Snacks are available or you are welcome to bring in outside food. Love art? This is an art bar inspired by Bob Ross and the decor does not disappoint. My favorites of the night were Miss No Vagina and Miss Calcutta. Miss Ida Carolina was co-host for the evening and she was really entertaining as well. She asked if we were celebrating any birthdays, anniversaries, etc. 3 of us were celebrating our birthdays. Miss Ida Carolina asked the audience to say something to each of us. One was “Happy Lobotomy” Another was “Happy Vasectomy” And for me they said “Happy Honda Days”Bottom line is if you’re looking for something entertaining and cheap to do while in Asheville on a Saturday night, I highly recommend checking out the drag show at The Odd. Had the Gobi 65; indo-Chinese cauliflower, lightly dusted with red pepper, coriander, and fried, it has some real kick, but the cauliflower is still there, little fresh ginger sticks, jalapeños peppers, 2 dipping sauces, one Soy based and one yogurt based. What a combo. Also, the Malai chicken roll; chicken marinated in yogurt, cardamon, ginger, and garlic, wrapped in a hot buttered nann with slaw, green chutney, cilantro and onions. To die for, the combination of flavors, the quality of the ingredients all come to gather in food perfection. I don't impress easily as a creative chef myself and having traveled the world experienceing so many culinary delights. Yep, this was right up there and right in my backyard.“

“I really wish that I could give Tall John's more than 5 stars because it's perfect. The menu is American classics done with skill and attention to detail. We've been twice in one week and every single dish is delicious. The tartare comes with crackers that have been lovingly fried and aren't the least big greasy as well as a whole pile of fresh soft herbs and the pan sauce from the roast chicken is good enough to drink. We are extremely particular about cocktails and these have clearly been meticulously fine tuned. They come ice cold in chilled glasses and it is deeply satisfying. I think you can always tell when staff like working at a restaurant and the staff seems relaxed and happy. Service is just as good as the food. I described a salad I'd seen someone eating on a previous visit to our server and he said he was pretty sure it was the "very good green salad." After he brought it and I'd had some he said "is that the salad you dreamed of?" We wish service would be like this everywhere and all these details will keep us coming back again and again.“

It's like drinking a bottle of the hottest hot sauce you can imagine. I can barely taste the cider over the scorpion pepper flavor. In other words, I have found my happy place.“

We learned what it took to make a screen print and then did a couple test tries on paper before moving to a shirt. “Amazing bar if you have dogs. This is a fenced in area to bring your dogs and enjoy an adult beverage stage. The area is fenced in and dogs run off leash and play with other dogs. No kids allowed. All dogs must have updated vaccines of rabies, bordetella, and distemper. $10 per dog per day. They offer snacks at bar and have a food truck off to the side. Parking is free in an area outside the establishment. If you have a friend dog, this is a must! Great place!Also has a dog wash station.“

We ordered the GSW rice bowl added brisket( you can add multiple choice of meat to any dish including tofu for additional cost). The bowl came with a variety of fresh sweet and tangy toppings as well as sweet soy & mayo. The bowl was very filling neither of us could finish. We also ordered the Japanese fries…. These are hands down(deep down to the last one in the big bowl they are served in)delicious with the seasoning they top them with then dipping them in the spicy mayo and sweet soy on the side makes them even better. Taste 10/10, baristas choice with nutmeg, cinnamon, sweetener, walnut, in a flat white, latte art off the chain. House-made creations and flavors. Strong espresso complimented the latte. Love the interior, long high tables and cute elevated table/chair combos. The best part about this place is that you cant go wrong in that their baristas are all very well trained and their offerings are guaranteed to be tasty.Cons: Place is often packed with people sitting down and working so it can be hard to get a table at peak hours. That and while the baristas are very knowledgeable, their attitudes comes across that you are annoying them. Even being said, this is still one of my go-to places in Asheville since their coffee is that good.“
