“Yall. Simply the best pastries and coffee I’ve had in quite some time! Went to Black Mountain to celebrate my birthday with my daughter & sister. We ordered one of every pastry and had a taste test of 3 items and took home the rest. THEY WERE AMAZING!! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the staff friendly and attentive, and the pastries tasted like they came from a French pastry shop. Will definitely be back soon!”

“Hilltop Ice Cream in Woodfin is legit. The folks here are awesome and super friendly and always down to help you find the best flavor. Now, if you haven’t tried the goat milk cherry ice cream, you’re missing out. It’s crazy creamy, just the right amount of tart, and straight-up delicious.”

“I do not know what culinary sorcery they have used for their pancakes with vanilla bean syrup but l am here for it. Those are the best pancakes I have had in my 50 years of life. The sausage patties, the biscuits and gravy, the holiday mimosas, and the service was unbelievable. Everyone was so friendly and you can tell they all work as a team. We will be back again....and again...and again. :)”

“We came in from out of town to relax and have a drink. I ordered coffee and my wife ordered a martini. We didn’t know that you weren’t able to have alcohol outside (although someone at another table had a martini as well). We had our dogs with us and we apologized profusely when the bar manager Victoria came outside and mentioned it. As we were gathering our things, we could hear her inside talking about how she’s tired of this “sh*t” , telling patrons at the bar. Initially we ignored it since we were trying to have a relaxing time in a new town. She kept on so I went in and asked if she was talking about us loud enough to where we can hear her outside! She apologized and said there are signs on the tables. First of all, there was one sign on a table that was written on what looked like a piece of paper and you could barely read the words. There was NO sign on our table and she said people take them off. I don’t like people insinuating that I’m doing something I didn’t do. We paid a 30 percent gratuity for the service we received and this is the treatment your customers receive?! Unbelievable! I told her it’s probably not in her best interest to insult and berate customers that are spending their hard earned money in your town.”

“We found this after staying at a nearby Airbnb. The staff was very welcoming and shared suggestions on what we might enjoy. We ordered a cinnamon dulce coffee - it was delicious and well balanced in flavors. We also ordered a few scones - they are the best scones we have ever had. The butterscotch flavor was our favorite. Also had a bacon egg cheese croissant and it was incredible. 10/10 and we will definitely be back when we’re in the area.”
