“Food is fantastic.
You order at the counter and then find a seat. No wait. Server brought it out quickly after we sat down within a few minutes.
Biscuits are large and fresh with a nice crust outside, lite and fluffy inside. I had the classic, 2 eggs, (over easy), fried potatoes (crispy and not greasy),all three meats (country ham — leaner than spiral, more salty, but good! Chopped sausage — tye good kind that looks like a smash burger. Very lean, good mix of herbs and spices. The bacon was lean, thick, crispy). Plate had a radiccio, friesse and radish salad.
Topped it off with a cortada — great meal to start the day.

Nice place in door or outside.

“We live just north of the village and come here often. Love Yellow Mug! Order at the counter, find a table indoors or out, they will find you when your food is ready. Terrific fresh-ground coffee, creative breakfasts, sandwiches, salads (I love The One with Quinoa and Butternut Squash—yes, that is its name). Very fresh food, veg/vegan and GF options, beer and wine, excellent wifi….one of our favorite places!!!“

“The only thing I don't like here is that the hours are bad! But that is IT.

I stumbled across Bad Manners just walking around, I live in west avl and I didn't even realize it was here! The location is nice because you can park in the mini lot in front of the store, or in ingles next door. Plus, it's right next to bottiwalla and a cute thrift store that I can't remember the name of (and of course all the other thrift spots in west Asheville!). I like the baristas here they are really nice, and the seating is limited but cute. They have a decent selection of gluten free things for the ratio of how much food they have in general- it's not a lot but it's the basics and something to munch on. All of the drinks I've tried here have been great!

Matcha is not perfect, it looks really green on top for the hot matcha but once you stir it's paler. But it's one of the better matchas in Asheville! It had a nice flavor and wasn't grainy. I would get it again.

“I always try to patronize small town coffee shops when I am on a road trip, so once I found Papertown, I made it a point to detour thru Canton on my way home from WNC. Lovely little shop that has a case of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Service was so friendly and I really enjoyed sipping on my cold brew. Canton has a charming downtown and I am going to make it a point to stop and enjoy more of the town next time!“

“We have visited once for dinner and once for breakfast and I have a tough time putting down my utensils. Dinner with 4 had tartar and mussels and calamari apps and all were perfect. I had the Gemelli pasta dish (gluten sensitive) and enjoyed the flavors. For breakfast I had the Benedict Hash. My mouth wants to marry that sauce. The steak and eggs were perfectly cooked, the sauce is bold with lemon and paprika and oh so delicious.“

“This place is so great that we ate breakfast there every morning that we were in Asheville. On day one I had the Goat of Monte Cristo. They put their homemade raspberry preserve on it and it was mouth watering. I actually asked if I could buy a jar of it and bless their hearts they sold me a jar of the preserve, which is something that they don't normally do. Thanks you so much again. I am enjoying it at home now. Everything we ate was excellent, every day. They are located in the Grove Arcade Building. DON'T MISS IT!!!!“

“I go to Izzy's on Lexington regularly. It's my favorite coffee shop in Asheville. Usually Rand is the barista when I show up and he's great at his job and he's warm and friendly. The coffee is good and the baked goods (especially the fig and olive scone) are delicious. The coffee shop has great art that rotates, local artists are supported. I would recommend Izzy's to anyone and have nothing but good things to say about it.“

“Today was a very special experience. I called and spoke with Casey and after our brief call and her positive tone and eagerness to help, it was clear that I could get out of the house, not isolate, and come and work with her in person. My fur-baby of over 15 years crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. I was seeking a special plant to deliver to the caregivers at a local daycare that have helped me so much with him these last several weeks to say thank you and have some additional closure and share kindness in the midst of one of the hardest days that I could imagine, although I knew that this time was soon to come. Casey welcomed me into her shop and supported me with much empathy, kindness, and grace to help shop for the caregivers, but also a beautiful orchid for myself and some candles to light in his memory over this upcoming long weekend where I’ll be inside. I was able to get a new journal just to write this weekend about memories of him. Casey surprised me with something unexpected as well to express the condolences of Flora. Keep in mind that I had never been to Flora before, I am new to Asheville, and sometimes the most genuine kindness can come from people and places that you may least expect it. I do have another dog that is a rescue and I would like to know if the shop is dog-friendly. I would love to come there on the weekends sometime and have a coffee and feel held and know that I belong in a place of such pawsitivity and acceptance. Be like Casey! Be Kind! The world needs more kindness and compassion now than ever before. I will be a routine customer and I highly recommend that you all visit this business when possible. You will not regret it! “This is the first time we have ever visited a place where the donuts were made fresh to order however you like them. They were AMAZING! Since we had never been there before, we weren't really sure what we were doing. The clerk showed us a card with all the options and also told us that we could create our own. We didn't really notice how to create our own until after we had ordered, so more explicit instructions would be helpful for newbies. However, I HIGHLY recommend this place!“

“This morning, I stopped by for a coffee and something to eat after being disappointed with the breakfasts offered by hotel chains.

I was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service and an absolutely delicious cup of coffee. The flavor was a bit on the light side for my taste, so I added two extra shots, and it turned out perfect.

The bread was spectacular—fresh, crispy, topped with tomato, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced.
