“Went to this location for the first time to try viva chicken with my husband! We were greeted but the most wonderful person at the counter. she was friendly and very personable. I had never gone to a viva chicken so I wanted something they didn’t have on today’s menu but She made sure to recommend me something just as good. she was very welcoming and cheery! we loved the food so much and will be back. while we ate Miss Sarah I believe was her name; came out and asked us how our food was. that was above and beyond for me. I n not much of a reviewer but when the service is good and so is the food you have to say something!! We had Cole as our server and regardless of how busy it was that night, he made us feel like we were his only priority. He was very knowledgeable about your massive spirit selections and I mean massive! The food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. We got the Really Good Burger and let me tell you, we said medium and it was on point! It was very well seasoned which is rare when you go out to restaurants. Then to top off the night, my daughter got the beignets with the cold brew icing, WOW! I am a sweets person and these with that icing just WOW! Cole even put a candle on the rim of the dish because it was her birthday! So, you have our business any time we are in Charlotte! I just can’t say enough about our experience!!! You have a great place, amazing food, a wonderful spirits collection, and definitely not last or least a fantastic server in Cole!! “I had the pleasure of eating here for the first time last night with my brother and his girlfriend. We had the best experience! Our server Laney was wonderful- super friendly and attentive. The GM was extremely personable and was taking to the time to check on each table multiple times and connect with them personally. The food and drinks were great- I had an espresso martini and the steak and arugula flat bread. For dessert, the fluffer nutter martini and all were delicious! The food was awesome (I had Jalapeno Poppers and Peter Piper burger), and so was the beer selection (I had a really good blonde ale (cannot recall the name unfortunately)). Service was great, and washrooms were clean. The place has a really cool vibe to it, looks like one would feel at home there while watching sports on one of the many screens.“

That star has long faded and what's left is an exhausted afterglow of oversalted deviled eggs, tasteless catfish, and reduced menu options. Even the cushions on the seats were flat, their softness consumed in years upon years of use. I long for the old days, when this place was full of energy and potential. The owners should reopen the place after extensive remodel, restroom upgrade, and renewal of the menu. Reclaim your crown New South!“
