“just visiting AVL but I had to leave a review! everyone working here was so kind and happy to be there. they appeared to be out of blueberry crumble cake but were somehow able to find one more piece for me. our lattes were delicious and my boyfriend enjoyed the absolute heck out of his bacon egg and cheese biscuit even complimenting how the bacon was cooked. the biscuit was warm and our lattes were hot! we will definitely be back next time we’re in town“

“We live just north of the village and come here often. Love Yellow Mug! Order at the counter, find a table indoors or out, they will find you when your food is ready. Terrific fresh-ground coffee, creative breakfasts, sandwiches, salads (I love The One with Quinoa and Butternut Squash—yes, that is its name). Very fresh food, veg/vegan and GF options, beer and wine, excellent wifi….one of our favorite places!!!“

“I go to Izzy's on Lexington regularly. It's my favorite coffee shop in Asheville. Usually Rand is the barista when I show up and he's great at his job and he's warm and friendly. The coffee is good and the baked goods (especially the fig and olive scone) are delicious. The coffee shop has great art that rotates, local artists are supported. I would recommend Izzy's to anyone and have nothing but good things to say about it.“

“This place is so great that we ate breakfast there every morning that we were in Asheville. On day one I had the Goat of Monte Cristo. They put their homemade raspberry preserve on it and it was mouth watering. I actually asked if I could buy a jar of it and bless their hearts they sold me a jar of the preserve, which is something that they don't normally do. Thanks you so much again. I am enjoying it at home now. Everything we ate was excellent, every day. They are located in the Grove Arcade Building. DON'T MISS IT!!!!“

“We had a pre-wedding dinner at the Rabbit Hole and it couldn’t have gone better. From the initial communication, to the wonderful space, everything was great and perfect for a smaller gathering. “We stopped at Vortex donuts in Asheville on our trip. They have tons of vegan donuts and I was so excited to stop here and let the kids pick donuts in an actual bakery for the first time! They both had their hearts set on chocolate frosted with rainbow sprinkles before we even walked in and my heart sank because they were right next to peanut butter flavored donuts in the case and no guarantee that the donuts wouldn’t be contaminated by the glazing trays even if the employee took them from the back. He said that none of the options would be completely safe since they reuse trays for glazing. Thank goodness we were there when it was not busy because the manager (??) overheard the conversation and offered to go in the back and freshly glaze donuts for us! 🥰 You have no idea how thankful we are to that man. The kids were over the moon getting to try cake and yeast donuts and of course we bought extras to our destination! Andy and I got several other unique flavors to try and they were also so dang good!
