Cindy, the owner, could not have been more gracious and welcoming. It was genuinely great seeing her again after far too long.

We sat at the bar with two of my longtime friends and my beautiful wife, and Ian …bartender and, as far as I’m concerned, Chief Oyster Concierge … made the entire evening even better. His knowledge of oysters and seafood is impressive, but what really stood out was how much he clearly cares about what he does. The conversation was entertaining, intelligent, and educational without ever feeling forced. We learned a ton and had a great time doing it.

If I owned a restaurant, Ian is exactly the kind of person I’d want representing it.

It had been a while since our last visit, but that won’t happen again. North Banks is officially going back into the rotation as one of our go-to restaurants here in Corolla, and we’re already looking forward to coming back in the next week or so.

My husband got the daily special, it was the Honey Bourbon Pork Chop, I got the Scallops and Shrimp with Pesto Pappardelle, both meals 10/10! I got a mixed drink too, it was delicious. “We ate here on Friday Oct. 20. Bartender was super friendly. Highly recommend the clam chowder, best we've ever had. I had the Grouper special and it great. My wife had the Tuna, was super pleased, cooked perfect and not many places get it right. They did. Chef was great to talk to. She explained a lot as we sat at the bar waiting for our food. Backyard bar was our kind of place. The band had to cancel because of rain but It would have been a great place to see one. Will go back next time we are in Duck. Thanks for a great experience.“

“Great burgers! Wait staff was fantastic. They were also very accommodating for a shellfish allergy and used a pan on the grill and changed gloves, as to not cross contaminate.(kitchen is open, so I watched the process) Also the waiter immediately told me I wouldn’t be able to eat the fries due to cross contamination and subbed a salad for the same price. We will return on our next visit.“
