“Great food, service, & beer selection! The fried pepperoni & cheese curds were delicious. My wife liked the firecracker shrimp Alfredo, but said it had some spice. The Greek platter was amazing as well. I got the combination to try both the lamb & chicken. The chicken tasted like souvlaki & was good, but I favored the lamb. I typically would order an old fashioned, but they did not have large blocks of ice. Given what Helene’s impact on western NC, I was happy to see this restaurant thriving & folks in good spirit. This place is a gem for the community, and I highly recommend.“

“My husband and I along with our son stopped here to check out the pastries as I love anything sweet. There was a short line but it moved quickly. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A very pleasant young man took our order. One of the locals standing beside us in line recommended the mountain eclair so we did order one along with a variety of cheesecake, cookies and a couple of pies. We waited just a few minutes for our order to be packed up. The inside is very charming with lots of wood and marble. I liked the open display case, so that we could see all of the pastries. Every single item we ate was delicious, and I would definitely recommend visiting this bakery anytime you’re near Asheville or the surrounding towns. The bakery is very clean, the staff is very nice and seem to work well together, and all of the food we had was excellent! 10/10!!“

“We stopped here for breakfast at apx 11 am this morning, 07/07/23. We sat at the counter due to all seats being taken, busy place. Service was great, food was excellent, staff were all friendly and helpful and the camaraderie among them was easy and comfortable . The two 'grillmasters 'Bob' and ? sorry I forgot to ask her name ..were amazing to watch. 8 plates up and no tickets, mind boggling. “One of the guys showing folk to their tables was very rude, yeah, you know who you are! Everyone else was great and food was good. If you show up before your party don't ask to get a table and for sure when the rude table guy says you have to wait don't ask him to explain. I've eaten there many times but I think I'll go somewhere else from now on. Maybe the guy just had a bad day, who knows. I know losing my limited business won't hurt them but I'd rather be somewhere appreciated.“

“What a great place to celebrate our birthdays. Two from KY and two from Augusta GA to enjoy celebrating all four of us having birthdays. Stuart who waited on us was EXCELLENT. We asked him about the damage to Asheville and we could hear it in his voice how hurt he was because others suffered so much. He was very gracious that we chose Asheville to celebrate our birthdays. I had the best shrimp and grits ever and I'm 73. Every meal the fried oysters, salads, Reuben Sandwich there is no negative experience. I hesitated to order the banana pudding but was intrigued by the description. So glad I did, it was so different than what I've ever had but the BEST I've ever had. Thank you to everyone working that day on 1/22 that wished us Happy Birthdays and made this such a wonderful memory for all 4 of us. Very welcoming, great personalities but above all GREAT FOOD.“

“If visiting in winter, be aware that there are only like 8 indoor seats so you either hope to get lucky or get takeout. The arepa itself (not even talking about the toppings) is outstanding. The portion is generous so one order of arepa is enough for a meal (for me at least). Tasty nonalcoholic drink options.“

“If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I took my husband here for his birthday dinner last night, & we definitely felt like we had a culinary experience! The drinks we spectacular & affordable. We did the chef tasting for dinner, & the staff made it like telling a story through food. Our server Jesse G was so personable, animated, made great recommendations, & very attentive to us the entire meal. Okay, so just about the food. We are total foodies, especially on a vacation/for a special occasion like this. We loved unqiue, tasty foods, & occasionally enjoy a more fine dining experience. Our meal at Ukiah was that & more! It was served in 10 small plate courses. They spaced each dish, timed them perfectly, & each dish built on the last in such a way that was truly amazing. Just when we thought the last one was our favorite, the next one was as good or better. The vanilla, almond, coconut cake with house ice cream finisher almost wrecked me lol! I could have licked the plate clean, but I was honestly too full to commit that hard. Every staff member that brought us a dish, refilled our drinks, cleared our table, etc were so friendly. Jesse (funny enough, also my husband's name & same spelling) was one of the best waiter's we've had, but also the kind of person you just want to be friends with after you eat & go hang out at the bar or something. It is definitely a higher end restaurant, but for the experience & service, it is well worth the money! We hope to return some day for sure!“

Do glad we did. \n\nThey were quite full/busy but they fit us in and were very kind and gracious about it. \n\nThe entire experience was special. About four different staff members checked on us throughout our evening. \n\nTheir knowledge of the menu was incredible, and especially their very extensive wine list. \n\nWe started with their “Darling” bread and butter. Absolutely amazing. I would have been happy with just that. \n\nTheir offerings of different locally grown greens was amazing. \n\nWe had the lamb kebabs and rabbit pasta for our main. If you love beer or cocktails and you need an early dinner, this is a great happy hour. You can get a huge chicken sandwich that tastes high quality for $9 or a delicious burger for $12. Drinks range from $3 - $10. They have plenty of cocktail and beer options during the happy hour as well. The only thing I wish they did was a red and white house wine with the happy hour menu as well. Other than that this is perfect for people who want a fancy delicious experience without the high price tag.

Favorite spot to sit at is the bar area where Ian provides wonderful service! The mustard based potato salad side and hush puppies a great addition. “Was so happy we stopped in this time cause we couldn't get in 2020. Service top in class and Jordan was amazing behind the bar. We decided to do the trick tower seafood tower and well worth the money despite other reviews on it. Never thought I would go the the mans and order seafood but it was like we were on the coast. The brewery was easy to get to, had lots of parking & there was a small local band playing when I arrived. Sky was my very friendly bartender. I asked for a beer suggestion than was on the lighter side. He suggested the Cowboy Poet. He was spot on. I also ordered food from the pizza place. Was really delicious. “December 30th, 2025: We had the most nice experience, and it was all thanks to our server! A group of 7 of us went out for very late lunch lunch, but it became dinner, and experience is above, and beyond to make sure our night was perfect. The staff was so kind, respectful, and attentive, checking on us frequently and making sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the atmosphere was fantastic—but what truly made the evening unforgettable was staff. The place brought such positive energy and made our entire group feel so well cared for. If I could rate 4+ stars, I would. We had 2 Cuban Sandwiches, comes with chips, we also shared a Mac&Cheese between my wife, and me; Our two daughters shared 1 pot roast, a brisket with mac&cheese; our grand son had the ribeye steak, my son in law had a steak sandwich, my granddaughter had chicken tenders with french fries! “This is my favorite brewery in Asheville. We fell in love with this brewery their first time we visited. Beers are creative and dark beers so delicious. And the food is to die for. Last evening Steak Po-Boy is simply the best we have ever had! Absolutely gourmet food in this brewery. We consider this as our dinner place and not just a brewery. This is THE must visit brewery for all our visitors. The venue is casual with quirky spots and many different hangout areas. We have huddled with friends in the winter months under shelter, enjoy music in the lower zone, hang out in the rooftop areas or just in the many tables around. We like the sister Forestry Camp too.“

She snapped at me that I hadn't ordered one- even though we had had a discussion about flavor of jelly- to which she replied "whatever". As she marched away I said to my daughter that I guess she didn't want her tip. She did bring the biscuit and did try to be overly nice, which felt very insincere., almost sarcastic. She had ruined our little celebration brunch with her absolutely awful attitude. I used to love this place.“
