“My girlfriend and myself, retired Philadelphia Police Officers were going on a cruise on 9/12/24 out of Cape Liberty. We arrived early and were looking for a cup of coffee and a quick breakfast. Luckily we picked Une Tasse Cafe, the coffee was fantastic and the breakfast wraps and pastries were delicious. The owner was warm and welcoming and introduced us to her dog, who actually let me pet him. I wish this restaurant was closer to where we live, coffee that good is hard to find. I just ordered two pounds on their web site so that I can enjoy it at home. Hopefully on our next cruise we will stop there again.“

“Cute local spot to visit! Needless to say the Highlight of their menu was the dessert! Some baked goodies and options to choose from, went with the pumpkin roll and it was delicious and very tasty not too sweet so you can tell it’s homemade! The panini sandwiches were great had the pesto & smoky chicken both were great! Fries were a bit too greasy for my liking. Also, the Tex salad was just ok so could skip on it next time but the place overall is worth the try! You can’t go there in a hurry as they take a bit of time to prep the food so patient is a must! Staff is super friendly and helpful.“

“Lots of board games, events all the time and very price efficient memberships for regulars. The two private rooms have their own temperature regulation for different preferences and going solo is an option because there’s usually staff open to playing with you, though I highly suggest bringing friends. “What a delightful little breakfast/brunch place!!! We went here straight from the airport on our way into town, luggage and all, and it was perfect! We sat in the little outside area with the fans because the A/C was broken inside. My mom ordered the Grey Dog’s Breakfast with her eggs scrambled, French toast, and bacon, and it’s served with home fries. I ordered the egg and cheese croissant minus the parsley (not my fave) and added bacon. I’m picky about my home fries, so the server offered me french fries instead. We had exactly zero complaints about our meal. The portions are big, the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the French toast had this sweet butter with it that I can’t even compare to anything because it was so unique and delicious. The home fries ended up being DELICIOUS. The French fries were also good. I enjoyed the seasoning on them as well. I’m not a big fan of the thing shoe string fries, but these were good! The three employees we encountered were all very friendly and I would be more than happy to eat here again any time.“

“Vale’s Kafe & Kitchen is a hidden gem in Union City. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, like you’re visiting a friend. The service is professional and attentive. The food … oh so good! Clean and flavorful. The portions are just right, not outrageous. The coffee is also very good. The only setback I see is the entrance is not
accessible. I would suggest a ramp for those customers that have difficulty walking up/down steps. Also hours could be extended, say to include dinner on the weekend (Fri/Sat). Otherwise a must see.“

“The vibe here is so cozy warm and friendly, but it's not the best for settling in and getting work done due to their 90 min policy.

The cafe is spacious and the drinks and pastries are delicious. I wanted to try the famous pistachio croissant but they were out at 2pm! So I got the pistachio muffin on my guy's rec. It's filled with pistachio butter. So delicious, pistachio lover's dream. Their hot chocolate is really rich and chocolatey too, not watery at all.

As for service, the reviews about wanting to be the baristas' best friend are accurate, they are very kind and caring people. The guy who took my order thoughtfully toasted my muffin without me even asking!“

Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food.The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

“We were seated in the back at some corner which was pretty uncomfortable to me as I felt claustrophobic there. There was an available table in the front. I asked to be seated there but they couldn’t because “it’s a table for three” and it was two of us. Interestingly, they could seat one person at the table for two and they could seat three persons at the table for four.“

And then the drinks. I had never heard of a single spirit on the menu. Had a blast jumping around and being taken on a ride.

“The tofu Bánh mì is delicious (get the jalapeños and sriracha!) and portion size is HUGE. 1/2 is basically the size of a normal full size sandwich. The green papaya salad was also bangin’ but I forgot to take a photo. The atmosphere of the place is extremely pleasant - so cozy and really a nice aesthetic. This is a different Bánh mì than any I’ve ever had before, and though it’s not quite authentic/traditional in taste or style, it’s unique and delicious anyway.“
