“What else can I say but this place is exceptional. Today, we went to celebrate my wife's birthday as it is a family favorite. This place was busy! Spencer is already one of the hardest working Managers in Greensboro, and he was out there with the rest of the staff making sure everything was moving along. Our server, Alex, was incredible and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was exceptional, from appetizer to dessert. We had the Parmesan Artichoke cheese dip, the honey-chili aioli fried chicken sandwich, hot dog (for the kiddo), and for dessert we had the Kahlua Espresso Cheesecake (coffee w/ Bailey's for Mom and Dad). We are somehow always more impressed with this place every visit and can't wait to get back!“

“impulsively had dinner here with my husband and niece on new year's eve, and we had such a fantastic customer service experience i wanted to share. i first called and inquired on if there was a wait, which there was not. when we arrived, they remembered that i had called and we were sat immediately. unfortunately, i cannot remember the name of our server, but he was absolutely phenomenal - easy going and professional, and very attentively listening. my family has very specific texture and dietary needs, and he answered all of our many questions very patiently and thoroughly, which i truly appreciate. he was attentive with checking in with us without being overbearing. i also did not feel rushed by him at all, which i also really appreciated.

the atmosphere was warm and lively. there were large groups, so it is quite loud, but that's just part of the vibe. whatever radio station they had on was so good and i really enjoyed listening to it. we all enjoyed our food and had an awesome time. i felt that by doing small things, charbar went above and beyond, particularly on the night of a major holiday. we greatly appreciate everyone on staff that evening for a overwhelmingly positive experience.“

“Our waiter was rubbing some girls' hair and scalp for 3-4 minutes before coming to serve us. two of our party of 5 were there for lunch. the waiter did not wash his hands and we were disgusted. we did not say anything as I decided to make a written comment at home. He also did not write down our orders saying he had been doing this a long time and didn't need to write down the orders. “What started as a $4.15 Happy Meal on a road trip the day after Christmas, proceeding to hungry and very angry parents late at night after several other restaurants ended up being closed or refusing to serve walk-in customers, ended with a $40 meal and the angel at the Jake’s Diner drive-thru. I don’t actually know what’s on the menu, and honestly, they probably could’ve served Lunchables and I’d have still given them a four star review. “Fun bar! Had a DJ with a dance floor. Good bar service. Id like to go back its such a cool place with a good location in downtown. Best for groups of max 4-6 considering the seating arrangement have high tables for 4 people and maybe one big table that I remember. Beer had a large selection on tap. Great experience overall!“

“We were sceptical when we walked in because of outdated reviews and the dining room was empty but we walked around to the bar side and there were customers and the bartender Sidney, who was also waitressing. We talked to her and she told us to sit wherever we wanted. We chose to go into the empty dining room. She brought our menus and drinks within minutes. We acknowledged that we knew she was the only one working and she was very nice and attentive while working both rooms. We ordered the Korean fried cauliflower appetizer and OMG, it was fantastic! Fried perfectly with a sweet chili sauce that had the perfect hint of spicy.(We ate it all before the picture) We also got a reuban sandwich with the best onion rings, The chicken quesadilla which was also amazing and the Gate City Burger which was layered perfectly with 2 burgers, onions, mushrooms, cheese, bacon and bbq sauce. Plenty enough to make 2. Served with yummy french fries. Everything was so good! I'm glad we didn't form an opinion based on old reviews. I would absolutely recommend eating here. Great food, big portions, reasonable pricing and service with a smile!“
