“Arriving we were met with friendly smiling hosts. We were offered inside or out but decided we didn’t need to wait for out when we could sit in the lounge which was basically open air (the wall opens onto the deck). Beautiful view of the river and tugs. Our waitress Mikayla (sp?) was super sweet and attentive. We never waited for a drink refill or to order more food. She was knowledgeable about the menu both food and drink. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the fish and chips and we ate our weight in oysters. Ten out of ten recommend ✌🏻❤️“

The food was GREAT, I got the fisherman’s platter and shared it with my friend and it was still enough for a meal!! If you are ever in Portsmouth you had better come here!! “Wonderful old-school, Old-Maine place - "Lobsters in the Rough" like we used to have. Ambience - totally relaxed, right on the water. Food - Menu has good variety, the lobsters come in daily, cooked just right. The view across the river to Portsmouth is like no other, plus the river traffic and bridge openings, lobster boats, big ships, tugs, you name it. River breezes tend to keep things a little cooler. “We looked at a lot of different restaurant options for dinner. I’m so glad we decided on Old Ferry Landing!!!! The food was fantastic!!! Drinks were summery and unique 🧉🍹 The lobster bisque was the best I’ve ever had!!!! And there was a great amount of lobster meat in it. I tried a bite of my boyfriend’s clam chowder as well which was also delicious but the bisque was 🤤😍 We will definitely be back!!!! Our waitress was very attentive and so sweet!!! It was so nice to dine at a place that’s been around for 50 years. I hope Old Ferry Landing is around for 50 more!!! 🦞“

“I have been eating there for years. I went the other night because I was craving scallops. I got my usual scallops and tried to substitute o-rings for fries. The girl told me it wasn't allowed. No substitutions. I was willing to pay for the upgrade. No go. I live in the area and there are a lot of other options which I'll be trying.“

“Great view when sitting outside. The food was tasty but not to die for. My fries had good seasoning, but they were a tad cold. The crab cake sandwich had bacon on it and a great texture. Also, the waitress was friendly and prompt at serving us.“

“From the start I felt I was walking into a dream. Beautiful and unexpected decor. Stylish, Upscale, Modern. Not what I'm familiar with in most Asian restaurants. Enchanting and romantic.

As they say, 'you eat with your eyes first', and right off the bat, my eyes were telling me we were about to dive into something flavorful, delicious and satifying.
The Pho noodle bowl with shrimp was steaming and presented with a side of garnishes; basil, mint, jalapeno, bean sprouts, lime wedges and a little dish of the best house made hot sriracha. Wow! Packed a flavor-filled punch. We used every bit of it. (Will take tums later).
The grilled lemongrass chicken thighs were juicy and so, so good. Excellent alongside a perfect bowl of garlic ftied rice.

The servers were so friendly and helpful when we asked questions about origins of some of the dishes.

If I lived anywhere near this place it would be a frequent dining choice.
Or even to come for cocktails. The bar is stunning. We had a 3 hour drive to home ahead of us so we couldn't induge. But, if they put as much care into making a good drink as they do into everything else, I'm certain it's worth a visit to just relax and enjoy a drink while sitting at the gorgeous bar.

I hope we travel this way again soon. Will be a top choice on my list of dining places to enjoy.“

“I work at the Moffatt-Ladd House across the street and have been meaning to come over and experience their menu, as we often have overlapping customers. Our host sat us right away, drinks were fabulous, and all the meals were absolutely amazing! (I had the caribbean grilled swordfish.) My mom had been here with her parents in college in the early 80s and clearly Casey is carrying the mantle well. Thank you especially to our server, Rachel!“

“Traveled out to Portsmouth from Wisconsin. Sick of seafood, best burger I have ever had on the east coast. Lots of tv’s to watch the games. Friendly people. Highly recommend you give it a try. Will try their lobster roll though before leaving. Had some delicious apple crisp for desert.“
