“Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and craft beer on tap! My family and I love this place. My only complaint would be that last time we were here, someone at the table next to us had a dog in a tote bag that was most definitely NOT a service animal. Not one staff member said anything to her. This is a problem for me as I suffer from severe animal allergies. In addition, I don’t feel it is sanitary to bring animals in an establishment where food is being sold/served. Like I said, we love this place, but if this becomes a habit we will have to find another place to go. ☹️“

“The lady's always make you feel welcome and will fix you anything on the menu. It's all good. I haven’t had anything there I haven't liked. The cheeseburger lettuce, tomato and mayo is my favorite cooked medium with extra crispy fries and a good cold Pepsi makes it all so good. COME ON OVER AND GET YOU SOME BREAKFAST OR LUNCH. “Finally received a few shots from our special day at Zimmerman Vineyards! We gave ourselves four months to plan a wedding, while living two hours away, which was a feat in itself. We couldn’t have made it happen without the help from the entire Zimmerman team. We wanted our ceremony in the woods and they worked diligently at all hours to make that happen. They listened to all of our wants with care and were open to any ideas. Any questions I had were answered immediately and professionally. The ceremony site exceeded our expectation’s. The entire vineyard is breathtaking. The seclusion it provides makes you feel like you’re stepping into a different world. I can’t rant nor rave about them enough! They went above and beyond throughout the entire day ready to assist making our special day more beautiful than I could ever imagine. Their wine selection is incredible! We ended up purchasing a few cases for the guests but had to go back near the end to purchase a few bottles for ourselves to celebrate each anniversary for the coming years. If you’re looking for a venue for your special day I would recommend Zimmerman Vineyards a million times over. Family and friends are still reaching out to us about how beautiful the wedding and venue was. We can’t thank the entire team enough!“

“This place is my favorite restaurant. The staff is wonderful. The food is always amazing. I went to an expensive Teppanyaki restaurant in Winston this weekend and I was surprised when I realized that the food at Carolina Sakura was better. Everything is good but I would get the Teriyaki chicken hibachi meal. Also, there’s something about the rice. It’s so good I think about it all the time.“

“Have been a few times over the years with really mixed reviews, a lot of what I've had has been hit or miss, this last trip however however has changed my view and hopefully will show some promise for future brews! I've on average rated what I've tried 2-3 range at most except for a rare 3.5/4 for a sour, but their gose was not bad at all and the dually loaded DIPA (and I am NOT an IPA person) is DELICIOUS, by far the best beer I've had from them! I hope to see this level of quality in future beers!“

They offer many lunch menu options, so there’s plenty to choose from, and the restaurant has plenty of seating which made for a comfortable dining experience. Outdoor seating is available as well.“

“I thought I would never again taste food like my Aunt Hattie made it, but today a friend took me to University Kitchen for lunch, and I had green beans, stewed cabbage, fried chicken livers, and cornbread. It was like going back in time to my Aunt Hattie's kitchen and once again tasting good old country cooking at its best. They have managed to keep those great vintage recipes alive, and I now have a new favorite restaurant. Everyone who worked there was amiable and on top of service. It was great!“

“TERRIBLE. Went there for birthday celebration. Took 45 minutes for waitress to take our order. Husband got skunky beer. Food came out a couple at a time with about 5 minutes in between (there were 12 of us but there were only about 8 other people in the restaurant). My 4 year old granddaughter ordered pasta and marinara. After everyone else finally got their food I asked the waitress where her food was. Her reply: we don’t have any marinara, here’s some macaroni and cheese. She never said they didn’t have what she ordered and never asked what else she wanted. I never received a refill of my soda in the 2 hours we were there. And finally, it took the waitress another 30 minutes to take care of the tab. To top it off the food was mediocre at best“

“The building and inside dining area appeared clean and well-kept when I walked in. I stopped by to grab a tuna sub, and the sandwich itself tasted pretty good and hit the spot.
However, there were a couple of things that kept this from being a top-notch experience. First, My server wouldn't let me use my coupon because they already had a daily special running, which felt a bit restrictive since you'd expect to be able to use a valid coupon anytime before the expiration date. The service was okay and the person making the sandwich was polite enough, but the transaction felt a little rushed and hurried through.
Down on the food line, I also noticed that some of the ingredient containers weren't completely filled up. No matter what time a customer walks through the door, those bins should look fresh, stocked, and ready to go.
Overall, the food is good and the place is clean, but the rushed pace and the empty containers mean it doesn't quite hit that highest mark. It’s a fair, decent spot, but there’s room for improvement on staying on top of the food line.“
