“We have been going to John Brown's for several years. They are super consistent in the quality of food and super service. We drive about 40 miles to go there. We would be glad to drive 100 miles if we needed to to get the outstanding food and service. I recommend John Brown's to everyone!!“

“We were visiting Hanging Rock from another town and this restaurant was recommended to us. It is family owned. Much of the food is fresh and homemade. Portion sizes were amazing (big). It was so good, we went back twice.The hamburgers were large, juicy, and flavorful...hand pressed. Crisp bacon. The corn nuggets were delicious like a fried corn pudding. The salad was fresh with homemade dressing. We also tried the catfish nuggets...Best catfish I've ever tried. The coleslaw was top notch. The chicken pie the next day was really good too.The owner's daughters were working there, and they were warm and friendly and made our experience from our of town just wonderful. Thank you!!!“

“I have never had bad service or bad food here. Yes, they have great hotdogs (my favorite in the area), but DO NOT forget about their burgers! Fries are ok, but that's like most places. If you use the drive-thru, pull right up to the window to order unless someone is taking orders outside during busy times in the drive-thru line. It may take a minute waiting in line on the fresh food, but it's worth it.“

“Saw this place on tiktok and got a couple of recommendations for it so decided to give it a try. It was well worth every penny! I ordered the oxtails, yams and the mac & cheese. All the food was delicious. The lady serving us, who I'm guessing was the owner, was very polite and helpful. She could tell we'd never been there and offered us a piece of sweet potatoe pie. It was great! If you're in the area definitely try them out. I know I'll be back when I come back to Winston-Salem!“

Like other reviews say, PB Clark's is an old fashioned diner and like walking back in time. The servers greeted our grandparents by name, and we saw them do the same with others. This is a no-frills, locals spot and draws a country, mountain, crowd. Everyone knows everyone, and I'm glad we were with our grandparents who are locals. Otherwise, we stuck out as being "from off". For a breakfast side, order the hash browns. Everything is reasonably priced and was great fuel for hiking at Hanging Rock State Park.“

“I’ve been to several locations and eaten in and togo and I am a real fan! The chopped BBQ is as good as it gets and the hush puppies are rockstars. “One of my sisters decided to treat myself and 2 other sisters to North Point Grill. We arrived a little after 3pm on a Saturday, we were greeted and seated promptly, and there was only one other table being served. It's very open and spacious. They also have a private dining room that can be reserved. They have an extensive menu and a variety of cuisine. American/southern (burgers, meatloaf, baked chicken), salads, Italian pasta dishes, Greek/Mediterranean, and a ton deserts. We started with some ginormous potato skins. They were loaded with bacon, cheese, and green onion and served with a side of ranch. They were piping hot and justvas a potatoe skin should be. Some sour crram would have been nice. They probably would've given us some if asked, but we didn't. I decided on the meatloaf with lima beans, stewed cabbage, and a roll. I was warned that the meatloaf is typically served with the ketchup sauce/gravy on top. That's not a preference, and they were able to serve it without it. The meatloaf was seasoned well with a great texture. The stewed cabbage and lima beans weren't as flavorful as I would've liked, but they were still good. Now, that damn roll!! Imma go back just for the roll. It was so warm, fluffy, and buttery! It was just perfect. I should've asked for an extra one! I also had sweet tea to drink, and it was perfectly brewed and sweetened. Other orders at the table included: - baked chicken with rice and lima beans -grilled chicken salad (it was HUGE) -bologna sandwich with fries and a side of cabbage. Everyone enjoyed everything, and the servings were so large that we all had food to take home.“
