“Great food at very affordable prices“

“My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Hens & Honey Shoppe for Swedesboro, our 136th town.

We had seen this place pop up on our social media feeds, and couldn't wait to try it when we came to town. (Check out their Instagram for great coffee pics and the funny Reels the crew makes.) Valerie & the H&H team exceeded expectations! First off, the shop itself is a work of art with lots of insta-photo-friendly decor.

The iced coffee flight is a must. It's what we came for. We got to try the Fall Special line up (Jack O, Pecan Lane, Flannel Jacket, and Harvest Moon).

It's not just a coffee shop though. The gourmet toasts they offer make for some of the most unique & delicious breakfast or brunch options I've seen. We tried the Smoked Salmon and Bourbon Sweet Honey toasts. WOW! Each of these were a party in our mouths. If we lived close enough, we'd come back more often to try all the toasts out!

The place gets busy, so you might have a wait, but it's WELL worth it.

Disclaimer: I'm writing this review almost a year after we first visited, and the shop has expanded to a larger space in the same plaza that looks just as cool. Can't wait to swing by again between visits to other towns our next time in Gloucester county! (As of Oct 2024, 243 Jersey towns visited, 321 to go!)“

The sandwiches are a bit on the pricier side but usually big enough that I split them into 2 meals. If you go on a weekend or holiday I suggest ordering ahead on their website, I was quoted 25-30 min when I ordered at the counter on a Sunday.“

“Today I stopped at The Hungry A. I have driven buy there many times. As I walked in the owners and people in there all greeted me like they know me. I had a coffee and it was one of the best I ever had. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. I will be be back. But what really got to me I walk with a cane and one of the girls there saw I was having a hard time she came around the counter and took what I was carrying and helped me to my car. Today there are not many people that are kind as she was. It made me know that there is still kind people in this world. If every would take the time to be kind to someone just once maybe it could be a start to make this world just a little better“

“So I’ve always had wonderful experiences at the one in Red Bank , the baristas are always so nice and friendly and the coffee amazing. Well today that was not the case. I got there at 2:56 and the open sign was still out. Another woman pulls up behind me and also gets out. Someone finally comes to the window and instead of saying hey how are y’all she says “ I just want y’all to know we close at 3 today not 4. But since you’re already here I’m going to go ahead and make you a drink today.(like she had thought about not serving us). And she said it’s 50 cents for whip cream, do you have 50cents . 🙄 me like umm I just paid 5 dollars for a drink and I can’t get whip cream... she then proceeds to tell me it’s not included in the price ... how was I to know this ?!?! I didn’t have any change of course so I thought well usually they would prob just give it to you and let you know this unusual pricing ( how much could a swirl do whip cream cost...) but no ... no whip cream for me. And my husbands frap was so thick it would hardly come out of the straw. Not happy with my experience today at Grace coffee company 😔 I’m trying not to let one bad experience ruin it for me because I do recommend this place .“

“Absolutely love this bakery! They offer handmade treats that you won’t just find at any grocery store bakery, but instead a real nice and upscale mini bakery. Their menu items often change, incorporating new and exciting ideas often. Some yummy ones that I tried are tiramisu, pavlova, caramel cheesecake, pumpkin cheesecake, fruit tarts, and more!
