“Went for first time today and ordered shrimp fried rice. I must say it was the best shrimp fried rice I have ever eaten!!! Didn’t need to add anything for flavor or anything and I ate it warm due to having to make a stop before I got home!! I will definitely be back this weekend! A hidden gem for sure“

Even the dishes I am already familiar with have been done just different enough that it's a completely different flavor, in a good way. I have turned my family and coworkers on to this hidden little gem as well. We all love it. If you like heat, anything can be made spicy. Just ask. This has become my new favorite spot. Yet, the China Palace has set my expectations in the clouds. They’ve also set the standard across the board for affordable, quality, delicious, and fresh Chinese food.“

“They do have a few tables for dining there but I had take out. The black pepper chicken is great! It's pretty hot with pepper and it has quite a few veggies which I like. The broccoli and garlic sauce is also great! It's a little bit hot and a little sweet and very flavorful. The fried rice with chicken didn't have the flavor I'm used to for fried rice. They usually have very fast service. I happened to catch them when they were swamped with business.“

“We have eaten carry out here for years and loved it. Today we tried to dine in. They were busy and understaffed. I had to ask for our soups and salads after waiting 30 min. The soup was cold. The brought us hot ones right away. 15 more min passes and no server or food. I asked another waitress to help us. She said the food would be right out. 20 minutes after that, we had just had it with no explanation or food. We left after an hour of waiting. We took our untouched food in to go boxes bc we didn't want to sit there any longer. People were getting seated and served way after us. No compensation was offered. Very disappointing.“

..I grew up in the sardis rd area in 2000 and when we left the hospital in mattews after having my baby in 2010 my 1st meal was best wok II...... “Being coming here for years and the food and customer service has remained the same. Authentic Chinese food, i knew the original owners and he gave it over to his niece. She has kept all the food the same, her and husband have great customer service. I have literally tried everything on the menu and everything has been delicious.“

“I usually go there with my son and husband. All three of us have very different taste. this is the only restaurant we no one has to compromise. We all get exactly what we like. Our son likes Sushi, my husband likes Chinese, I like American. We try to go early because it's cheaper and we get a senior discount as well. we help ourselves to the food so there is no wait time. A refill of your drink is done very quickly. The atmosphere is also very nice. No loud music and the waiters a friendly and polite.“

“I'm working in the Charlotte area and I wanted some Chinese food. There were plenty of options to choose from but this place wasn't far and stood out from the rest. I got sesame chicken with white rice and a shrimp egg roll. My food was ready in 10 mins. I called in and the lady that took my order and gave me my food was very nice and polite. My food was steaming hot, the sesame chicken sauce was perfect and I had some extra to put over my rice. It was everything. Definitely worth the price. I will be back!“

Crab rangoons are absolutely perfect and as we all know that’s hit or miss at restaurants - but here is where you definitely want to get them.

Yes some things like the pu pu platter are greasy but it’s delicious and fun with a ton of variety. I usually won’t eat fried food - this is the exception. The shrimp toasts are awesome. This is only place I’ll eat egg rolls from too. Chicken on a stick is too simple a name for how incredible the taste is.

Anyone who complains it’s cash only doesn’t understand how it benefits customers and the business owners directly. With the way the economy is today, if customers or owners can avoid processing fees, they should. It’s a smart move. Pulling out cash is worth it just to eat here. I didn’t get it before either until I looked into it.

The food is always fresh and stays hot for quite a while. We do live nearby but we’ve gone and done things before getting home or sitting down to eat and it was still like we just picked it up.

I love the curry, seafood delight, and four seasons (the tenderest, juiciest meat ever and veggies are cooked perfectly every time). My partner usually gets general tsos, seseme chicken, or sweet and sour. The portions you get are generous. Sometimes we’ll get other dishes but we do have our favorites. We share from each other’s plates and enjoy a fantastic meal together.

They are good and honest people, the food is amazing and flavorful and fresh with an affordable price point, and it’s worth it to pull out cash for this cash only restaurant.

“We had the most perfectly cooked crab rangoon ever here. That being said, the rest of the food was not that great. What they claimed as "chicken" tasted more like some type of dry stringy turkey. It tasted like instant turkey gravy. Rice was old and hard. Egg rolls were more wrappers than cabbage.“
