“Always love the Lobster House, been going for years. Ate at the Raw Bar. Had the grilled swordfish with lemon butter, side of fries and corn on the cob. Fish was cooked perfectly and the corn was nicely cooked, not mushy.
Was a rainy day after Labor Day so was slow, but still loved eating on the deck looking at the water and boats.“

“I have used Lucky Bones’s Eric three times in the last five years for catering parties at my home/in my yard. Twice I also booked waitresses with my party. The food is always delicious, the service reliable. We ran out of chicken tenders for the kids once and they brought over a new batch! Everything is set up as ordered and arrives on time. You can’t go wrong with them for your party. My father’s small after-funeral reception was in their back room and my husband and I eat at the restaurant at least once a month. Highly recommend.“

The meal started with complimentary fresh-made bread, followed by a delightful house salad. The main courses—filet, halibut, and a lobster/scallop appetizer in the shallot cream sauce—were all flavorful and cooked to perfection. And the Truffle Yukon mashed potatoes? Simply the best I’ve ever had. Dessert was a tower of homemade cookies surrounded by fresh fruit and decadent vanilla icing.

“I went in tonight a little after closing and the guys were cleaning up. I asked if they wer3 closed and was told yes. When I asked if anyplace else sold lobster roll Will politely said he didnt know of any place. And was kind enough to make is 2 lobster rolls after closing. Delicious and generous portions. Thanks Will. We had a long day and this was the perfect ending after getting everyone settled in for the night.“

“Fresh and interesting menu. Everything we had was perfect. Smoked salmon and noodle aps were both great starters to share. Scallops, crab cakes, swordfish entrees were delicious. FIVE STAR everything at a very good price.
The oysters, the bluefish, the squid, the tile fish....Everything was fresh and prepared and presented perfectly.
And the wait staff even better.
Will be going back again for certain.

“My husband and I have been visiting Cape May for years now, and we cannot understand how we waited this long to stop in the Oyster Bay Bar & Restaurant for dinner. We spent a few weeks in the area this year and had meals at the Oyster Bay Bar three times!! From our first visit, we felt so incredibly welcomed beginning with a nice chat with the hostess as we waited for our table. Just from that brief chat during our first visit, the same hostess greeted me by my name on our 2nd visit. I’m embarrassed to say that I cannot remember her name, but I will say that she was incredibly lovely and personable. Our server, Bobby, who took care of us on both our first and last visits, had a wonderful personality, sharing some tidbits with us of the history of the restaurant and with being local to the area, answered some of our questions about the holiday season in Cape May. Now, about the food…with each visit we tried something new and found each meal to be delicious and satisfying. Our favorite appetizer, which we had on all three visits, was the charbroiled oysters. Absolutely delightful!! The mix of the Parmesan cheese in the garlic butter….so very good!! My husband and I always like to do something special on our last night of vacation…and you guessed it, the Oyster Bay Bar was our choice for dinner! The lovely hostess greeted us once again and mentioned to the owner, Gary, that this was our third visit and that we chose this restaurant as our last dinner on vacation. Gary stopped by our table, after sending a complementary round of drinks to us, and spent time speaking with us. Knowing we were tossing the idea of a return visit during the holidays, he gave us his personal cell phone number to reach out to him for not only restaurant reservations but also if we had any other questions regarding the holiday visit. Never before, have I encountered such genuine kindness and graciousness in a visit to a restaurant establishment. I cannot stress to all who take the time to read this review that you most definitely must stop in the Oyster Bay Bar & Restaurant for a meal. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Gary, Bobby and the most loveliest hostess for adding to our vacation memories and experiences.“

Sean, the manager and sommelier was so knowledgeable about wine and gave us great a recommendation on an exquisite bottle of wine, which paired perfectly with our dinner. this restaurant surpassed our expectations“
“Picked it because of the name TBH. We just recently lost our own Dave to cancer and I thought it would be cool. The worker at the counter was a sweetheart, even checking on us while we ate outside. The clam strips were the best I have ever had in my life and the crab cakes were amazing. We can’t wait to come back next year.“

“What an amazing meal last night. We have been here many times before and some of the old standbys (the pate for example) remain excellent. The fois gras preparation was creative, visually attractive, and delicious. We both had duck, but different dishes and both thought they were among the best we've ever had. The cassoulet was moist, the beans plump and juicy. Not dry like they so often are. And the addition of some saffron was a great addition and really impacted the taste. The duck l'orange was amazing. The addition of a little bit of candied orange rind was brilliant and brought huge pops of orange flavor to a perfectly cooked duck breast. The vegetable of the day also deserves a mention. Perfect parsnip puree topped with perfectly roasted brussel sprouts. The apple tart for dessert was the right size to share. Light, buttery, and the caramel sauce was delicious. Our best meal yet here. We will be back!!“

“our meal was excellent. The Scallop and risotto appetizer was done to perfection. The Sirloin steak was prepared just as ordered. The service was excellent. The only complaint was the extreme noise level. Conversation at the table was difficult with all the background noise. We would recommend going after 7pm“

“Our family loved it here, first time this weekend. They have a huge menu, and all three meals came out fantastic. The pork and sauerkraut was the best I've ever had, very tender and flavorful. The ribs and shepherd's pie were fantastic as well. They had indoor and outdoor seating, and very easily accommodated us with a stroller and little one. Drinks were good too, my apple cider mule was perfect. Definitely will go back.“

“Just landed in Cape May looking for a place to grab a quick bite we stopped at the ugly mug in Cape May. The service was excellent. The crabcakes had so much crab in them that I could not finish them. Their coleslaw is excellent out of a 10 I would give this old-time Kate Bay Restaurant 10 out of 10.“

“We celebrated our 53rd anniversary there tonight. They could not have been nicer to us. They treated us to a very special evening. Balloons at the table and complimentary champagne. They also treated us to a dessert of our choice. The food was delicious. I think we found our new favorite restaurant.“

“Love everything about this restaurant from views, service and of course food choices. Tonight we started off with the Lobster ravioli appetizer in a shallot sauce, followed by a house salad and then we split the filet and lobster tail. The quality of food is amazing and we always enjoy our meals at Primal!“
