“There's nothing low about this country boil, it is all high caliber. I ordered a sample of all they offered and everything was fresh. Even the andouille sausage's spicy flavor was a pleasant surprise. Quantities were ample. Condiments were provided. Their boil seasoning is steps above Old Bay, with a slight kick depending on how much you use. I utilized their suggestion to use their signature brew for the boiling. On the subject of brews, I partnered this feast with their popular and equally flavorful Taco Life Mexican style lager. On top of everything mentioned, I now have a souvenir bucket in remembrance of a great meal.”

“Lynn did an amazing job cooking for us @ Oak Island very courteous, friendly and made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable! 10 out of 10! We had 13 ppl with 9 lbs of crablegs and 10 adult portions and had a handful of shrimp and fixings left 0 crablegs left 😃 highly recommend!”

“Celebrated my birthday at Salt64 as our first visit to the establishment. Exceptional service, David was an outstanding waiter. Food was delicious, brought promptly to our table still hot and fresh out of the kitchen. Due to its size, when all tables were full it was a bit noisy, but well worth the noise for the food and service. Don't skip dessert!”

“Went here with my family party of 14 for Thanksgiving Buffet and had a great experience. As someone with the a dairy and gluten allergy they accommodated my needs and my daughters! They also have a GF menu. The waiter was super nice she checked the items to make sure I could eat them and even brought me GF and Dairy Free waffles that was not part of the thanksgiving buffet menu. The chef came to check on us a couple of times which was really nice! Great service and food! Thank you!!!”

“⚠️ ‼️Staff needs to be trained on service animal laws and etiquette, most specifically the middle aged brunette woman working the register 🍩The donuts were AMAZING, we didn’t eat any bagels but they looked freshly made and delicious, same for the avacado toast Coffee honestly taste the same no matter what style you get or how many pumps of syrup you request. ☕️”

“Tranquil Harbor is one of our go-to places to eat on the island. We love that we can make a reservation since many places don’t take them. The salmon is incredibly good as is pretty much everything we’ve ever ordered. I’m a super particular person when it comes to restaurant food so you better believe if I’m a repeat customer (dozens of times over), it must be good. Bonus is we have some in our family with sensitive tummies and if anything had ever been off as far as freshness, their guts would’ve let us know. No issues at all. Also we adore the bartender whose name escapes me at the moment. She makes a mean martini and is always friendly and fun.”

“We make going to Swain’s a must do when we vacation at Oak Island. Sometime twice. The Shrimp and Grits are spectacular. The homemade potato chips with ranch dressing is the perfect way to start the meal. The blackened scallops melt in your mouth and explode with flavor. And all of the desserts are over the top. It’s the best place to dine on seafood on the island. You won’t regret it.”

“Great place to go hang out with friends and family. There are a family friendly bar with amazing staff. The bar tenders make sure everyone is taken care of.They offer inside and outside seating. Access directly to the beach to listen to the ocean waves or tons of live music they offer throughout the week. In addition to the bar, next door is a restaurant as well as access to the pier for fishing, walking or just enjoying a beautiful sunset!”

“We had to stop in a few times during our visit. I first tried the Snickers latte which was good and inspired me to try a hand at making a butterfinger version. The ladies there where really nice and helped explore the idea.

We mixed dark chocolate, peanut, and toffee flavors. This worked out pretty well. Next time I might try 1 part dark chocolate, 2 parts peanut, and 2 parts tofee to get more of the center of a butterfinger taste. Look forward to trying next year!”

“Pros: Great customer service, nice personality, food pretty good, corn ribs amazing! Cons: took about an hour to wait in line and receive food. Online ordering down, didn’t answer their phones. I think I had 2 little shrimp in my shrimp taco – portions pretty small. Didn’t give us the burrito we ordered. Might try again next year for lunch.”
