“I recently dined at NC Coast Grill & Bar in Duck, NC. The overall experience was pleasant, with attentive service and well-prepared dishes. However, I did notice that the ingredients didn’t feel particularly fresh, more like pre-prepped items that were reheated before serving. That said, the flavors were still enjoyable, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. A decent spot for a casual meal, though I’d love to see a stronger focus on freshness in the future. 3.5 stars.”

“I really enjoyed the visit here. This is The Spot for healthy alternatives and some ice cream too. The staff was helpful and friendly. The young lady who took my order was super friendly and the young man who made my treat was respectful and attentive - no blank stare and no silent handoff where the person puts your stuff in the counter like they are mute.

“So let’s just starting by saying this , myself & my family have been going to Hurricane Mo’s for around 8 years this year . We love it here, from the food to the atmosphere, & the staff . We recommend it 100% of the way. We went there today for dinner and there was a lot of “new faces” working there but one stuck out to me. We had our daughter with us (who is 11) ask me about one new worker there on why her butt was eating her shorts . And as it caught my attention, not only was her butt legit eating what shorts she had on not to mention they looked dirty & the were ripped to show her upper thigh, & by the way she was walking around sticking out her tongue to play with her tongue ring . I’m not being mean by any means when I say legit this waitress looked like a lizard walking around sticking out her tongue to play with the barbell . Every time we have been there in the past we couldn’t have asked for a better family spot to go out to eat . So I ask the “owner/manager” please have a talk with the lizard waitress on Atleast wearing shorts that don’t eat her booty & show her upper thigh off . Thank you ! & we do look forward to coming back for the good food 😊”

“Food and service were fantastic. Our waitress was efficient and friendly, the owner or manager was also out helping doing things like cleaning our table when I spilled a drink and refilling drinks. We tried a mix of all things and loved them all- pulled pork, fried chicken, collard greens, hush puppies, ribs, fries, brisket and sweet tea. Also all of this less than hour before closing. Overall, the taste of the food was good, but the lunch portions are a bit small, so if you are very hungry I would suggest ordering a couple of things.”

“🚨 🚨 ‼️ ‼️ Long Post Alert so just a heads up if you want a read ahead of your stay or if you’re a local and just want to know what the inlanders feel about this local gem on the shores of the Outer Banks. My wife and I spent our honeymoon last week in KH and all we can say about this place is, our bank probably thinks we moved in there. But for Good reason. From the time you walk in the door and are greeted by the hosts, to taking a peak in the gift shop. There is everything for everyone in this convenient beachside bar and restaurant. We made our way to the back side of the bar and were immediately greeted by Ryan who explained what the daily specials were and offered us a cocktail, all the while with a smile on his face. We chose the 1/2 lb shrimp, and as much shrimp as we ate at some other locations (over 20) this right here…hands down best on the coast. The ambiance is inviting and rewarding with just the step up from your seat and you have a beautiful view of the famous dunes and the Atlantic. The conscience of this place is unmatched. Once your belly’s are good and full, you’re just a few steps away from your toes in the sand and what better way to walk of some great food than with your toes in the water. We also dabbled in other specials of the day, unique beachside cocktails and I promise you, some of the BEST conversations with locals and bartenders alike. Not to mention the upstairs open air bar and seating where we met Jacob. One of the other bartenders who told us his in time the day prior. As we were planning our evening the next morning we said “wait Jacob’s upstairs tomorrow. it’s a pretty evening tonight, let’s go to the top Bar.” Needless to say, away we went. Consistency. Consistency. Consistency. Everywhere you look. Every food item you see. Every conversation you have. Everything about it is what makes this place so very special and truly only 1/1 in my opinion! To the Management, Staff and Owners of this wonderful restaurant…please keep up what you’re doing. It works and it’s made the most positive of impressions on me and my Wife. Thank you all for having us and oh by the way, we will see you guys for our 1 year Anniversary in 2026!!! Cheers to each and every one of you! 🍻 🍸 🥃”

“Our party of 3 (2 vegetarians and 1 vegan) absolutely loved our lunches here. The owner was friendly and accommodating and obviously puts time and intention into her recipes. We didn't feel like her veggie options were an afterthought, like they were most other places in the OBX. The basil pesto and sun-dried tomato pesto were stellar. The fresh mozzarella was creamy and delicious. Her smoothies and coffee drinks were delicious as well. This was by far our favorite place to eat on our vacation!”

From the very beginning, he took the time to curate a thoughtful, customized menu with us, listening to our ideas, offering suggestions, and creating something that truly reflected our family’s tastes. It set the tone for an incredible week. Every dish he prepared was thoughtful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Our family and friends were blown away by his flavors and presentations, and we found ourselves excited for each meal as a highlight of the day. Beyond the food, Pok’s presence made our week so special. He was warm, kind, easy to be around, and genuinely invested in making our experience unforgettable.
