“We went Friday eve & they were Packed! Didn’t think wld be able to eat & make our movie but Jess was very great at controlling the situation & getting everyone a seat as soon as able. She even went out of her way to keep us happy by getting a drink brght from bar for me while we waited. After seated service was great, fast & food well cooked & delicious! Needless to say, we made our movie on time with full bellies!! Thank u!!”

“I got married at Moonlight Ridge and would do it over and over again! Darin and Karen were easy to work with and were happy to answer any questions I had through my engagement and wedding planning. They were able to recommend other businesses in the area to work with that they personally trusted and appreciated the results of. When it came to the days leading up to the wedding, they took care of many logistical things were I would not have known where to start-how many chairs at each table, how many tables to have out, what arrangement of ceremony chairs would be best. During our reception they took care of the head table when it was time to open up the dance floor, and even opened up the south doors to expose another deck covered in vines and lights (the perfect spot for our last dance). Not only is the venue beautiful, I have personally seen the improvements they continue to make to their venue year after year. They have added a fountain, beautiful trees and landscaping, and have updated even their tables in the pavilion. They truly care about continuing to give their customers the best experience. And last but not least, their wine is pretty spectacular. Many of our guests left with their own bottles, and I know that even more guests enjoyed a glass of Moonlight Ridge wine during our reception. I am SO glad I picked Moonlight Ridge and would do so again without any hesitation!”

Man... this stop was spot on. Loving folks, owner and staff. PLUS the locals.. we had a ball sitting there visiting with everyone... Solo, I made a trip thru Grand Island at a later date, so made a point to stop in. They remembered me... it had been nearly a year since was there. Guess what... we junk jaunted again this year, stopped in and hugs, caught up on things, like ole home week.. Oh dang, almost forgot ....THE FOOD.... totally perfect....the cook is amazing... and the PIES.... OMG.... out of this world good.... home made with LOVE mixed all over. Of the meals I;ve eaten there.... each one I say is the best, till I have the next one and then its the bestest... MHO: Skip the fast food joints, who don't care who you are... sit down, relax, enjoy the company, eat some wonderful food that is home cooked,made to order..... and actually, easy on the pocket book.... ...Never know who u mite meet, or become friends with while your enjoying a rush free meal.... “We have ate here multiple times. The food is so fresh with wonderful flavors. The service is excellent. The staff is so friendly, curious and gives wonderful recommendations. They have a wonderful restaurant, we will be returning frequently. We had the vermicelli noodle bowl, crispy noodles and we may have devoured the spring rolls before I got a picture.”

“My sister and I stopped for dinner in GI expecting a long wait time given the amount of cars in the parking lot. The staff at the front desk greeted us when we walked in and sat us immediately. Our server, Sheri, was the most attentive and knowledgeable we’ve had at any restaurant hands-down. She knew the menu like she had been born with it, was as attentive as a personal butler, and was as friendly and personable as if she was our best friend we’d brought with us. I ordered the five cheese ziti al forno and my sister ordered ravioli carbonara with meatballs. We asked for the salad with several exclusions and all of our dishes came out perfect. Sheri checked in on us several times, refilling drinks and bringing more breadsticks (because what is an Olive Garden meal without breadsticks) and making sure we were enjoying our meals, spaced out enough that we didn’t feel ignored or annoyed. The facilities were clean and the music was the perfect volume where you could hear those around you but also enjoy the music. Highly recommend this location and if you’re stopping, ask for Sheri!”

“stopped in tonight like we usually do for wings every Wednesday I didnt even catch the girls name who went over to our table because my 4 year old is a picky eater and we had got McDonald's for her so she can eat there, because when we've got her food from Balz she will not eat anything, she rudely told us we couldn't have outside food and of course I wasnt going to have my 4 year old daughters food thrown away or not have her eat while the 3 of us ate. We surely will not be back and make sure to tell our friends who started going to Balz because of us to go back.”

I was so pleasantly surprised! First, the service was amazing. I can't eat dairy and the person who took our order gladly looked it up for me. The butterfly shrimp basket with cocktail sauce was delicious! When we arrived to pick up our order, the dining room was full of happy locals. Service was prompt and friendly, and everything was reasonably priced. Do yourself a favor and stop here instead of a chain!”

When we checked out the lady at the register hardly spoke to us and when we ask for a muffin to take home she proceeded to sack up a muffin for us - without any conversation whatsoever - then she decided to fill the cinnamon rolls before bringing out muffin to us and ringing up or ticket. Still not a word she gives my 86 year old Mom her change and say “have a good day”. My take on this Perkins -Great wait staff and food - crabby , inpatient, unhappy front of the house.”

“As with all of the buffets in Grand Island, you expect mediocre food, and as long at it's hot, that's good enough. Typically, this place keeps the food hot. The egg drop soup is excellent.

That said... You don't expect the big screen TV right in front of your face to be showing hunters killing, disemboweling, skinning, and cooking various animals, such as orangutans. Not just an overview either, the close ups of the face of the deceased animal, organs being pulled out, a zooming in of the inside of the spread out rib cage... Seriously, no one wants to watch that while they eat. I'd have loved to have just looked away, but when it's right there, the movement catches the eye. Maybe choose more neutral things to show in the dining area?”
