“We always have a wonderful meal at Little D's. The staff is always professional and so personable. I like that they change their menu regularly. My only negative and it's not their fault is that as a local, I don't always make dinner reservations a week or two ahead of time and Little D's is so good that they are always booked up if you're trying for a reservation with only a two or three day lead.“
“We love Hoppy Trees and have been regular patrons since they opened. It is by far one of favorite places to stop in and have a drink. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy and the owner Paul is always welcoming. There is a wide array of drink options from liquor, beer, wine to non-alcoholic items for adults and kids. Snacks are available or you are welcome to bring in outside food. Love art? This is an art bar inspired by Bob Ross and the decor does not disappoint. Local artists are readily displayed throughout the space. There is even a great private room in the back for private gatherings or events. If you are a local or just visiting, I recommend stopping in and staying a while!!“
“I really wish that I could give Tall John's more than 5 stars because it's perfect. The menu is American classics done with skill and attention to detail. We've been twice in one week and every single dish is delicious. The tartare comes with crackers that have been lovingly fried and aren't the least big greasy as well as a whole pile of fresh soft herbs and the pan sauce from the roast chicken is good enough to drink. We are extremely particular about cocktails and these have clearly been meticulously fine tuned. They come ice cold in chilled glasses and it is deeply satisfying. I think you can always tell when staff like working at a restaurant and the staff seems relaxed and happy. Service is just as good as the food. I described a salad I'd seen someone eating on a previous visit to our server and he said he was pretty sure it was the "very good green salad." After he brought it and I'd had some he said "is that the salad you dreamed of?" We wish service would be like this everywhere and all these details will keep us coming back again and again.“
“We live here in Weaverville. We love to dine out and visit many good restaurants in the greater Asheville area. We are quite proud of our local fine dining restaurant, Glass Onion, here in our small town. The front of the house is very well run. The staff are all professional - just the right level of attentiveness, but also natural and personal. Teenagers are great in some settings, but here, you appreciate their absence. Not only the chef but the wait staff have real experience in this business. They have a sense of flavors when providing cocktails, wine, and food. Many have worked there for years. The martinis are the best in Asheville, and the food is wonderful whether you order seafood, steak, or pasta. Lovely people, lovely provisions.“
“Walked in to hear some live music on a brief visit and snagged seats at the bar right before the band started. They were great (The John Henrys) as were the wine and beer. The vibe in this place is very comfortable and it’s easy to lose track of time in such an inviting space.“
“We decided to come to the area for a long weekend and booked this for our first night in the area. We learned what it took to make a screen print and then did a couple test tries on paper before moving to a shirt. A drink is also included in the price and they have quite a selection to choose from. It was definitely a fun experience and would suggest it to anyone in the area!“
“We LOVED our experience at the Golden Pineapple! It was our first time there, we've heard a little about it. The drink menu is very fun and has something for everyone. Non alcoholic and alcoholic options. We both had the Bodega sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches we both have ever had! Everything about the sandwich was incredible and the side salad was so delicious! The atmosphere was nothing short of pleasant. Fantastic place. We will definitely be coming back.P and J“
“This is the best restaurant in Asheville. The staff is beyond knowledgeable about the entire menu. Read that again. The staff is beyond knowledgeable about the ENTIRE menu. The food is always great. The servers are second to none. Ralph and Tony are engaged and a testament to a time gone by in regard to how owners interact and are among their patrons. Ralph has forgotten more about wines than most of us will ever know. I cannot stress enough how great this place is. Whenever someone comes to visit- I tell them to go to Avenue M.“
“Best Italian food in Asheville. The Greek salad, mozz sticks , and linguine w shrimp scampi was all amazing. Tbh haven’t had a bad dish yet here, the only thing better was the service. Our waiter Dalton was amazing and a kind soul, if only my fiancé was as attentive to me as the service here !“
“Great cocktails. Ambience was a bit dark, and it brings the energy down quite a bit. The food ranged from good to very good, but my biggest gripe is that this is a restaurant taking the beautiful concept of tapas, a cheap, small plate, ordered in magnitude to comprise a meal, and charging $15 for them. I'd like to comment on specific menu items but their menu isn't posted online.Gets a 3.5 from me but will give a 4 since has received high reviews from friends.“
“The open faced biscuit and gravy chicken biscuit was beyond delicious. The award winning fried chicken breast is really just a cut above. They also had a great vegan BBQ tofu sandwich that tastes incredible. Great spot for a quick, affordable, and LOCAL bite!!!“
“This is the first bar I've ever went to, and it was a great experience! The decor provided for a modern, cozy feel, yet the open windows and door allowed for fresh air to flow in. The location is great as it is right in the heart of downtown. The bartender was friendly, and interacting with people both in and outside the bar. As for the drink, I had the White Squirrel. It tasted smooth and like dark chocolate, with alcohol that complimented it perfectly.“
“I’m picky about food quality and service and also because I have some food intolerances - Leo’s was amazing on all fronts. The food was sooo good, they were very helpful at making sure food intolerances were known, the hostess even personally called me to let us know when the table was ready. Definitely will be back often.“
“Great coffee, pastries and to-go snacks. This was an awesome addition to Leicester but like some newer spots they aren't that busy yet. Support local! I really think the owners need to invest in better signs out front to draw in customers.“
