of North Carolina.“

“The Depot on First has been open since October 2023 and since then has simply excelled as the only fine dining restaurant in the area. I enjoy seeing their ongoing tasting and intimate dining events, of which I will have to attend at some point. They don't take any shortcuts when it comes to freshly prepared food to save time which is why I will wait patiently in the elegantly decorated intimate, warm and inviting dining room for my entree upon every visit. The new ownership team at Larry’s Coffee seems unwilling to resolve shipping problems or even communicate with customers. In my case, I ordered a 2-pound bag of Woodstock Coffee that fell far short of the mark. After reporting this problem, I did not receive any response at all. After about 2 weeks I sent a second email that again generated nothing. Given this poor customer service, I decided to report a dispute with my credit card company for the purchase. Perhaps I should not be surprised but so far this has resulted in a similar stonewalling after more than a week. I am choosing to cancel my coffee subscription for Doctor Mojo after seeing nothing but trouble on the horizon for what has been a previously reliable coffee company.

Update 11-6-25: one of the new co-owners got in touch and offered to help after seeing the one-star Google review. I am pleased with the action taken as a result and am revising my rating to 4 stars to reflect the positive response once I was on the radar with a real problem that could have been resolved much sooner if email communication had worked better.“

“My wife and I ate here a couple of weeks ago, just after the Michelin recognition. It was a week night and there was no walk-in available, so a reservation was a must.

We ordered Bunuelos, wings, Lechcito Tacos and the Rajas Enchiladas. The standout was clearly the tacos. The pork was well seasoned and lime worked perfectly with the fat. Their corn tortillas are the single best tortilla i have ever had, and if the other three items we ordered werent just OK they would justify a 5 star rating.

I would go back if someone else wanted to. However I doubt I will be the driving force behind a return trip.“

They didn’t have bottled water, (update: they had filtered water better than bottled for free!) and the person taking our order wasn’t very friendly or welcoming (maybe he was having a bad day it’s hard to tip a cashier who isn’t friendly). However, the overall experience was still very positive. The food and cleanliness definitely make this a restaurant worth it!“

I think my favorites thus far have been:
- Dulce de Leche filled with Dulce de Leche with S'Mores
- Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies and Cream dipped in Crunchy Hazelnut and topped with Pistachios
- Mint Chocolate Chip with Nutella and as a Sandwich
But I'm sure there's more excellent combinations..

“I am so glad they have this location because the last one I visited was Charlotte and was bummed it was so far away! I cannot recommend this place enough, the sushi was phenomenal and especially the “build your own roll” was a wonderful thing to get to try! The decor is very fun, vibe in general is very upbeat, and the server was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Will definitely make another visit when I’m in the area.“
