Both were absolutely delicious, but the Fried Green Tomato sandwich was the best sandwich I've had in a very long time. Went back the next day to take my Mom (near their closing time). and tried the Roasted Sweet Potato Spinach and Bacon salad. Definitely another win... was absolutely delicious!! “My wife and I love The Fourk. We visit Hickory often. I'm originally from NY, on our first visit our Waiter was Dave. Great guy and awesome conversations. We missed him this last visit, however, Tasha was also a fantastic Waitress. We loved The Burrata, and my lady was delighted with The Jumbo Scallops. I just can't stray away from your Fourk Chop. I'll try something else next time.“

“This Culvers was extremely impressive. We stopped by for lunch on our way to Asheville. When I say they were busy, that may be an understatement. Line out the door, drive thru lined up, parking lot FULL. Being that we had received a Culver's gift card for christmas, we decided to go ahead and stay. The staff was extremely friendly. We waited about 10 minutes in line to order considering the amount of people. Then only had to wait about 15 minutes for our hot and fresh food to be at our table. I have experienced longer wait times at other Culver's in an environment that was not a fraction of the amount of busy they were. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I want to give props to the crew working. They were on it! Everything was clean, even the drink station! As stated before, very impressed with how this location is ran. Like a smooth sailing ship. “The owner Augustine and his entire staff are incredible. They're professional and efficient. Love the seafood, lightly breaded. Good ambiance and restrooms are clean.
I love that they give you your drink to go too. All waitresses/waiters are nice. And the menu is easy to navigate with reasonable prices. I will come here for as long as he owns the restaurant! I love the calamari, it's full pieces not just rings. Everything is good on the menu. Neat how they have a drive thru also!“

“My wife and I were in Hickory for the 1st time during the 1st weekend of June. We love exploring breweries when in new towns. We stumbled upon Olde Hickory Brewery and absolutely loved it. The bartender, Jon, asked what we liked and explained all the beers they had, how long they’ve been in business and the restaurants and pub owned by them. He patiently answered all our questions and gave us samples of beers that interested us. We loved Photon Sphere (very interesting brew), The Event Horizon, and all the beers in the Nova series. Jon explained them very accurately. When he had time, he sat with us and talked for a couple of minutes. Before we left town we came back to buy beer to bring home to Alpharetta, GA. To our surprise, Jon remembered our names! Even though the brewery was much busier, we notice he gave the same attention to all the customers. He seemed to truly love talking to people. The beer, Jon, and atmosphere were all great. If you are near Hickory- go there. If we come back we sure will. Thanks, Jon!“

“10/10 delicious!!! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu ! We shared a club , hotdog , country fried steak , okra ,curds , mashed potatoes and gravy ! All delicious! Only thing I can complain about is not having enough room to try the dessert! I’m sure that woulda been delicious as well ! If you are looking for a delicious home cooked style meal with lots of flavor , this is the place !“

My wife and I usually travel to Asheville for good food. On a Sunday there weren’t a lot of options. We decided to give backstreets a try. It’s been years since I ate here and didn’t remember. She got Cajun chicken pasta and I got possibly the best Rueben I’ve had in years. I’d say the pasta is better than Cheesecake Factory. The only negative thing was the judgy couple sitting beside us. However, they cannot control who comes through their doors. The service was excellent and I’m so happy I found a place I am happy with locally.“

“Just picked up my call in order. Saturday 7/20/24 at 4:20pm. When I called to place my order the young man was so kind and professional. When I arrived to pick up my order, the restaurant was packed! When I entered to get my food… I believe the same young man from the phone greeted me immediately. There were several other employees that greeted my young son as I was paying. They were all so sweet and inviting. My food was perfect. Exactly as I ordered, condiments included. “My husband and I are “foodies” and we absolutely LOVE the Vintage House in Hickory. We would rank this restaurant as one of the top in NC. Every appetizer, entree, and dessert are delicious and beautifully plated. The atmosphere is upscale without being stuffy. Prices are in line with the food and service received. All staff are excellent, and we particularly appreciate the warm welcome we always receive from Jack. We are very thankful to have such an excellent restaurant in our hometown!“
