“If you are traveling to Rye, head here for breakfast and lunch. Easy to pop off the beach. Took a Labor Day trip to Rye and ate breakfast here with my spouse three mornings in a row. I loved the lox bagel, avocado toast, common roots burrito, teas and espresso. We also shopped in the store for drinks and grocery. What a diamond of a business! One of the baristas with long dark hair was a real sweetheart every morning. Really kind staff, lots of locals popping in. I am very grateful for the honesty of the business as I left my purse there and Frank the GM (who makes hot sauce!) returned it to me. Great business!“

“I actually did not go here. However, they had their beer at one of the restaurants where we had dinner. I must say that I never heard of that brand of beer. I was in the beer business in the south for 27 years. I tried the IPA that the restaurant offered. It was fantastic. If I had the opportunity I would have loved to go to their facility and check them out. I would recommend this beer!“

“Beautiful drive. Not too far from the freeway. Pick apples, peaches, raspberry (and others depending on season). They have a restaurant and lots of fresh baked goods including apple cider donuts, whoopie pies, scones, and fruit pies. Veggies/jams/wine/hard cider too!! Definitely worth a stop.“

Live music on the weekends But we also hosted our one year olds first birthday party here! We had about 40 people. I just drove through Aroma Joe’s with my two dogs, and I had the nicest experience with a girl named Ria. She was professional, kind, and so sweet with my dogs — she even gave them a pup treat with whipped cream and a biscuit. They never eat that kind of thing, but they absolutely loved it!

We talked for a minute about her future, and she shared that she wants to be a cosmetologist someday. It is so inspiring to see a 16-year-old with that much direction, confidence, and genuine kindness.

He's popped up at most of the weddings I've shot there. There are so many wedding venues in Southern Maine, you probably can't do any better than Dockside.“
