“Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food.The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

“The food as amazing took my girlfriend out for her birthday we came for breakfast and everything tasted great we did sit outside and every 5-10 min a wasp would fly by to our table the staff did spray the greenery with a spray that did help but would recommend sitting inside when choosing but would definitely come back“

“5 stars are not enough to tell you how good this place is. We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!“

“This was delicious. Bread taste like French baguette, pate is amazing, pancake are calling me to come back.
The only down is that it was my husband birthday, & I asked for a candle on our pancake. The waiter which we liked because of his wine knowledge, told me « I got you, will add it on a chocolate tart ». when you hear this, you just think that this small attention will be free, like in every single restaurant in nyc. Unfortunately, when I got the check, I saw I was charged for this. Waiter didn’t wanted to remove it.
We will come back but definitely will ensure this is not for a special day, where you expect such simple attention.
Hence - still grade 5 stars as the food is the most important & it was delicious.“

“We went for Thanksgiving, not expecting much. Understanding they would be busy at 7pm, we decided to take our chances and walk in. Super friendly service. We got a welcome eggnog, brilliantly cooked 3 course price fix menu, great service. There were some hiccups (soup came out crazy fast, while the drinks took the normal time. A little odd) loved that they had a kobe steak as arn option, very moist turkey too. Pumpkin creme bruleee was tasty-not too "pumpkiny". They even have us a free champagne with dessert. Really worth it“

“Wonderful experience! Amazing Apps & Steak / Side. Great cocktails. Beautifully put together & appointed cozy bar & restaurant. Most importantly - the staff is amazing. Mike A was an outstanding server. It all started with a warm welcome by the Maitre D, a great conversation with the Hostess, and then an amazing experience by Mike & the serving staff. The soft shell crab & shrimp cocktail appetizers were exceptional. And we had the 30 oz porterhouse steak to share. Cooked to perfection. Finally, the steak sauce that is prepared at your table is epic. Highly, highly recommend!! Be informed - it does get loud in there when full of customers. Still can't wait to to go back!“

“We lived in nyc for 30 years. Recently moved to DE. God only knows how much we miss the nyc culture. Nothing holds a candle to it. “I want to work for Applebee's again I was with the company 3 years serving and was losing my apartment one day I mentioned to manager Guillermo of Hackensack NJ Applebee's that I had to leave because the police was at my house doing eviction and he wouldn't let me go. I turned in the restaurant money and left because what do you do when ur in the middle of an eviction and your boss wasn't being understanding or reasonable?...... I went to attend my personal situation with my apartment at the time and he then red flagged me from working for Doherty ent. Again .....is there a way I can get a fair hearing and get back to working with the company I started ever serving at my first time ever?“

“Went to Orchard townhouse on a Monday with my bestie she got a glass of cab sauv and I got chamomile fields, which I loved. For appetizer we got the prosciutto & stracciatella, which was fantastic! Lastly, we split the burger and the kale Caesar. They were nothing to write home about but good nonetheless. I loved the vibe in this place it was cozy and intimate. I will say my only complaint is we felt a little rush towards the end and that surprised us since the place was no where near closing nor was it busy.“

As a Southerner that works for a NJ company, the 101 Pub represents everything great about the area - the local feel, the strong drinks, the vocal opinions about the sports teams. Not to be missed.“
