“We had visited this place because we were craving soul food, and they did not disappoint. The jerk chicken cheesesteak was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. We also order the jerk chicken platter with collard greens, Mac and cheese, and yams and it did not disappoint. By far the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had from a take out place. The yams were so tender and the greens were perfect. The food was a tad pricey but it’s so worth it for the quality of the food. I definitely will be back for more. The customer service was also amazing as well!“

“Came in to town ordered take out , our first time eating there, food was very good especially the mac and cheese and fried fish, my only complaint, i ordered just the fish and no sides i was told i get 3 pieces of fish, i only got all the way home and it was 2 lil pieces of small fish, it was good though but i paid $20 for that? i also had the turkey wing platter it was good but i can’t stand eating big turkey wings that look like they was injected with something , them was some big ole turkey wings. had to trash one. My fiancé got the wing dings and fries he said the wings was pretty good.“

“Yesterday was my first time coming here and when I say everything exceeded my expectations! The salmon rolls ? babyyyy they were the best! I was going to go back today for more but they’re closed, so I’ll be back Sunday! The food was made with love and care and you can tell! That’s so hard to find in Philly nowadays. The crab cakes were delicious too! The service was amazing as well. I was in the car eating and the chef still checked to see if I enjoyed the food. 10/10 recommend. “I truly don’t know how they make the food taste so rich and delicious. Love the wings, bbq chick’n, plantains, collard greens- all of it. Their baked goods are without a doubt, the best vegan baked goods I’ve ever had. I would rank them among the best of any baked goods I’ve ever had – vegan or not. The blueberry coffee cake is my favorite, but all of their desserts are fabulous. I’ve eaten in a couple times, but usually I do take out. I usually just order a lot of extra food and break it into meals and freeze it.“

“I had the turkey wings with gravy, yams, and collard greens. The turkey wings were good, but the collard green was a little bit salted for my taste. The yams that I had were not potato but looked to be mash.

“I’ve been going to Lagos since 2015 Lagos will never do you wrong from the Rice to the Pasta to the Wings and the Pizza my favorite thing about them is their homemade strawberry lemonade with real fresh cut up strawberry pieces in it. They need to bring back the half gallons if you ask me, The customer service is amazing everyone’s nice and friendly down to the chefs and the Vibe there is comforting as well you’ll walk in on a Tuesday and they’ll be playing one of your favorite songs like this place is all that I’m telling you, I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this spot to anyone who’s looking for something different I’ve been doing it for years! -LM“

Items that I had baked turkey wings (, mac n cheese, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes with gravy, and dressing. All were good. They need to serve a bread. My bestfriend had the fried fish and it was soooo good. I wouldn't recommend the greens...they were missing something besides hot sauce.

Great to see a black owned and operated place thriving. Im from Indiana and I will be back.

“5 star experience and service. I was very excited to come to this black owned restaurant in Philadelphia. It was me and my partner 2 year anniversary so we thought we would enjoy the live Jazz show as well. As soon as we walked it we were greeted with by warm smiling faces which made us feel very welcome. The ambience was amazing and decor was very unique We arrive about 30 minutes before the show and headed over to the bar to grab a drink before the show , the cocktails were very good and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. The bar is very small , all the seats were taken so we had to stand. Once we were seated in the jazz lounge area by our waiter he suggested somethings and went over the specials. We started off with the devil eggs and cornbread. For our entrees I had the Fried Chicken and my partner had the prime rib. Everything came out quickly and at the perfect temperature. The manager, host, waiter, and the band were phenomenal. They were even nice enough to give us a shout out and complementary dessert for our anniversary. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. The hospitality here is exceptional.“
