“It had been a little bit since we've been in (life gets in the way sometimes) but as soon as my husband & I walked in the door we were hit with that heavenly Blimpies scent of fresh ingredients that is indicative of Blimpies & Blimpies alone. It just smells like delicious subs. We realized, after speaking to the wonderful owner, that we've been getting the BEST subs in the world at this location for over 40 years! My pick is a "Blimpies Best" (extra oil & vinegar) honestly it was perfect. My husband gets a turkey & provolone which was terrific (he gave me puppy dog eyes & got a huge chunk of mine too)
Eateries come & go but the best stay, this is worthy of place in your rotation.
I should also say that I live in Nutley with quite a few Italian delis & pizzerias so if I'm saying the Italian sub (Blimpies Best) is terrific that's saying a lot.“

“I had one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a Subway, and it’s entirely thanks to Kumar. From the moment I spoke to him, he greeted me with a genuineness and made me feel welcome. I’m a bit particular about how I like my sandwich made, and instead of rushing me or seeming annoyed, Kumar listened patiently to every single request and made sure he got it exactly right. He even offered a couple of suggestions for combinations I hadn’t thought of, and they turned out to be perfect. The sandwich itself was honestly the best one I’ve had.

Everything was fresh, the toppings were laid out evenly instead of all bunched in the middle, and it was toasted exactly the way I asked. You can tell Kumar actually takes pride in his work rather than just going through the motions. It’s a small thing, but the care he puts into each sandwich makes a real difference, and I noticed he was just as attentive with all the other customers in line. What also stood out was how clean and well-organized everything was behind the counter. Kumar kept the station tidy, changed his gloves without being asked, and handled the whole process with a level of attention to detail you don’t always see.

Even when a small line started forming, he never let the quality slip or seemed flustered, he just kept moving efficiently while still giving each person his full attention. That kind of consistency under pressure says a lot about someone’s work ethic. Kumar is the kind of employee any business would be lucky to have. He was kind, patient, professional, and genuinely friendly the entire time, even though the store was busy. “First time here and new to the area. I had no wait time. Smoke turkey and provolone sub was perfection. Soft fresh roll and all the veggies and meat was freshly sliced. I asked for specific items and they made it exactly like I asked.

Now the guy working that day can use some people skills (greet people, smile, saying thank you) but he did make an amazing hoagie. Someone just please tell him it’s ok to smile at paying customers 😁

The establishment has street parking, wide sidewalks and easy to see awning. Inside needs some cleaning, paint and new tiles. Nothing much to look more welcoming but the food is amazing, still.

No inside dining or bathroom. Some seats while you wait.

I also love the clear glass to see your sandwich being made. That’s so classic!

Will be back because summer is definitely for nice chilled subs.

“Had a bad experience with a driver that picked up the delivery online. If you want the best delivery service, call the store directly because they will take very good care of you. They have their own drivers, so you can be assured that your food will be delivered fresh and safely handled. The owner made things right by making me a new sandwich and delivering it personally. In September 1990 I moved from Newark to Kearny and on that weekend I experienced the great subs and service at D&F deli and was very happy. 35 years later it's the same, maybe even better. I'm diabetic now so I can't enjoy bread as much as I would like but the staff is kind and make a sub salad for me. I go in the later afternoon and it's a virtual all star team that serves as the staff. Anthony, Justin, Brandon, Emily and Debi are unique wonderful human beings who make everyone feel like family. The person who helps make these individual all stars into a cohesive team of Avengers is their inspirational leader Zack. He's the straw that stirs the drink. Zack serves as a mainspring does in an old fashioned watch and keeps everything working perfectly. Zack is a very kind human being with a big heart, the size of a 6 foot sub. Highest possible recommendation for D&F deli. Go there, you'll be happy you did.“

“Unlike some others we had excellent service. When ordering a salad, it was carefully chopped for easy eating. At other locations they sometimes just throw whole slices of meat on the salad which is much more difficult to cut with the chintzy plastic knives they provide.

“I stopped by this deli on a whim, and I’m really glad I did. Their cheesesteak is honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while—super flavorful, plenty of meat and cheese, and just really satisfying overall. You can tell they know what they’re doing.

The staff was also really friendly and down-to-earth. They made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in, and the whole vibe of the place is just comfortable and laid-back. It’s the kind of spot you feel good coming back to.

“Popped into Henry's Fine Foods to get take out sandwiches for my sister and I to get sandwiches to bring to my Mom's place. The have a descent sized seating area and a large we selection of convenience items.

We ordered BLTs and Grilled Cheese. Sandwiches were great and the 2 Team Members were wonderful !!!
