“We’ve passed by so many times and always see a bunch of cars. We finally stopped in last night and we are so glad we did. Drinks were great, our server was fantastic. I think her name was Gretta. She gave us food suggestions and was very attentive. Food was great. Hubby had the Sea Bass special and I had the pork belly and scallops. Both delicious. The baklava pie was out of this world. I think we will be stopping by again while we are visiting. Highly recommended. Lots of people waiting for a table and take out. We loved the vibe and decor.“

“Great food, service, & beer selection! The fried pepperoni & cheese curds were delicious. My wife liked the firecracker shrimp Alfredo, but said it had some spice. The Greek platter was amazing as well. I got the combination to try both the lamb & chicken. The chicken tasted like souvlaki & was good, but I favored the lamb. I typically would order an old fashioned, but they did not have large blocks of ice. Given what Helene’s impact on western NC, I was happy to see this restaurant thriving & folks in good spirit. This place is a gem for the community, and I highly recommend.“

“We were visiting family in the area and they took us to Soba. On the way back home to VA we couldnt stop talking about how great the sushi was. Our waitress Bee was also amazing. We can’t wait for our next visit to go back!“

Pecan honey bar: ask to have it warmed. Very rich. Good taste but mostly just tastes like honey.
Breakfast chorizo burrito: very good! Sausage has a strong taste, highly recommend.
Chocolate croissant: has chocolate on the inside, light and fluffy croissant. Very tasty.
Breakfast croissant: fresh and light. The tomato gave it a good fresh taste. If you want a light breakfast but filling, this is recommend.
Strawberry flavor in the latte was a huge hit with my party.
I wish they had some of the patties cut in half to see what the inside looked like, such as the eclair. ITS HUGE!
Fast pace environment like most coffee shops right downtown. Plenty of seating inside and a few seats outside if you want to tan in the direct sunlight.“

“We stopped here for breakfast at apx 11 am this morning, 07/07/23. We sat at the counter due to all seats being taken, busy place. Service was great, food was excellent, staff were all friendly and helpful and the camaraderie among them was easy and comfortable . The two 'grillmasters 'Bob' and ? sorry I forgot to ask her name ..were amazing to watch. 8 plates up and no tickets, mind boggling. “One of the guys showing folk to their tables was very rude, yeah, you know who you are! Everyone else was great and food was good. If you show up before your party don't ask to get a table and for sure when the rude table guy says you have to wait don't ask him to explain. I've eaten there many times but I think I'll go somewhere else from now on. Maybe the guy just had a bad day, who knows. I know losing my limited business won't hurt them but I'd rather be somewhere appreciated.“

“my friends and I visited Monday after the herb festival and had the best food of our whole trip at Chestnut! they had the Eggs Benedict and I chose the burger gluten free. all our meals were amazing and the care our waitress put into asking about my gluten issues was so appreciated! “Visited on my most recent trip to Asheville and was probably one of the best meals on the trip. We got a variety of different arepas(including a vegetarian), yucca fries and corn fritters. The yucca fries were by far my favorite of the sides, the vegetarian arepa was delicious but would have been a little elevated by a crunchy element. My sister got the Ropa Vieja and thought it was delish but would have liked a fresh element to top the dish like cabbage. The Pernil arepa was also a favorite but a little more sauce on the top would have put the dish over the top!
Overall, definitely worth a trip but don’t be surprised if you have to wait a couple minutes for a seat as there is limited seating inside. Service was great and they were very attentive.“

“We chose Posana, where we had eaten before, based on past experiences and the gluten free menu. It involved a birthday, but we try to lowkey those, especially as we get older. Our server, Allie, and her trainee went the extra mile to give excellent service and make us feel very welcome. There were several other dietary restrictions which were easily accommodated. The kale salad and both entrees were quite good. There was even a dessert that was tweaked a bit so I could enjoy it which is usually not true in most restaurants. We were in the front part of the dining room which was somewhat quieter, but it was a Saturday night so there was a full house and the noise that comes with it. They did acknowledge the occasion with a card signed by the employees ( fun to imagine them lined up to do that). We had not been to Posana much this year as we are a bit last minute, so reservations (necessary during tourist season) were a problem. However, we plan to return in the near future. I would strongly recommend it which I don't do often.“

The brewery was easy to get to, had lots of parking & there was a small local band playing when I arrived. Sky was my very friendly bartender. I asked for a beer suggestion than was on the lighter side. He suggested the Cowboy Poet. He was spot on. I also ordered food from the pizza place. Was really delicious. “Server was an older woman who was down right rude. She brought our food and I reminded her of my biscuit. She snapped at me that I hadn't ordered one- even though we had had a discussion about flavor of jelly- to which she replied "whatever". As she marched away I said to my daughter that I guess she didn't want her tip. She did bring the biscuit and did try to be overly nice, which felt very insincere., almost sarcastic. She had ruined our little celebration brunch with her absolutely awful attitude. I used to love this place.“

“An offshoot of Mamacita’s, Taco Temple retains the same focus on homemade Mexican eats. The offerings are a bit fancier than you might find at a typical taco joint but not to the point of pretentiousness (they also have breakfast tacos for those who are up early enough). While it occupies a smallish space, Taco Temple does offer a cool vibe, including a vintage Corona machine.

My wife and I opted for a trio of tacos plus guac to go. Our order was ready on-time, and one look at the homemade blue corn tortillas made us anxious to dig in. The tacos were generally tasty and delivered distinct flavors: the loreto (tangerine-pasilla shrimp) was spicy and tangy while the Santa Barbara (ancho-brown sugar rubbed steak) was smoky and slightly sweet. The panela (panela cheese, poblano, black bean, pickled onion) included too much pickled onion and too little cheese, however. The chips, guac, and tomatillo salsa were solid complements to the meal.

Taco Temple may or may not make you a convert, but it’s worth at least one pilgrimage.“

Ordered a loaded steak & cheese philly; much to my delight it was simply delicious. One of the best I've had in a long, long time! Others in our group ordered st & ch subs & gyro's; all were very impressed by the taste, quality & price of the food; Bravo Mike's!!“
