“Enjoyed a fabulous meal last night with our friends. The restaurant is in an older antique home in Huntersville close to the highway. We were greeted at the door by the host/owners very friendly and sat with our group of seven in a small very private area ( as are most) in a series of dining rooms very nicely furnished with comfortable chairs. Our hostess immediately came over and took our drink order. There was a large selection of wines by both glass and bottle and both cocktails and regular beverages served from a large bar at the rear of the restaurant. The menu selections were wide and varied and the hostess informed us of three additional special entrees for the evening . For appetizers we ordered garlic bread with a traditional dipping oil and calamari with red sauce both were great . All the entrees were served together and were the best Italian food we have tasted outside of Italy anywhere. A lot of there sauces , desserts and breads are made on premises. There was water goblets as soon as we arrived at the table. Service was excellent, food was delicious and remarkable. Would not hesitate to go back. Prices were outstanding . “We have been going to Antico for at least seven years; the food is normally excellent. Last visit, I had the lunch portion around 2PM Chicken Capricioso and the chicken was tough, barely any artichoke. This review was more of a heads up to the kitchen. I was kind on the “4” rating for the dish, as your dishes are typically wonderful. Also, our waiter was too busy socializing to notice the needs of his other customers.“

“I love their chicken salad. I was so disappointed when they took it off their menu. The last time I was there I. asked the manager about it. He said they now run it as a special every other week. And to call each week to see if it was a special well today was my lucky day! I called and it was on special! I have to say I was disappointed when I saw they had cut back on the portion size and cost had gone up. But I wanted it that bad and paid the price! It was still as good as ever. Server was respectful and polite. Only problems was ALLLL THE FLIES. Fans were circulating above but not really near tables to serve any purpose other than moving air. Owner/manager greeted everyone which was very nice. But you really got to see what can be done with flies… you could barely get food on your fork up to your mouth before they were all over your plate or trying to get to the fork. That made for an unpleasant dining experience. I’ve never ate on any restaurants outdoor area and flies were that bad.“

“These folks are listed out of Huntersville, but they travel, and I, for one, am extremely grateful for their mobility.They have 2 enormous smokers, and they most definitely know how to use them.Turkey wings, legs, chicken, BBQ, etc. I could go on and on, but I included a close-up shot of their menu for you to look over yourself.They are located on Statesville Ave on Fridays. Right across from the Shell gas station and right next door to Jerry's grocery store in a huge gravel filled lot. There is plenty of room for parking and some picnic tables to sit at as well.The sweet tea is Southern, and the Q is definitely on point, with their own sauce, not quite all Eastern NC style and not quite all Western NC style, but a nice crossover. Loved the potato salad, and the turkey leg was smoked to absolute perfection. You can literally taste the infusion of smokiness in each and every single bite. My co-worker ordered a couple of cheeseburgers and some fries and said they were a big hit as well. The burger actually covered the entire bun. He said the Q sauce was great for dipping the fries as well.You can follow them and see where they'll be located each and every day. “I don't know why but I have been to 5 different Gas Station Chicken restaurants in various states and it is absolutely the best chicken you can get . The chicken has nice spices and was both Krispy and Krunchy . They also good fries and a dazzling array of dipping sauces. So if you are thinking about having disgusting KFC stop by here and have a good meal .“

“I placed a take-away order online. When I arrived, my order was ready in the timeframe specified. The order was correct. The food was of good quality and fresh. It was overly greasy or overcooked, as is often the case with many Chinese takeout restaurants.

I order the wonton soup and fried rice if it's not to my taste I stay away. But this place has beyond surpassed my requirements. So much flavor and just the right if not better flavore. I'll be exploring there menu as long as I can.“

“Exceptional Dining Experience at Que Onda Original!

We'd heard rave reviews about the original Que Onda restaurant, and our curiosity was piqued. Although we'd tried many of their dishes at other locations, we were eager to explore new options. The birria torta and birria ramen exceeded our expectations. The generous serving of tender, juicy meat was perfectly seasoned. The drinks were also very amazing and thirst quenching.

What truly stood out, however, was the restaurant's warm and inviting atmosphere. Even though this is the oldest Que Onda restaurant, it still holds its own homey charm - a true testament to the owners and manager's dedication to preserving its authentic character.

We'll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend trying their unique dishes. Service and quality were top-notch!“

“Northeast Chinese lovers rejoice, I have found your Chinese food fix replacement! I have tried nearly 30 different Chinese restaurants between Huntersville and Matthews to try and find a restaurant that I could trust for food that was as good as what I could get back up north. I have traveled up to 40 minutes to find Chinese food, and every restaurant was bland, tasteless, poor quality or pumped so full of MSG it left us wanting water and an Advil. This place notes no MSG on their menu and I waited until my third meal to write an honest review. This place has hit every time and provides food I thought I could only find back home. Notable dishes are the sesame chicken and kung pao. Don't sleep on the place, easily the best Chinese in the area.“

“Just want to shout out Jet’s pizza...I (like apparently ever other human in the area) called multiple places this afternoon for a pizza delivery a few hours ahead of when I wanted it, and Jet’s was the third try that could actually do the time I wanted the pizza to arrive. The time came and passed so I called 15 minutes after it was due to ask for an update. I was told that my order hadn’t been assigned to a driver because they got really backed up but it would be out ASAP. I was bummed since we had trick or treat to get crackin on, but I just said “ok thank you” and hung up and told the kids we would play it by ear for adjusted plans around when food got here. Just before 6:00, I get a call from Jet’s profusely apologizing, telling me a fresh pizza order would be to me shortly and my card would not be charged. My pizza arrived perfectly hot and fresh not long after, and my kids still got a full night of trick or treat in...just wanted to shout out Jet’s for this above and beyond gesture as I had NO expectation for such a thing, knowing how crazy all the pizza joints were tonight (10/31/20)“

“If you want a casual meal out, Yoshi's is the place to go. Their food is always fresh, hot, and delicious! The staff are friendly and relaxed. The quick service to order at the counter and either sit down and wait or takeout is on point.

Pricing is just right and I am always excited to try new sushi rolls and items on the menu. The panfryed gyoza is savoring and a wonderful appetizer.

“This is the last family friendly place in Charlotte to get an old fashioned traditional breakfast. I take my elderly father here every chance I get. It's tucked away and not easy to find from the road, but it's worth the effort to find the parking lot.

“My sisters & I stopped in on July 11, 2023. Super friendly staff. Our waitress was so sweet & the entire staff was friendly to us. We’re from Texas, so we don’t have many Waffle House restaurants in our area. Food was ok, but the friendly service was 5 star!“

“We came for my mom’s birthday and we absolutely loved it. We had hot tea to start and ended up getting a couple of dishes so that we can eat family style.
We ordered mixed vegetables, Chinese eggplant, moo shu chicken and chicken chow fun. Everything was delicious.

The mixed vegetable were fresh and crunchy/crispy. You can tell these veggies were cooked in a wok because they were not soggy even though they were tossed in a delicious brown sauce. This was the highlight of our meal and it came with white rice which we enjoyed. The Chinese eggplant was delicious as well and was really great with the chili oil that they provided.

We will certainly be back again as the food was absolutely delicious and NOT oily/greasy like most Chinese restaraunts are.“
