Amazing. I am NOT a fan of scones but these were MOIST, AND he makes them himself- with ACTUAL pieces of apple 🍎 in them…myyyyy goodness the snickerdoodle cookie?? 🍪 Ridiculous. Apple 🍏 slices in your grilled cheese?! Forever.

“We love their beer and staff. The space is welcoming. there's a baby changing table in the first bathroom no highchairs but they also only have snacks. Live music on the weekends But we also hosted our one year olds first birthday party here! We had about 40 people. Galen and Danielle (I did no catch the other bartenders name) were amazing and so so welcoming!! Definitely reach out if you want to host an event here! “I was planning to go to a different downtown restaurant and walked in to this one as it started raining. The waitress took every effort to ensure our dietary requirements were taken care of. They had quite a few veggie burger options. We picked The Cool Beans, which came with a black bean and corn patty. She was quite transparent with the fact that they used the same fryer and oil for frying meat,veggie appetizers and fries. So, she substituted fries with freshly sliced avocado. The burger itself was thick and juicy. We ordered a PB& Chocolate milkshake that capped out dinner. They went out of the way to limit cross contamination. Will definitely return.“

I just drove through Aroma Joe’s with my two dogs, and I had the nicest experience with a girl named Ria. She was professional, kind, and so sweet with my dogs — she even gave them a pup treat with whipped cream and a biscuit. They never eat that kind of thing, but they absolutely loved it!

We talked for a minute about her future, and she shared that she wants to be a cosmetologist someday. It is so inspiring to see a 16-year-old with that much direction, confidence, and genuine kindness.

Ria, keep up the good work — you’re going places. I can already tell.✨

(We have a 5 yo) she had 3 pieces of it. We also got a children’s item for our youngest and it came with cucumber and fries. Very yummy. She enjoyed it. My husband and I shared two apps and they were the poutine fries and pretzels. We heated them back up at the hotel because we were so full. But they tasted just as amazing. The environment was nice! Clean and friendly staff. My dad drives 2.5 hours from CT every few months just to eat here. That’s saying something.“

“Dockside is one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph! I've shot many weddings there and I've loved every one of them. The staff is top notch, the grounds are beautiful, and view is unmatched, and during your reception you'll probably be visited by a nosy great blue heron. He's popped up at most of the weddings I've shot there. There are so many wedding venues in Southern Maine, you probably can't do any better than Dockside.“
