“I have lived in town for about 6 years. We found this restaurant online and gave it a try. We ordered the pineapple and chicken fried rice, a dish called Phoenix, and the General Tso's Shrimp. “My family and I come here all the time for large family gatherings. The food is absolutely phenomenal here, especially the pecking duck buns and sweet and sour pork. We also love the soy sea bass, crispy chicken, ginger scallion lobster, pork chops and corn egg drop soup. One time we brought them king crab legs to cook and they cooked all of our king crab legs to perfection!! I don’t usually write google reviews but this place is so special to me and my family and adore this spot. The service is so fast and attentive and they are kind enough to provide free dessert whether that be fresh oranges, fresh fruit or even sometimes sweet red bean soup! Please consider coming here and supporting them! They’re so deserving, hardworking and kind!!“

“In my continued quest to find a New York style Chinese restaurant, based on recommendations from neighbors, I tried this restaurant. I ordered online at their website which was fairly easy to do. Being a bargain hunter I couldn’t resist the family dinner for six. It came with six egg rolls, six chicken on sticks, six cheese wontons, 2 quarts of soup, two quarts of fried rice, and choice of three entrees. It came with all of the appropriate sauces, crispy noodles, etc. The delivery was promised in 55 minutes and the food arrived exactly on-time. The egg rolls were crispy and very good. The chicken on the stick was very moist and tasty. The wonton soup was tasty and very traditional. The cheese wontons were a very nice starter and the dipping sauce added nice sweetness. For entrees we had sesame chicken which got a thumbs up from my wife. I ordered roast pork lo mein which was also a thumb up. I struggled deciding on a third entree and finally gave in to honey chicken (not my personal favorite because of the thick coating batter). Overall, a very competent dinner. I’m glad the food was really good because we’ll be eating the leftovers for many days!“

The Sweet and Sour Pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right balance of sweet and sour flavors. The restaurant also pays attention to detail in presentation. We enjoyed their fried rice, orange chicken, and steamed chicken with broccoli. The fried dumplings were on the oily side, so we’ll probably get them steamed for our next order. “The food here was incredibly flavorful and prepared very quickly – we were the only four guests around 3 PM. We truly enjoyed the taste and speed of service.

However, I was displeased to see that we were charged for six portions of rice when we ordered four dishes totaling $90. I believe that one rice portion should have been included per dish, making a charge for two extra portions fair. Given that our four dishes combined for $90, it felt a bit like a hidden $1.50 per dish to pay for rice that really should have been complementary.

While the food itself was excellent, the unexpected rice charges definitely impacted my overall impression.“

“One of our favorite sushi spots in NJ!! They use environmentally sustainable packaging and almost always give us something “on the house” usually either some crab Rangoon, or a few extra pieces of different kinds of sushi to try.
They recently took their sweet and sour chicken off the menu which was a bummer since it was sooo good and crispy, but it got my picky eater to branch out and try sushi and he ended up loving it! An incredible loss to Pompton Lakes and the many customers who called Golden Garden their regular place. I did for well over 10 years. Please keep the two wonderful ladies, if you are a regular you know who I mean, in your thoughts as they and their families chart a course forward and eventually come back from this devastating loss. I know Golden Garden and the people that worked so hard will be sorely missed by so many in Pompton Lakes. It's a very sad moment deleting this one from my speed dial. Dan S.“

“Looking for a change in ordering Chinese food and was very happy with this restaurant. Their hot and sour soup was so flavorful. Just the right amount of hot and seasoned perfectly. The chicken chow mein was delicious with lots of chicken and a wonderful sauce. The pork fried rice also was nicely prepared with excellent flavors. Even their egg rolls were nice and crispy without being greasy. Will be adding the China Pavilion to our list of takeout locations.“

Five star review every time, this is our third time ordering and the new Chinese place for us in the indefinite future. Fast delivery usually. “Fast and good food. Very reasonable prices. Not quite a place for sit down but there are a few tables to sit and eat. It's generally for take out, either pick up or deliver. Parking lot is small. Getting in to lot is easier than getting out. Being it's location is at a corner which is often busy. Hard to turn left out of the lot due to the traffic pattern. Love the food there.

“We stumbled upon Lins on a freezing day and it was so wonderful!!! They brought us hot tea and fresh hot and sour soup, SOOO GOOD! We had three combo meals (chicken & cashew, veggie, broccoli & garlic) with the pork fried rice and devoured it!! So delicious! We also had fried dumplings and scallion pancakes. Between the 4 of us it was only $20 each, and it was SO GOOD and so much food ! 10/10 highly recommend 🩷 and everyone is so sweet and friendly there!! :)“

Then had the fried rice, braised duck with mixed vegetables, and pan-fried flounder. Delicious. The service was good and attentive, though quite pricey, especially the duck ( $38), and there wasn't much meat, just more vegetables. But the flounder was worth it, $32.95.“

I called for delivery 1/2hr before closing. They were very kind on the phone and at delivery, even though it was at closing. The food arrived hot and VERY DELICIOUS!! The only downfalls were that the General Tso's were a bit soggy but that was from the steam in the container. I understand that. The other downfall was that I wish I ordered more!! The General Tso's, egg rolls, pork fried rice ( it had plenty of veggies for fried rice) and cheese wonton were all very tasty. THANK YOU for the great food and service!!
