We were able to bring a cake from outside in for a birthday celebration which our server brought to us ready to serve and sing! The Hospitality was excellent along with our dinners. My only negative comment is the safety of the staircase to upstairs, railings on both sides are needed, an elevator would be better.“

Have always had access to the freshest possible seafood. I won't even eat any fried seafood while Lena's is closed for the winter. There is one other place that is very good but their prices are insane! The family that owns the place is fantastic...as is the staff. They even helped out my mother with the mercy meal after my father's memorial. Just to give you an idea how good it is. I will eat there at least 3 times the week they open....and I do the same the week they close.“

“Last night we had dinner at the Purple Urchin and had a great experience. We were seated by a very nice young lady in a window seat, which was awesome.

Then we were greeted by Noah, who was very pleasant. He took our order, smiled, and so friendly. THANK YOU!!

We ordered a beer, Coconut shrimp, lobster Rangoon's, and pretzel bites. Everything was PERFECT!! We cleaned the plates for sure.

“Wonderful old-school, Old-Maine place - "Lobsters in the Rough" like we used to have. Ambience - totally relaxed, right on the water. Food - Menu has good variety, the lobsters come in daily, cooked just right. The view across the river to Portsmouth is like no other, plus the river traffic and bridge openings, lobster boats, big ships, tugs, you name it. River breezes tend to keep things a little cooler. I'll be back.“

“great location, great views but wasn't impressed with the food. I had a 3 ounce lobster roll for $20+, they wanted $55 for a 6 ounce.😱 there was more roll then lobster and the roll was over toasted. The Cole slaw was right out of a bag and blah. The only good part was the blueberry margarita, but I think I overheard the employee say it was only 5%. They didn't offer whole lobster.🫤 Go for the view, maybe order a burger or hot dog.“

“Dockside is one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph! I've shot many weddings there and I've loved every one of them. The staff is top notch, the grounds are beautiful, and view is unmatched, and during your reception you'll probably be visited by a nosy great blue heron. He's popped up at most of the weddings I've shot there. There are so many wedding venues in Southern Maine, you probably can't do any better than Dockside.“

“They've got two of the best bartenders in New Hampshire, hands down. The vibe here is casual, friendly, and perfect for catching a game--there are TVs everywhere, so you won't miss a thing. The food is seriously impressive. The fish tacos are fantastic, and somehow they're offering a $9.99 lobster roll, which is hard to beat. Everything I've tried has been delicious. Drinks are just as good--$2 draft beers are always on special, which makes it even better. And yes--free popcorn! It's always a nice touch and makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. What really stands out, though, is the service. The staff checks in often without being overbearing, making sure you have everything you need. It genuinely feels like one of those places "where everybody knows your name." We had a tiny issue with one meal which was immediately acknowledged and fixed tenfold. Two members of the team checked on us several times after to make sure we were doing okay and then sent us home with an extra meal for later on the house.
