“Went to this location for the first time to try viva chicken with my husband! We were greeted but the most wonderful person at the counter. she was friendly and very personable. I had never gone to a viva chicken so I wanted something they didn’t have on today’s menu but She made sure to recommend me something just as good. she was very welcoming and cheery! we loved the food so much and will be back. while we ate Miss Sarah I believe was her name; came out and asked us how our food was. that was above and beyond for me. Namely, The Jekyll Burger, was delicious and unique with the pimento cheese and pepper jelly. I ordered a medium rare steak with sides, of which the steak was cooked exceptionally, much talent! I would recommend you check this place out. My only suggestion is to have smaller plate ware for the steaks, to increase the perception of more food and the mashed potatoes and asparagus could've been more heavily seasoned, though that's my opinion. I thought it was lackluster compared to their burger and salad entree. Great location, lots of shops and nice places to sit or walk around after a meal.“

“I had the pleasure of eating here for the first time last night with my brother and his girlfriend. We had the best experience! Our server Laney was wonderful- super friendly and attentive. The GM was extremely personable and was taking to the time to check on each table multiple times and connect with them personally. The food and drinks were great- I had an espresso martini and the steak and arugula flat bread. For dessert, the fluffer nutter martini and all were delicious! Cannot recommend this place enough and can’t wait to go back :)“

“Tired. Salty. Great service. This establishment began it's life as a inspired salute to Southern cuisine. That star has long faded and what's left is an exhausted afterglow of oversalted deviled eggs, tasteless catfish, and reduced menu options. Even the cushions on the seats were flat, their softness consumed in years upon years of use. I long for the old days, when this place was full of energy and potential. The owners should reopen the place after extensive remodel, restroom upgrade, and renewal of the menu. Reclaim your crown New South!“

“Great place to go for the best chopped salad. All ingredients are fresh. Wide selection of salads and ability to add additional items if wanted. Very clean. Pleasant staff. A must go place for salads. User friendly app to order and pay ahead. Great location in Blakeney Shopping Center. Definitely a place to return again and again as I do. My favorite is the California Steakhouse salad and I do the add ins for a Southwest twist.“

“Oh my gosh if I could give this place 1 million stars I would! My son wanted his 8th birthday here badly. I called and spoke with Julie and she answered all my questions & was super helpful with suggestions. The day of the party Hilary made our desert platter with the funfetti cake bites and candy and it was SO delicious. I can’t rave enough about the cake bites, honestly everyone of my guests loved them! We had the tots fries, chicken tenders and ravioli (fried) and it was all so amazing and surprisingly fed a lot of people for what I ordered. They didn’t try to upsell me but guided me on what would reasonably work for how many people. The lady at the front desk was super sweet and helpful too! It was a blast for the kids AND adults!!
