“This store is under new management. There is alot to work on but they have assured me that they will continue to improve. It's worth giving them another chance I have already noticed alot of changes from cleanliness to food quality. They are working hard to show how grateful they are to the customers for there continued business. I will be going back to watch the changes happen.“
“I'm with a lot of the other reviews. Over priced much....... got the Gumbo. If you're going to serve someone Half of the container maybe put it in a smaller container so the customer doesn't feel jipped. The Gumbo was very flavorful with the right amount of spice. But 1 small scoop of rice..... rice is very inexpensive and they put it in a huge container to make it seem even smaller. $17 for a lunch. Nope“
“Amazing little hole in the wall diner. Great food and selection of items. I always get the livermush, egg, and cheese with the livermush cooked crispy. And it's ALWAYS cooked to perfection. The employees are super friendly and helpful. They have limited hours and are only open for breakfast and lunch, so keep that in mind when you're wanting to order from here. The parking lot is small so just keep that in mind when coming here to eat. They don't have indoor dining, but they have a table or 2 outside to sit at and eat. This is a must try restaurant when you're in Hickory. Make sure to get napkins when you pick up your order because sometimes the sandwiches can get a little messy, but those are the best kinds to eat. Prices are outrageous like other places. I give this place a 10/10!!“
“If you're in Hickory, NC and wanting a really great sub, please try Sub Station II. They have indoor dining as well as take out. Pretty much any sub you get you will be thoroughly pleased. I have never had a bad sub from here. Their toppings are fresh, and their bread is fresh as well. They also serve salads if you're in the mood for one instead of a sub. But this place is SO much better than that chain sub store. I promise that you will be satisfied with whatever you choose to eat. I give this place a 10/10. If you're in Hickory please stop by here to grab a sub. You won't be disappointed.“
“I brought my dad and my son for breakfast. Cafe Gouda has been around long enough to not be a typical Hickory fly-by-night restaurant. The food was good and the service was friendly. I'm now ashamed that I don't patronize them more.“
“So I've been trying to watch what I eat, so that has lead me more toward sandwich shops. If you get a small sub, the calories are not bad. However a small is just that, small. The staff was very polite and pointed out how small a small was, and didn't make a huge deal out of it, which I very much appreciated! “Food was great. Only 2 cars in the parking lot and it took 10 minutes for someone to take my order at the drive thru. They said...be with you in a minute...I even backed the car up after 5 minutes of waiting hoping it would remind someone that I was there...again they said, be with you in a minute and it still took 5 more minutes for someone to take my order. The 2 employees were very nice, my food was great but not sure what took TOO LONG.“
“They will make you a 2lb sandwich here it seems! It is so GOOD. And VERY affordable. Their big one is like 10 bucks and the size of 2 subway subs. One and a half on a bad day LOL. I love this place. “Some subways put their meat in little pre measured cups and you get barely anything for what you pay. THIS subway does it the way you are supposed to. They scoop the meat out and put it on. Much better bang for your buck and the meat is pre sauced (for teriyaki) which is WAY better than when they just put chicken strips and drizzle sauce on it. Crew at this subway, WAY TO GO.
