“My girlfriend and myself, retired Philadelphia Police Officers were going on a cruise on 9/12/24 out of Cape Liberty. We arrived early and were looking for a cup of coffee and a quick breakfast. Luckily we picked Une Tasse Cafe, the coffee was fantastic and the breakfast wraps and pastries were delicious. The owner was warm and welcoming and introduced us to her dog, who actually let me pet him. I wish this restaurant was closer to where we live, coffee that good is hard to find. I just ordered two pounds on their web site so that I can enjoy it at home. Hopefully on our next cruise we will stop there again.“

“Looking for the best coffee spot in Bayonne? Look no further than Lavaccino! More than just a coffee shop, Lavaccino serves up perfectly brewed espresso, delicious sandwiches, refreshing juices, and creamy gelato 🍨 handmade to perfection. And don’t miss out on their exclusive, one-and-a-half-pound bar of Dubi chocolate—crafted in-house, it’s the best you’ll find in the tri-state area! Lavaccino’s cozy atmosphere and top-notch menu will keep you coming back for more. It’s a taste of Italy with a Dubai twist, right in your neighborhood😉“
“Best coffee in Bayonne! I'm a big fan of Cafe 26. The service is always excellent, the ladies at the register are always very kind and again the coffee, I thoroughly enjoy. This comes from a coffee enthusiast. Try anything, I'm sure it'll be great! I've tried multiple drinks, none disappoint. My fave (right now lol) cafe con leche, delicious!“

“Cute local spot to visit! Needless to say the Highlight of their menu was the dessert! Some baked goodies and options to choose from, went with the pumpkin roll and it was delicious and very tasty not too sweet so you can tell it’s homemade! The panini sandwiches were great had the pesto & smoky chicken both were great! Fries were a bit too greasy for my liking. Also, the Tex salad was just ok so could skip on it next time but the place overall is worth the try! You can’t go there in a hurry as they take a bit of time to prep the food so patient is a must! Staff is super friendly and helpful.“

There were lots of selections and we decided to play Catan and exploding kittens. I have not tried a drink but I would next time. Workers were really nice too :)“

“Loved this place. Cute little surprise in my neighborhood. Place was small but very charming. Staff was very accommodating, attentive and quick. Food looked and tasted amazing. Very flavorful. The icing on the cake was the music as they happened to play my type of alternative bands. This is definitely a 5 star spot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“We stopped by this café for a Saturday morning breakfast. The exterior was charming, which drew us in. Parking is street-only, so it can be tricky on busier days, but we lucked out.
I ordered a cortado—decent, nothing remarkable. I went with the avocado toast, which they’re apparently known for. It was as minimalist as it gets: a slice of ciabatta, olive oil, a generous amount of fresh avocado, salt, and pepper. No frills, but solid and satisfying. My friend had a multigrain croissant with sausage and egg—basic and hearty.
The café is mostly self-service, and while the vibe was relaxed, the service was quite slow. We even cleared our own table from the previous guests. It seemed a bit understaffed, but the food was fresh and filling. A cute local spot, though don’t expect speed or polish.“

“This cafe is so lovely. I had the pleasure of Desi and Aida assisting me with my order. They made the most delicious soy chai with amazing foam. Their desserts were amazing as well. It was refreshing to be greeted with such positive and friendly energy in New York. I can't wait to come back when I am in the area. Make sure to come to this cafe if you want a lovely experience and great food and drinks!“

“Matcha Cafe Maiko is my favorite spot for desserts! This spot is my go-to, especially when I'm craving matcha or hojicha flavors. The Maiko Special is always one of my favorites to order and share with a friend, but this month's specials were black sesame which I knew I had to try as well! I ordered the black sesame soft serve and my friend ordered the black sesame latte, and both were incredible! I'm a huge fan of black sesame flavored desserts, and these really hit the spot.
Also loved how the shop was decorated beautifully for Halloween! Amazing quality desserts, service, and vibes. I also appreciate how this location has a few benches outside, so when I visit with friends, we're able to sit together right outside the shop and enjoy our desserts. I've been here several times and will definitely will keep coming back!“

“Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food. The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

“Stunning cafe. Hidden gem for sure. In the middle of the craziest morning, I couldn’t have had a better slowdown than Orange House Cafe. The barista was really patient, kind. I was really taken aback when I saw the elegantly made cappuccino presented to me and the cookie smells delightful. Can’t wait to come back everyday.“

“I love Daily Provisions and order delivery from this location so often it's actually a little weird. Food is always good! I can't place an order from here without getting a cold brew and a blueberry muffin, the patty melt and tuna melt are so good, the chefy salad is perfect, and the breakfast sandwiches are great.
The only thing is that about 9/10 times I order, they do not include a straw for my iced coffee or a hot sauce for my breakfast sandwich. Tbh, they probably only send the hot sauce once out of every 20 orders (I really order from here a disturbing amount).
Whatever, the heart wants what the heart wants. But PLEASE start sending straws!! And maybe let me order a cruller online? :)“

“The food is absolutely fabulous. It is presented beautifully. We were going to go to the place next door, but due to the wait there, we ended up at Good Thanks. Such a delightful mistake. So much so that we came down again all the way from East Harlem to come back once more before the end of our trip. This is a must visit.“

“Slate Cafe NoMad is a great spot for a quick, satisfying meal. I noted it was busy but runs efficiently, and the staff is friendly. I tried the cauliflower soup, which was flavorful and well-made with sourdough bread. The green tea was also delicious. They also offer good vegan and vegetarian options, like the Dijon chickpea salad sandwich, which pairs well with the soup. The setup makes it easy to grab a meal without a long wait, and the atmosphere is welcoming. A solid choice for a casual lunch.
Vegetarian options: They have unique options and vegan choices
Dietary restrictions: They answered my questions“

“AMAZING PLACE!!! I’m vegan and although they don’t have vegan items on the menu they gave me a list of options I could eat! I got a Fava bean burrito with Egyptian salad, tahina, salsa verde, and their muffaletta mix(sun dried tomatoes and olives)! The flavors were super yummy and unique. The owner as well as the employees were all super sweet and quick to help me with options. If you’re a vegan in the area I’d totally check this place out!

“Came here 2 times. First time I ordered a latte and it was a 15 minutes wait. The latte tasted okay. The second time I ordered the light Cuban panini. The panini tasted very good. Didn’t need to wait long due to calling ahead 15 minutes. I wished they gave an extra packet of hot sauce. Overall, highly recommend the food!“

“Absolutely loved their pistachio soufflé—it was incredible! The cold brew was a bit too strong for our taste, but they had a wide variety of other beverages on the menu. “Great food with incredibly sweet staff!! The labneh zatar croffle was out of this world and the guy who took care of us really went the extra mile— asking about food allergies and recommending a nearby park to sit in. “I'm a Long Islander, I been lucky to have some amazing coffee places all over the states. But ironically I did not try their coffee nor did I give their lattes a try, I felt they were kind of small for the price and just a typical NYC thing, but let me just say it is probably worth it quality wise. The Croffles are AWESOME! I had a Tiramisu and Earl Grey one. Earl Grey cakes and flavors are making their way more onto menus and I am all for it! The early grey croffle was so good, and don't let the small size fool you, that thing filled me up. It is literally "something sweet" it was very sweet but so tasty. Tiramisu was really good too, I just felt it was nothing insane but it was tasty on the croffle. Maybe because also it had nothing to balance it with a bitter taste, Tiramisu lady fingers gives it that espresso taste, it did have some espresso beans and powdering on it but not strong enough for my taste. They also had matcha tiramisu they sell and have some cool pre-made stuff, a tasty Korean inspire one looked so good!
I love speciality coffee, but I have to give it to these places, they are smart to go into baking, this was so tasty and gave me a wake me up with it's natural tea and tiramisu did have a that espresso vibe.
Also shoutout to the workers, very friendly, super funny, not too casual friendly, professional and just very kind people. NYC is a fast place, especially around 55th it can feel like everything is moving quick, even a bit lonely the city that is so big, it was nice to just have a chill chat and meet someone nice and the workers were down to earth! I'm a bit of a fisherman hillbilly and NYC is too much for me when visiting to see family, but places like these keep me going!
Give this place a try, worth the money!“
