“Great food, good wine selection. However, if you go on Friday or Saturday night, the music is so loud it's excruciating. It should be more soft acoustic atmosphere so you can enjoy the music and conversation with friends.“

“Love places like this when we are going thru small towns. Kearney did not disappoint. Fun talk with the staff and it was fun when we told them we were rookies. If you are in the area of Lexington you are missing out if you don’t look it up. The pimento cheese burger is the best I’ve had. The 1/2 pound option was my choice however you can have the 1lb option.“

“First time here. Love the hot dogs and the old school vibe thingy going on. Food was great. Great c/s. 2 men cooking were like your favorite uncles. Only disappointment was they don't have Tea. Only canned & bottled sodas. No problem, it's what they choose. Cheerwine in glass was the next best thing. Will be returning“

“Speedy's is the quintessential purveyor of genuine Lexington pork BBQ. In business since 1963, Speedy's serves up arguably the best BBQ you've ever had. Sides like a fabulous cole slaw, baked beans and OMG delicious hush puppies are also on the menu.
This iconic restaurant is not to be missed if your travels bring you within 100 miles of this place. Don't even think about it, just go there and experience this unique Lexington mainstay. On my list of the top ten foods of all time. Awesome vibes.“

“Just happened to drop in to Randys on a roadtrip today - what a great find. Incredibly diverse menu, and everything we had was excellent, very affordable. Teamwork-type service meant that we never had to wait for anything. Great country cooking. Going to seek this place out on future trips.“

“Located in the heart of Tyro, NC.
Their Greek Salad with grilled chicken and their Chicken Caesar Salad are great. The chicken is marinated, seasoned, and grilled, making it savory and juicy.
Their traditional bone-in Buffalo Wings are excellent. The largest wings I've had so far.
Their Strombolis and Calzones are great. Stuffed with your choice of options and baked golden brown. And a large is large. I can eat two to three meals from each.
Update 23Jun2024: If I get a stromboli from here, it is usually the Steak Special Stromboli. But today, I tried the New York Stromboli with ham, pepperoni, cheese, and other stuff with oregano and other spices on the crust. I can mumble, "WOW!" and "YUM!" But I can't say anymore because my mouth is full.“

“Our first time here and oh my gosh. What a great place!! I was so impressed by our waiter, I wish I could remember his name. He was so kind and attentive and gladly answered all my questions.
The food was amazing. I got the BBQ chicken and my husband got that pulled pork plate - HUGE - portions. There was no way I could eat it all. The hush puppies were divine..like straight from heaven. And the sweet tea, was the most perfect southern sweet tea I’ve ever had. Gosh SO good. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Now we gotta come back and try the breakfast next time.“

“Food is delicious every time. Service on the other hand... we got there at 630. Got a table at 720. Half of the tables in resturants were empty, but also it appeared there was a lack of staff, which is everywhere. The section we sat in was waitressed by 2 servers.
We will be going earlier or later next time we visit.“

“I love biscuit king!! Nobody can out-biscuit the king! They have the best biscuits! Sausage biscuit with mayo and pickles is my jam! And a tea. Always great food, normally the service is quick, and the people are friendly! I've been going to biscuit king for almost 40 years, and still love them!“

“We had the best dinner at Outback Salisbury. This our favorite restaurant. Our server, Rachel, was very attentive and courteous. Had a wonderful Valentine dinner with my husband.“

“Post-church we decided to have a late breakfast and drove out to Cagney’s in Granite Quarry. The restaurant focuses primarily on southern fare and we watched a lot of really good looking plates passing by us as we waited for our food. Our table enjoyed eggs prepared a variety of ways, shredded hash browns, cubed potatoes, grits, bacon, turkey sausage, regular sausage, biscuits, and wheat toast. Everything was really good and our waitress did a nice job. The dining area is comfortable, the menu is expansive and they have specials everyday. While we did not get desserts, they have a variety of cakes that looked amazing. Next time!“

“A good value. Large, homemade biscuits. They have lots of options for lunch and dinner. No frozen patties. Good chili. The staff is generally not enthusiastic about their job. Dudes with fingernail polish shouldn't be handing out food unless he/she/they is wearing gloves.“

“I love me some Waffle House! I usually only get breakfast items, but today, because of Savanah (Savi); I ate a great deluxe burger with cheese, bacon and grilled onions, lettuce and pickles with eggs on the side. It was so delicious, fresh and juicy. I didn't know it would be that good!
I really enjoyed talking with the best and personable server I've ever had; very helpful and recommended some great items that I will definitely be back to try! You were awesome, Savi.
