“You really can't go wrong with any of Red's food.And such reasonable prices compared to other island vendors. My personal favorite is her sweet onions and bacon dog, and her chili with potato sticks. Sounds odd I know, but trust me...she has so many unique toppings to make any combo. Then my other fav is an open faced loaded knish. She also does burgers, and baked potatoes, and thee BEST CUP OF CHILI!!! RUN, DONT WALK!!! YOU'LL BE HOOKED.“

“I grew up in NYC so I’m no stranger to halal carts. Since I’ve moved to JC (which I know is only across the river, but the food scene really is different), I have yet to find my go-to halal spot… until now! I paid $10 for a chicken over rice. The chicken was so juicy and they were very generous with the chicken and sauce. So delicious but also so dangerous that I’m so close by“

“Wowww so good and fresh! I got a chicken & salad platter along with a lamb & chicken pita. I ordered through a third party app and the food was still so warm. The chicken is soo nice, fresh, thick, and juicy. I love the sauces. Boyfriend ate the pita too fast to show a picture haha. Never ordering from any other halal again.“

“They aren't always there, but when they are, considerate it your lucky day. Some of the best hot dogs I've had, I recommend trying one with cooked onions and cheese, simple yeah, but it's all you need.
I've literally been going here for years (since I was a kid), perfect snack after a walk around the Rahway River Park. You can even ask for your hotdogs to go (they just wrap 'em up and put them in a bag).“

“Went on a weekend, when the truck is in the LA Fitness lot in Kearny. The best tacos we have ever had, outside Mexico. Birria, al pastor, chicken tacos all top-tier.
If you like eggs, I also strongly suggest the breakfast burritos, no matter what time of day. Get one and split it or save the other half for later, but don't miss it.“

“Found the spot by accident just searching the area I was for a hot dog spot, old school food truck in the parking lot of the American Legion plenty of parking. I had the chili dog with onions and cheese and a dog with mustard and kraut, the chili cheese dog was very good the chili was tasty the cheese was a cheese sauce of some kind and the sauerkraut was delicious Price is Right I enjoyed it. Also as there is no seating there I ate it in my vehicle while it was nice and hot he wraps the dogs up in wax paper perfectly there was no mess from the chili or the cheese or even the sauerkraut I was able to eat them in my vehicle nice and warm and not make a mess Kudos Sal!!“

“Westside Shawarma is back with a vengeance. Never have I seen so much demand for a small food spot. Literal posts on the internet asking about this place. I was excited to see the G.O.A.T return, and more so with a proper shop. I got so excited, I ordered two chicken platters and only managed to finish one. “I have to admit that my expectations were low because traditional Mexican food on the east coast is rare as hens teeth. My wife and I were amazed to find the fresh ingredients and complimentary flavors reminded us of some of our favorite restaurants on Cozumel. My only complaint is that the food is too good for a food Truck. Mike already figured this out because he's opening a restaurant. I can't wait to see his presentation on some colorful Mexican crockery. Traditional rum, tequila, and mescal drinks would make a perfect evening.“

“Okay, we've been coming to this truck since 2008 or so, when my son was a student at NJIT.I'm going to say that the best food here are the platters, especially the chicken platter; unfortunately my son insisted on the Samosa Tikki Sandwich. It was good, but the platters, with extra white sauce, and a sprinkle of red pepper, is worth the visit. Enjoyed the sandwich. The picture is only a fourth of the sandwich.“
