“My wife & I ate breakfast there 5/10/24….I didn’t get the waitress’s name. Service was good. The food was delicious, my wife got blueberry French toast & I got a bacon,egg & provolone cheese croissant along with a side bowl of milk gravy both meals were delicious !! We would highly recommend !! Thank you Purple Onion for a great experience !! Yes, we even took home some baked goods !! Yummy !! May God bless y’all !! ❤️❤️”

“I haven't played there after the greens were punched a few weeks ago. I made the tee time with Andrew at the pro shop on the phone. A very nice young man, Andrew. He then called me right back after my initial call to inform me that he neglected to inform me about the greens being punched. Out here, you're lucky to be informed about any concerns on the course condition. Excellent Customer Service. Thank you, Andrew, for your concern about the fact I was aware, so I might have an enjoyable round. I'll let you know tomorrow about the course, which is always in pristine condition as well as challenging. It's one of my favorites.”

“Let me start off by saying that my family travels a lot all over the country and it's hard to find genuine and friendly people in the restaurant business anymore. Trust me, I get it. Dealing with the public can be taxing, I get it. BUT, this little place didn't just meet my expectations but exceeded with the kindness and friendliness of the owner and the waitresses. We brought our two Boston terriers to dine with us because we are from out of town and didn't want to leave them behind. I wish I had asked the name of the guy running the place (assumably the owner?), but he was so kind to our dogs and brought them water, talked to them and talked to us as if he'd known us for years. The waitress reminded me of someone out of movie who was classy, professional and cared about the experience. The wine was good, food was amazing and overall could have sat there all day. Will be back and will bring Charlie and Bo with us.”

“If I could give a 10 rating 10 times I would! I ordered a 20-person package of bbq & chicken with slaw & potato salad. It was delicious & included iced tea, cups, paper plates, napkins, utensils, bbq sauce, hush puppies, & even salt & pepper…….plus ice. I couldn’t have asked for better food & service…….it was ready at pick-up time & rolled out on a cart with help to load into my car. I would definitely recommend this for a crowd & will definitely do this again!! Thank you, Smithfield’s in Shallotte!!!!”

“We have had issues finding places we like (a lot of the places around her have been bland). We came from an area where we were pretty spoiled with great restaurants and Wing & Fish has been the only place so far that is comparable. We have been here three times so far and they have been very consistent each time. The food is great, and the staff are friendly and attentive.”

“Stopped by here tonight on the way back to SC. We tried the corn ribs as an appetizer and they were AMAZING! We ordered the brisket, the Brisket Burger and the “Not Shrimp and Grits” which I HIGHLY recommend!!!!!!! The restaurant is very clean and the waitress was great! Service was fast also! If you’re in this area I definitely recommend you trying this restaurant. Not sure why it has the low ⭐️’s because I rate it as ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Walked in & was greeted with a smiling face. Placed our order & was correct with our individual requests. The burger was cooked to perfection (done & juicy)! We ordered a shake & that was brought to our table after we got our food so it was “just made” & not runny. A great visit!”

“Cookout is an easy, quick, reliable meal when you need fast food. What sets this Cookout apart and makes it exceptional is the friendly service. I don’t go there often enough to know the menu and Yaya was helpful with my questions, so friendly, and patient! My Walking Taco was delish with fresh jalapeños and everyone else loved their trays! Yaya makes Shallotte Cookout exceptional!”
